Xuan Feng, a prodigy of the Yellow Wang faction, took quite a large force with him so that he may have a little bit of fun with Baron. The army that followed him was by no means weak but accounted for under a fifth of his total forces. He felt this amount would be perfect for testing out Baron and seeing how much of his force he needed to use to fully take out his entire group. Marching his army along a nearly 60-kilometer trek, he made his way to Baron’s position. Along the way, he got many radio messages from some of his close allies asking about where he was going. The only thing he answered was to find a new challenge.

Baron was now recuperating his army and was just planning what he would be doing after his army was once again ready to fight. At the moment, he was staying at one of his outposts at the very edge of his territory. The very next opponent that he was thinking about to do battle with was a bit of a challenge and he had just invited Yue Fei over so that both of them plus Roxi would be able to team up and take down this troublesome group together. This group was one that was named the Congee Avalanche, and as weird as that name was, they were quite the well-known strategists. While the two of them were planning out what they were going to do to get the upper hand on these tacticians, a messenger came with news of Xuan Feng.

(M) “Important news, sirs. Xuan Feng of the Yellow Wang faction will be here in the next couple of days to do battle with us.” The messenger reported.

(BM) “How did you come by this information?” Baron asked skeptically.

(M) “We received a radio message from one of Xuan Feng’s top vassals. Here is the full message.” He said while handing over a piece of paper to Baron.

(BM) “Strategist Baron, it has come to my attention that you and your little group has made quite a name for yourselves after you managed to take out Bai Qi during the aerial tournament. Even though the one that is most responsible for this fiasco is not with you currently, I still wish to test out your skill. Meet me North of the forest about 3 kilometers from your current base and I will have my army meet you there. I wish you luck as I hope I did not waste my resources to do battle with a mediocre general” Baron read aloud.

(YF) “Xuan Feng has quite a reputation about him. He is one of the rising stars of the Yellow Wang faction, not as prodigious as Li Guang that’s for sure, but he is still one tough strategist.” Yue Fei said worriedly.

(BM) “Thank you, messenger, you may leave. If they send any more messages, be sure to notify us immediately.”

The messenger cupped his hand then quickly left.

(BM) “I can’t believe someone from that clan is targeting us. It feels sort of unwarranted.”

(YF) “Perhaps not, I have overheard about Xuan Feng being one of the disciples of Lian Po, but his personality is a bit more like Bai Qi.”

(BM) “If that is so, perhaps he looks up to Bai Qi and seeing his role model get taken down piqued his interest in us.”

(YF) “That is a possibility, but I’m not too sure why he told us in advance of his attack. Hold on, check the leaderboard for this guy.”

(BM) “It looks like he is above us in the rankings by quite a bit and is within the top 15% while we are in the top 30%. I can sort of see where his arrogance stems from, but from that message he sent to us, it seemed like he considered us more as playthings rather than actual opponents.”

(YF) “I have that feeling too, but no matter, we will postpone the battle with Congee Avalanche and focus on an open battlefield battle with Xuan Feng for now.”

Suddenly, Roxi came into the room wondering what all of the fuss was about. Normally, she would leave all of this to Baron as she did not have an interest in managing an army, but she would pop in from time to time to check how things were going.

(RB) “Did something happen?” Roxi asked completely oblivious of the events that were about to go down.

(BM) “Yes, there is, a top-tier strategist has come to do battle with us. If I’m not mistaken, he is the real deal. We might need to use that extra secret weapon of yours.”

(RB) “The Brilliant Blue? Is it that serious?”

(BM) “I’m afraid it is. Don’t forget your mask, even if you haven’t been seen all that much during this tournament, it is always good to be on the safe side.”

(RB) “Of course, I’ll get the weapon prepared.”

(BM) “Remember though, only use the weapon under my command, it would be a tragedy if we used it if we really didn’t need to. An element of surprise is crucial in such a high rewards event like this. Once we unleash it, everyone will know about it.”

(RB) “Because of the broadcasting thing? Got it. Good luck boys, don’t push yourselves too hard.”

Roxi left to go prepare her weapons and Baron and Yue Fei took their time to completely scope out any of the points of interest that were to be their place of battle. Then, they set up all of the defenses accordingly. Both of them considered getting Guan Yu and Chen Di to come and help out, but they would not make it in time. Meng Wu was just a few kilometers to their East and he came rushing as fast as he could with 6 of his faction members and his father, Meng Ao. Though Meng Ao was still only to be witnessing and not participating this time around.
