《Warfare's Ultimate Frontier》Chapter 148 Victory over the Island

The battle against the various elders of the Forever Pirates and the mysterious lady raged on for more than a day nonstop. The initial ambush set up by the pirates did more damage than anyone had realized and Vesper’s ships were going down one after another. There were two carriers that were stationed on the island, presumably the same ones that the mysterious lady had been commanding before, and stayed back at the island without sending in any of its aircraft for a disturbingly long time. It turned out that the carriers were undergoing repairs and would not be able to assist for some time yet, the same could be said of the aircraft as both were quite heavily damaged in the first fight.
Everything was falling into place now, the Vesper fleets were now so crippled that they would not be able to make the situation advantageous for them any longer. At the moment, it would only be a matter of time before they fell. The pirate elders thought this was weird as there didn’t seem to be any huge plays that the enemy took. With the prowess of the mysterious lady, she had more than ample time to arrange such a thing back when she originally organized the troops into the fantastic formation.
That didn’t matter now though, all they had to do was to keep pouring on the battlefield and they would have successfully taken out a few of the most important figures within Vesper. They noticed an absurd amount of the enemy elite guards fighting on the front line, possibly all of them, but not even they would be able to reverse the situation now that it was at this point.
----------------------------
On the other side of the battlefield in the Vesper camp.
(M) “Esteemed elders and mysterious lady, I come bearing ill tidings. Our forces will no longer be able to keep pushing them back and it is estimated that they will route our forces in only an hour.” The messenger reported.

(GE) “See this? This is exactly what I said would have happened! Why did you make the decision that you did? Are you perhaps a spy sent here in a guise to help us then betray us when the battle is at its highest point?” The great elder of the Vesper faction asked repeatedly to the mysterious lady.
(ML) “I’ve already grown tired of this tournament. The winner has already been decided by me, this battle is as insignificant as you are.” The mysterious lady answered.
(GE) “Now what do you mean by that?”
(ML) “Someone of your lowly rank need not know, just know that your pitiful Vesper faction will be the winners of this tournament.”
(GE) “I can’t believe that I am stuck here with you. First, you disobey every order Zheng He has given you, then you do this. Why did you stop commanding our forces? That formation that you employed was nothing like I have ever seen, if you had taken control over the rest of the battlefield, we would have become victorious.”
(ML) “While that may be true, I just simply don’t want to. This is but a small tournament after all. Plus, I gave the commander position to you, I thought you would have lasted longer, to be honest, a little disappointing that your skills only run so deep. How did you even manage to get such a high position in the Vesper faction?”
(M) “Another update from the battlefield. The 21st line of defense has been breached, only 12 more and they will reach us.”
(GE) “GET OUT!”
The messenger left quickly as did many of the others within the room.
(GE) “Fine, I may not have the skills that even some of my juniors possess, but that matters not. Where do you come from? And how did you get our leader, Zheng He, to entrust you with his carriers? Even the inner circle will have a hard time getting such permission.”

(ML) “Well, I don’t really feel like answering your questions. However, I will tell you one little secret. Your untalented leader invited me here to deal with those barbaric pirates that you call enemies. With my help, your chances of victory rose to 100%.”
(GE) “HOW? We are about to lose the war for this island, how will you escape from here much less win the entire tournament? You are not making any sense in your speech.”
(ML) “Haha, seeing your face so flustered and red as a baboons butt is hilarious.”
(GE) “What was that?”
(ML) “Nevertheless, there is only one thing you got wrong in your analysis. I don’t plan on escaping, there is no need for me to participate in this war any longer. The war is already won.”
(GE) “Forgive me if I don’t believe you. I’m done talking to you. If you aren’t going to help us out of this mess, then I’ll go down leading my men.”
(ML) “Hoh, such a noble sentiment coming from such a disgusting pig like you is not something I would have expected.”
(GE) “...” The great elder paused just as he left the room then continued out the door without another word. He passed the messenger that was waiting outside as the messenger entered into the room.
(M) “Ma’am, they have broken through the 30th line, they will be upon us in no time at all.”
(ML) “Thank you, you are relieved of your duties.”
(M) “Thank you, miss.” He said as he left the room.
(ML) “Looks like the time has finally come.” She said to herself as she pulled down the settings menu and forfeited out of the tournament.
Only moments later did the Forever Pirates manage to break through all of the defenses set up by the Vesper faction and end the battle for the island. They had managed to gain a few elders as bargaining chips, even the great elder, which was a fantastic find. This could be considered an absolute win in their dictionary.

Legendary Twilight Farmer
This is a story I created for fun after reading some LN (Korean/Japanese). The first few chapters might be a familiar to some, but then again, it will evolve after that in a very different way. I'll be updating it as frequent as I can depending on my time since I have another story to write. Since English is my 6th language that I speak, don't expect perfect grammar from me. I'm still improving as I go along. [Below is the real sypnosis] ***** Once a hero, now a zero. As a soldier, Bryan Walker was both fearless and skilful. However, fate had handed him the cruellest of tests. He suffered Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, PTSD and now a paraplegic without a penny under his name. Trying to escape the fickle and harsh reality, he shut himself in. His only companion and salvation was the online game called Last Illusion XX Online. Starting from scratch, he rose from the bottom rung and became one of its Legendary Demon King. But that too did not last as the game ceased to operate. However, this time, it was not without its reward. Having a new lease of life given to him, what could Bryan Walker do next as he dived into the new world of VRMMORPG called Noble Path Online? The state of the art game was the best ever created, bridging between reality and fantasy world. A reality he once afraid of, and a fantasy that he cherished and love. Eulisses Malinor is a prodigious and somewhat reclusive wizard with an unconventional outlook on life itself. The latter may or may not be related to him shedding the burdens of mortality some time ago. Successfuly, much to his discontent. Ever out to ‘cleanse’ him, or bloody murder him if you'd ask the lich himself. But soon, that will no longer be a problem, as Eulisses has finally gathered every reagent - magical or otherwise he needs. He will tear open and stabilize a miniature Rift, essentially creating his very-own pocket realm in which even Addia’s gaze will no longer be able to reach him. Everything has been carefully planned out in advance, so there is no possibility of failure. You can maybe then imagine his bafflement, when instead of the nothingness of his successfully created pocket realm, Eulisses finds himself in a quite holy looking hall, amidst quite too-baffled looking fellows, in the centre of a gigantic summoning circle - allegedly, he cannot read the runes that make it up - and facing a young and quite fair maiden that stares at him quite wide-eyed.
