Whether hunger for food or the flesh, power, energy or something else entirely, all beings are plagued and blessed by it.
Hunger is what drives us to live...to survive……... whether you want to or not.
Some find it a gift, others a curse. Like how light casts a shadow, hunger is a pain, a discomfort you wish to be rid of, but it is that pain which makes the first bite of your meal so satisfying, blissful.
That, of course, is only if you can satisfy it, your hunger, your urge.
Those who cannot wallow in that despair without respite; tortured by the very urges that wish to prolong life.

My life …….all my lives, have more than most revolved around this urge.
I am cursed by it, plagued by a savageness, my hunger ever-increasing…... but it is also this curse which helped me survive, and live how I choose. Many would give all they have for what I have gained.
I don’t know if I should be grateful?
But these thoughts are redundant, unnecessary.
I am as I am, and this Hunger is me.
