《Overlord in Cultivation》8. Destiny Spring

The crowd went dead silence. The stomp from Su Yan held them in awe.
Gao Hua was strong even among the Awokens, but one of his arms was treaded broken by Su Yan. The horrifying strength of that stomp made their hair stand on end, like it was acted on their hearts.
Su Yan, who was standing on the top of the nine steps, was showered in the light of the setting sun which set off his momentum to astonishment. He was difficult to confront with.
Was he the same loser in their mind?
“How’s it possible? How could he have such strength? Who said he was at the bottom of the Awokens? He is actually the best of the best!”
Jia De was also so awed that he couldn’t utter a sound. His whole body was shaking. Good heavens! What have I done? Why on earth did I expel a student who had the chance to go to the best institutions?
Two other elite teachers laughed uncontrollably. Even though Su Yan could not rank among the top 10 in the College, he had at least 50 horsepower.
If he could make greater efforts during the Examine, it was likely he could be admitted to the best institutions. No matter what, his result had nothing to do with Jia De now.
“Su Yan, how dare you treat your classmate this cruel?”
Hsiang Yang had intended to show Pai Mengying how Su Yan would lose his face in public, but things went contrary to his wishes. The powerful stomp of Su Yan was like a slap in his face. How could he remain quiet?
“Boom!”
Wasps of shiny light were released out like stormy waves sweeping through, and the energy waves it created swayed the several old trees near-by and countless leaves were blown away.
“Look, Hsiang Yang!”
The students and the teachers all gasped in awe. At this moment, Hsiang Yang looked invisible and his flesh body glistened with shiny light. This was a demonstration of substantial energy. When the suffocating pressure pressed on them, they felt like they had been paralyzed.
“Strength shows up. Hsiang Yang broke through the Waking Realm!”
“That’s horrifying! Hsiang Yang is so powerful! No wonder he is a celebrity in the College!”
The teachers were intimidated. Such talent with such gift would no doubt leave his name in the history of the College. What was more, he would have great chance to get into Huashia College.
The next moment, Hsiang Yang imposed his strength toward Su Yan as if 100 horses were galloping. Su Yan’s glory disappeared immediately.
“100 horsepower, maybe even more. It seems we don’t have detailed records of the limits of the Awokens. In addition to strength showing up, he has created a new energy source in his body. He must have the power to fight against the beast lords!”
Su Yan opened his eyes wide in terror. He had a clear feeling of how powerful the strength was. If Hsiang Yang wished, he would be dead!
“Stop! What are you doing?”
As Hsiang Yang was approaching Su Yan, wasps of comparable energy erupted all of a sudden!
It was from Pai Mengying. Radiance sprang up from her fabulous body and resisted the energy from Hsiang Yang. She stood in front of Su Yan and her pretty face turned ice cold.

