Act 2

In a place, where even the sun dared not shine a decaying yet elaborate stone hallway inscribed with various ancient dialects revealed itself. Within this unhallowed place, echoing footsteps could be heard, vegetation grew retaking the collapsing building from the cracks hanging in all directions. Lanky gray pillars, on either side some fallen decayed yet the ancient ruins brilliance still shone through even the wear and tear of time. From above eerie crystals resided glowing a deep vermilion, lighting up the hallway albeit barely shadows leaked from nearly every corner, a dark figure was the source of this sound slowly walking this tomb one of many within his reign. Stepping into the light, this mysterious figure enveloped in shadows showed itself, it was Ceron. Suddenly stopping the air turned cold peering into the abyss from the obscurity a presence dwelled, on alert noticing this his eyes flared up glowing a bluish hue.

"It's been a while" Ceron called out to the void, focused concentrating on the shadows, on guard as if the abyss was going to lunge at him. Rapidly, emanating from the dark depths a foreboding crackling emerged akin to a chuckle. Soon black fog withdrew itself, originating from inside the decaying walls, appearing to be sentient assembling a lone figure, forming at its crux manifesting this translucent figure revealed a man. Dressed in orichalcum clad plating, it's amber shine slightly illuminated the surroundings. Additionally, he had a slender physique and short ebony hair. "That's no way to greet me brother." The man said mockingly while completing his materialization.

"What are you doing here Sarieth, I doubt it's just for a chat? If I knew you were coming I would've laid out the welcome mat." Ceron said coyishly as if slightly amused, then revealing a serious expression. "Thought you'd never come back from what you said last time." Ceron continued awaiting a response, keeping his distance spotting a peculiar item at Sarieth's hip.

"Oh.. noticed already? you've got a keen eye brother." A strange glow radiated from the object, In the shape of a hilt. Looking to be made out of rusted metal, it also had strange runes engraved giving off a feeling of mystery. Sarieth took the hilt within his hands, leaning on one of the pillars "It's a gift." Sarieth replied while tossing it over to Ceron, moving with an agility beyond the realm of what normal people could perceive he caught his gift. Inspecting this oddity "Hmm... These runes they look akin to something I've seen before Sarieth. You really think a sealing spell inscribed on this shabby hilt would do me in?" Ceron laughed. ..."No, I didn't!" Sarieth yelled while chanting, summoning a seal trying to move Ceron's movements wavered edged in place, unable to move.

Soon golden runes were revealed, displaying themselves on the walls reaching out extending towards Ceron's body restraining him within its radiance. Lighting up the entire surroundings, shining bright its intensity almost blinding, holding Ceron in its grasp Ceron's face turned bleak. Seemingly restrained by these golden runes drawn on the wall, Sarieth edged closer "You haven't changed at all Ceron still a monster. Just like the last time we met, destined to become like father, what do you think sister would think if she saw how you are now?"

The atmosphere was heavy, bearing down on Sarieth as he walked forward as if weights tied him down. An ominous aura radiated from Ceron, were any normal man would perish under its potency. Luckily for him, Sarieth wasn't any ordinary man, his monk defensive abilities formed a thin white translucent layer of protection negating the effects. Only a small faction managed to leak in, barely affecting him at all this layer of protection partially lit up the surrounding rubble, decaying walls.

Preaching Sarieth walked towards Ceron's now immobile body as if was just a statue, becoming within arms distance he stood glaring at Ceron. "Tsk. To even think you Sarieth siding with those rats, spouting pretentious nonsense hiding behind that facade deep down, you are a monster too." Leaning his neck closer Ceron continued "The difference between us is that I'm not afraid to admit it."Not paying Ceron any heed Sarieth extended his arm, reaching towards the hilt in Ceron's hand. Still, Ceron was immobile stuck within the runes placed prior to the engagement, only able to watch this scene in contempt.

With the hilt in his hands, Sarieth looked solemn. "With this, I'll finally... be able to end this campaign of death will stop once and for all." A slight smile surfaced on his face, before quickly retreating becoming a stoic expression again. "I'm sorry it has be this way brother." Sarieth continued staring at Ceron. "..." Bringing the hilt close Sarieth's body began to shine with more ferocity, the intensity germinated throughout the Seal. Steadfast channeling energy white wisps began to swirl, encircling the seal giving off a feeling of holiness…

Not long after, the energy manifested to its peak shining brighter than before "SEAL!" Sarieth shouted while chanting the hilt began to tremble as if awakening an ancient force within. Soon the runes came to life, vibrating violently and gleaming, blazing with severity faint crackling resonated throughout. Immediately the hilt started to split, unveiling a golden shimmer, rays of light burst out from its core an imposing blade took shape erecting itself with an unwavering determination. Looking upon the blade, Sarieth amassed his resolve in sealing his brother.

"AAHHHHH!!!" Sarieth frantically screamed jabbing the sword through his brothers chest, this accumulation of energy just as keen as any master crafted blade slicing right through his magical armor as if it were butter. The surroundings stood still, he had done it... Or so he thought as the sword pierced his chest, nothing happened it didn't work. Surprised Sarieth stood wide-eyed staring at Ceron in disbelief, watching his body disintegrate crumbling in the wind soon only a fine powder was left. "A Clone!?" Sarieth thought rolling, backward, concentrating on the surroundings hoping to find where Ceron had fled.

