Baron needed a couple of days to really let everything sink in while also moving what was left of the army that didn’t all desert and regrouping with Guan Yu, Chen Di, and all of the others. This experience had truly given him a wakeup call. It took someone as powerful as Xuan Feng to make him really feel at his wit's end, though being on this planet and going to war for so long that emotions had eventually been desensitized from him, this was the first time that he had felt so powerless and weak. He needed to get stronger, a lot stronger. There was just one problem, he knew that even with Roxi’s superior weapons, their group would not even be all that powerful in the grand scheme of things. Strategists were what reigned supreme here, not weapons.

The skill of his and his allies were barely up to par, how were they supposed to surpass everyone? They had some amount of skill, but it was insignificant in even Xuan Feng’s eyes, what would it account for if they were to go up against an elder? One of the two great elders? The strategists of Jordsand? This weighed heavily on Baron’s heart, and he was definitely not alone in this state. His army managed to regroup with the others just half a week later. Roxi and Yue Fei were pained by the way that Baron was going about the whole situation and they hoped that Guan Yu would be able to talk some sense into him. The two of them had a private conversation alone.

(GY) “Baron, you must understand that this situation that you are in is not your fault. There are just monsters all around this community, not to mention the entire planet. Getting depressed at someone of his skill level is not healthy for your mind.” Guan Yu tried to speak softly to Baron.

(BM) “Guan Yu, you don’t need to cheer me up or anything like that. I have been thinking about that ever since I got onto this planet. What I am worried about is that Xuan Feng is going to be returning to us with his entire army this time. I just don’t know if we will be able to stop him from completely crushing us.” Baron confessed.

(GY) “Not to worry, we will only have to worry about Xuan Feng’s army now. Once this news gets out, not a single other faction will lay their fingers on us until we have fought with that guy.”

(BM) “That is the only good news that is happening to us now, I heard that Xuan Feng only brought a little under a fifth of his army, that means that he most likely still has 150,000 soldiers under him alone. Not to mention his closest allies that he had mentioned. At best, we will match Xuan Feng’s army number wise, at worst we will be outnumbered potentially 2:1.”

(GY) “I have an idea about that, ever since Roxi briefed me on what had happened a few days ago, I took the liberty of inviting over a few guests that could aid us in pushing back this army.”

(BM) “Who?”

(GY) “Well, let’s go see shall we?” He said as he led Baron to a meeting room with a few familiar faces that he felt conflicted about and a few others he had no idea who they were.

(BM) “Zhang Da Zhi, Qi Ji Guang, and Ding Lai Hang? You really sure about this?”

(GY) “What choice do we have?”

(DLH) “Baron, Guan Yu you have finally decided to show up.” Ding Lai Hang, the aerial specialist, spoke as if he was their superior.

(QJG) “Stop that. Let’s at least try to get along this time shall we?” Qi Ji Guang, the naval specialist, addressed the entire room.

(ZDZ) “As the leader of my alliance, I agree that would be for the best. Now you two sit down and we can begin discussions.” Zhang Da Zhi, the big boss, agreed.

(BM) “Please,” Baron said as he and Guan Yu sat down next to Yue Fei.

(GY) “Now, I’m sure you know the events of what happened to Baron and his army when he fought Xuan Feng just days earlier.”

(DLH) “I heard that you got your ass handed to you, Baron. Hahahaha. That’s hilarious.”

(QJG) “DING LAI-” He started but was interrupted by Baron.

(BM) “It’s quite alright, Qi Ji Guang. He is absolutely correct. Xuan Feng did indeed beat me down as if a newborn was fighting an adult gorilla.”

(GY) “That is not the point of this meeting, what we have not told you was that Xuan Feng is coming back with his entire army this time and potentially a couple of others.”

(ZDZ) “We all share borders with each other, it would be bad if you lost to them as there is a high chance that they would come after one of us next.”

“You’re suggesting an alliance between alliances? That’s rather interesting.”

(ZDZ) “Indeed it is. You want us to help you? We will need some incentive first before we will commit our forces to your cause. Am I right gentlemen?”

“Absolutely.”

“No doubt, this will take a huge toll on our forces if we do participate.”

“That reason alone would require quite a bit of recompense against anyone. Not to mention someone of Xuan Feng’s capabilities. This will cost you a bit more than an arm and a leg.”

(BM) “I will give all of you unlimited use of the Gatling Gun set up that I have used previously against Zhang Da Zhi for the duration of the tournament. He will attest to the power that these weapons can cause.”

(ZDZ) “While I can say that that is an extremely useful blueprint, I would much prefer if you just gave it to us instead of letting us use it.”

(GY) “Don’t go too far, Zhang Da Zhi, you know how important such blueprints are?”