Another one! Two students in one year!
Pai Mengying broke through the Waking Realm as well.
“It looks like the Natural Essence gets richer.”
The old man in the Weapon Chamber watched this, murmuring. “The Awokens are getting more and more powerful and a lot of them will rise from the Examine. It’s a pity these kids are too eager. The Waking Realm has unrestrained potential. They should take time to refine their flesh body now, or their future accomplishments will be limited.”
Zu Yan had set a record of 1000 horsepower in the Awaking Realm, and no one had been able to exceed him.
“Mengying!”
Hsiang Yang roared with rage. “You were there too. Su Yan did not only injure a classmate badly during the competition but also insulted our teacher. He should be punished or he will make huge trouble in the future.”
“Make huge trouble?” Su Yan asked in a contemptuous tone of voice. “You mean you are doing this for my good?”
“Su Yan, please correct your attitude!” Hsiang Yang snapped. “Don’t assume you have enough strength to bully classmates now.”
“What an accusation.” Su Yan replied in cold voice. “Everyone here know he…what’s his name? I really don’t know. He challenged me first, and he struck me first. How does it become I bullying him now?”
His reply nearly made Gao Hua who had been in great pain spill a mouthful of blood.
“No matter what, you should not hit him so hard!” Hsiang Yang pointed at Su Yan, aflame with indignation. “And you humiliated our teacher. What do you think of this place? How vicious you are!”
Some of the students were agitated by those words and they agreed that Su Yan was strong but vicious!
“Annoying!”
Su Yan shouted in anger. “What do you think you are by coming to accuse me and help him hypocritically? How could you have the nerve to say these words?”
“You!”
Hsiang Yang’s eyes nearly ruptured with rage. He was so arrogant that he could not stand the contempt. “Come and fight with me. I dare you.”
“You really are thick-skinned. I think you are extremely shameless.” Su Yan was about to explode. He didn’t even know this guy.
“Hsiang Yang, that’s enough.” Pai’s face blushed. “Injury during martial arts competition is normal. If you want to challenge Su Yan with your extraordinary strength, I think you are the bully now, then I’ll have to fight with you for him.”
What just happened? Wasn’t Hsiang Yang pursuing Pai now? But why did she offer her help Su Yan? The complicated relationship stirred up gossip among the students.
Pai was a kind girl, so she would never allow herself to stand by!
Gratitude filled Su Yan’s eyes. If Pai had not stepped forward in time, he would have suffered a lot. He had offended Tao Tao Tainhua and Hsiang Yang had reached the level of strength emerging, therefore he would get little protection from the College let alone any help.
“You!”
Hsiang Yang got an itch to skin Su Yan alive!
The girl he had been liked kept defending and fighting for a loser, making him wanted to kill Su Yan more than once. What on earth was the loser qualified to compete with him? What did he have?

“What does it look like being so clamorous? All of you step down!”
Just then, a cold voice was heard from the Weapon Chamber and the three elite teachers turned their faces pale. The old man seconded only to the Dean in the College, even the Vice Dean was reverent and respectful in front of him.
“Fuck!”
No matter how furious he was, Hsiang Yang dared not to play tough now. He stared at Su Yan and warned, “We’ll see, see what good results you will get from the Examine!”
“Mind your own business please.” Su Yan snorted.
Gao Hua was still shaking. He was too weak to stand up, so a group of students took him directly to the health center.
Jia De was boiled with anger but had no way to let it out. Not only did the thing Tao Tainhua asked him to do was messed up, but also Su Yan emerged as a strong student among the Awokens. He was so depressed that he nearly spilled blood.
Tao Tainhua had been tapping the development here. Now his face darkened. He was certain that Su Yan had absorbed the energy of the Original Essential Stone!
“Damn you!”
His handsome face twisted. “Su Yan, I remember you. You have at most 60 horsepower now, meaning the Stone has pretty much energy left. I shall not allow you to waste it any longer!”
He did not expect Su Yan would have used the Stone, which greatly irritated him.
When the crowd thinned, Su Yan said to Pai Mengying, “Thank you so much. If you did not intervene in time, I would have lost face.”
“Lose face?”
Pai was delighted to hear this and smile lit up his charming face. “Su Yan, you are a man of a conscience. Thank God you don’t forget me. Well, do you recover your memory?”
“Yes, it’s back.”
Su Yan muttered to himself. It seemed he used to have a good relationship with Pai, or there was no way she would know about his amnesia.
“Then there’s still hope.” Pai continued. “Though you have wasted more than 2 years, you have the chance to join the best institutions if you try harder. And if you have astonishing gift, Huashia College is also an option!”
“So your goal is to get into Huashia?” Su Yan asked.
Pai nodded her head earnestly and then spoke awkwardly, “We had agreed to go to Huashia College then. I did not blame you. You have been acting crazy these years. I am really happy for you that you find you lost memory. Promise me. Let me help you when you are strong enough to get into Huashia!”
“Oh, it looks like you are a powerful able woman.” Su Yan laughed.
“Nonsense. I am not.” Pai stamped her feet. Hidden bitterness welled up in her heart for she had been defeated by him for successively 8 times. She had been in a well-known family among Huashia Alliance which her grandfather had been helped to build from the beginning. No wonder she offered to help him.
“Let me tell you. Huashia is the best college with the most resources. No other colleges can compete with it. My grandfather told me that Earth began to change in a faster speed and soon ‘Dao’ would come into existence. Once that day comes, Huashia College will soar up into the sky!”
She looked forward to it though she could not understand all of it. She knew what the best institution was and she hoped these words could have some motivating effect on Su Yan so that he could aim for Huashia College and work harder.
“The cultivating environment on Earth will change again.”
The shocking news made Su Yan want to do something at once. Young martialists had not been able to improve their strength rapidly due to some limitations on Earth. Now he felt he still had the chance to catch up with the older generation.
His ambition grew bigger and bigger now that he had the Dragon Token!
If he wanted to confront with Zu Yan and find his lost memory, he had to become stronger. If he wanted to look for his sister and parents with the help of Huashia College, he must show the world he had strong enough gift.
“Su Yan, the confict between you and Tao Tainhua……”
Pai couldn’t help but ask, “I don’t know what exactly it is, but my family has the ear of Tao. If you need, let me know……”
She did not finish, afraid she would hurt his pride.
Su Yan gave her a knowing smile. “Little girl, I know what you want to say. But I don’t want to trouble you for this, because apologizing will not make it go away.”
That was the truth. Tao Tainhua had great power and Zu Yan was quite fond of him. He would definitely act against Su Yan after this.
He was the famous chosen one. An apology and a favor from Pai’s were not enough to cool his anger.
Right now, he was thinking about the Original Essential Stone.
He looked at Jia De’s long face, scolding in anger, “Don’t panic. He is just a small Awoken. What I promised you will not alter. Even if he got admitted by another college, I can still make his life difficult. Be my opponent? He’s not qualified yet. You must watch him close for me. I don’t think he’ll spend his whole life hiding in school!”
He had an intention to kill Su Yan, a very strong intention!
If he could not kill such a little ant, how was he able to convince his followers?
It was beyond the ownership of the Original Essential Stone but his pride at stake. As a well-known super star and an idol of million girls, his reputation must remain intact!

One day he suddenly died in an ancient ruin and when he thought it was all over he was given a second chance. He reincarnated, not as a human but as a dungeon! Join our MC as he is thrown into a world of magic and fantasy! P.S. This is not an OP MC story, the MC will be starting from the beginning. While he has the benefit of his previous knowledge there are large drawbacks as well. I want to clarify this as my description can lead to the assumption of an OP MC. Please vote on Web Fiction Guide (online novels, reviews) Novels Online Cover created by: Catastrophic_Finale http://royalroadl.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=72311 Hello everyone, this is going to be my first book and I’m very excited to write it. I had many ideas I want to write about for a long time but never wrote the out. I started reading JPN LN then got into all the Chinese LN so was influence by both types. I already read a few ln about being a dungeon/dungeon master and really enjoy and one day suddenly had an idea. What if a cultivator was to become a dungeon? A lot of these dungeon ln all have someone with modern world experience become the dungeon so they all have this advantage of games but what if someone who is straight out of a xianxia novel instead? Someone who has no idea how a more medieval fantasy world works and have no idea what a dungeon even is. This give me a lot of fun things to write about and finally decide to try writing it share it with you all! I hope you all enjoy it and please leave comments/review telling me how I can improve.

The Solstice Wars
In the grey-cloaked cityscape of modern London, student William Whiteswift has two secrets: the Fae walk among humanity, and they are just as vulnerable as us. His childhood was filled with them; they spawned nightmares and episodes, dreams and obsessions. The nightmares remain, of course, but the fae are his normal. Now, he heals them, for William is gifted. When he saves a faerie -- a humanoid fae -- from an injury he can’t explain, William is forced to let her stay. Finally, he may have taken on more than he can handle; Ainsel could uproot his life in seconds. Instead, she cracks a Pandora’s box of mysteries: someone just flipped her home on its head. And because of that, she did something unspeakable. And somehow, she doesn’t want to hurt him. The longer she stays, though, the crueler his nightmares grow. Worse, governments hide secrets, too: they know of faeries. To them, all fae are monsters fueled by solstices and equinoxes. As the autumn equinox approaches, the culling agency COURT hurries to track Ainsel down. With teams across the United Kingdom and Ireland -- iron-strong despite the region’s history -- they are nearing success. A world away, their country wounded, the faerie leaders hunger for justice. In the looming shadows of war and of Ainsel’s mistake, can a human and a faerie protect each other against their own kind? Could their plight mend rifts between bitter nations and bitterer people? Or will it, like past attempts at peace, shatter? Quick note! I hope you all enjoy the Irish (Irish Gaelic) words here and there! All are defined or explained within the text. This is my chance to show off speaking it at least somewhat decently. Still learning. ;D -K

Not So Bold
A store clerk wakes up one day in a body not his own. Then wakes up back in his bed, it was just a dream. Right? He soon finds himself living a duel life, bouncing between his mundane life as a shelf stuffer and a strange new one. One where he has floppy ears and itty bitty paws. Notice of Hiatus: At the moment I'm going though a bit of turbulence and won't be able to update for a while. I'm also unsure about weekly/monthly releases. I'm considering writing a large group of chapters then posting them all at once or otherwise setting up releases in a way that makes sense. I'm still figuring out how to go about this particular endevor and thank you for your patience.

The Many Blades of Wuxia
Hundreds of years after the Heretic wars ended, life has returned to its blissful ignorant state that only peace could bring. Whilst the never-ending war between Man, Beast and Mutant rages on, most are not even aware of a war that happened between men. Its prophecies shattered, their remnants surviving only in obscure bard tales. One is about to grow. On the cracked face of the world, Essence storms and Beast Waves keep the citizenry locked atop the Emperor city of Qaelang. Knowledge of the past is as rare as the metals that flow into the hands of Sacred Artists and at the root of it all are whispers of a malignant force, ancient and terrible. Holding humanity back from achieving greatness, but hiding too are secrets best left untouched. Balance, discipline and order have held Qaelang secure since time immemorial, the powers within claiming to adhere to them. None are more fearful of change than the ones with the most to lose, but change is coming. Blade of Wuxia is a long character-focused epic fantasy with progression and growth. It's about a boy's quest to become powerful enough to save those he cares most for and give them a better life. It's set in a world of hidden pasts and uncovering them will set him on a path that shakes the Empire. As this is a rewrite that took on a wildly different spin, reviews are most welcome and help me do better. What can the reader expect? A Wuxia society set in a High fantasy world. People are only doing what they know and may have mistaken beliefs. A clever resourceful protagonist with human flaws A far-reaching hidden fantasy world, rich in history. Multiple points of view are used to follow the story to its natural conclusions, not every NPC has all the answers, but there is one MC in this book. Progression will take time and sometimes even unknowingly. MC is not trained in the ways and knowledge must be tempered against experimentation. Release Schedule. 2 chapters a week, family and work permitting. Only if I'm happy with the chapter will I release it. That being said I am open to revision should an articulated critical response show merit. This story is not completed yet but I do have a general idea of what the end looks like for both MC's (yes both) Ultimately feedback will be most influential on the progression of release as it's you guys I'm looking to entertain. Expected Changes None really, I'm writing as I go and have a path planned for 6 books Chapter release rate might change if we take off and feedback starts flowing, but for now, it is just about making sure Arcs flow smoothly onto the next. Cover, yes absolutely! If there is enough interest I will open a Patreon account and use the first proceeds to commission an EPIC cover and hopefully a few scary artworks of our brave Cultivators and the foes they face.