"How much of a fool do you think I am dear brother? I'm no novice noticing those binding runes on the wall is mere child's play you underestimated me Sarieth..." The room dead silent, suddenly Ceron lept forth from the darkness charging forward arms raised holding a rapier intending for a downwards strike. Noticing this Sarieth Swiftly turned curving his blade blocking the fatal blow at gale wind speeds, its force alone caused the ground to tremble. Sarieth was pushed back a few meters, the ground torn gusts of smoke sprung up clouding his vision. Trying to regain his composure, with already throbbing hands a testament to the potency of Ceron's attack they were no joke.

Giving no leeway Ceron continued rushing towards Sarieth whilst at the same time Sarieth hastily began an incantation, his fist started to glow radiating with a golden luster. "Dragon Lighting!" Sarieth shouted releasing his magical attack, soon lighting began to bulge at his fingertips than immediately formed steaks dashing to Ceron. Roaring clashing with Creon's palm its brilliance displayed showing how strong that attack was the surroundings were vaporized. As the blinding light passed Cerion stood its effect hardly dealing any damage even the seventh tier spell was swatted away. Ceron with a devilish grin came in close, Lunging below Sarieth brought his hilt up intending to block the incoming strike.

Yet just before the moment of contact, Ceron's body disappeared vanishing from view casting a silent teleportation spell. Instantly coming from behind thrusting the rapier downwards, bore straight into Sarieths shoulder. Crushing the bone, bitter agony engulfed his shoulder blood came gushing out, pinned down on the cold flooring. Leaning in Ceron gave more weight intensifying the pain Sarieth felt before Ceron pulled the rapier out.

"How does it feel being beaten by me yet again, useless trash destined to fall just like those pitiful paladins outside?" Ceron eagerly spoke while still restraining Sarieth with the tip of his blade.

Sarieth’s blood leaked from his shoulder, spilling out from his wound filling cracks within the stone flooring. "Bastard... Why did you kill all those people for such selfish gain reaping all those souls like it was nothing." Sarieth spoke while gritting his teeth shoulder turning cold. Getting up, Ceron released Sarieth walking away before quickly turning around looking him in the eye."Everyone in this world is only in it for themselves, brother only absolute strength is true that's the only way to purge the world ruling it with an iron grip. If left to their own devices the world would be in even greater chaos." Ceron said while wiping his blade, that was covered in Sarieth's blood.

"You're insane" Shocked Sarieth replied, now standing leaning on his energy blade about to fall over... "That blade is quite something, I was only stabbed once and I'm about to collapse must be coated in poison," Sarieth thought as he felt dizzy wavering in place. With trembling hands Sarieth raised his weapon readying himself, intending to finish the fight. To save the world. Noticing Sarieth's pitiful stance "You're joking right? you truly think you can defeat me in that condition." Ceron mockingly said, while covering his mouth smiling.

"You'll die here today if not careful brother," Continuing Ceron's appearance turned serious, his eyes like daggers piercing into Sarieth's heart. Sarieth remained motionless "What's the matter cat got your tongue?" Straightaway he ran directly towards Sarieth, gusts of dirt flew in the air only producing but a moments after image. Instantly appearing before Sarieth having no time to block using his forearm to protect himself Ceron's blade cut deep, splitting the bone. Hardly able to deal with the pain Sarieth grabbed the blade, snapping it in half "I never thought I was..." Warily Sarieth smirked, Pulling Ceron's arm closer grabbing catching him by surprise, "SEAL!" Sarieth yelled, instantly light shone from his chest. Trying to escape Ceron's movements were stopped by the seal, the hilt attached catching Ceron's legs planting him in place.

Thick golden lights strapped around his entire body, Sarieth glowed with an intensity that blanketed the entire tomb. A myriad of incantations was released forming defensive layers around Ceron, all the while his attacks did nothing only fueling the seals' Energy. It pulsed growing more powerful with each attack Ceron threw "HOW?! YOU NEVER ACTIVATED ANYTHING!" Exclaimed Ceron now staring down his unmistakable doom... His vision blurred consciousness slipping "Don't you remember I activated it at the start... It takes a while to build up" Sarieth laughed, choking on blood as it ran down his mouth "Within my grasp, there's no way you'll escape my defensive spells are. Impeccable."

Frantic Ceron released a multitude of powerful spells, however, the outside wasn't affected nor did it damage the seal only fueling the fire, it grew much greater. Shortly it manifested, even more, the golden rays fully enveloped Ceron trapping him under its luster, now fully dulling his senses Ceron began to lose his mind falling into the void.

Immediately Ceron's power was absorbed, a flash of light coated the area once dissipated only the hilt was present his soul sealed within. The runes twisted, circling the hilt tightening as if restraining him.

The seal fully now resembling, a sword with its blade dyed black the sealing runes soon faded retracted within... Ceron's now hollow body began to disintegrate leaving only dust like he had never existed. Soon Sarieth fell, his body turned cold looking at the ceiling his mind beginning to waver for the sealing spell costs one life. "This isn't how I pictured I would die, if only I coul-" The light's in Sarieths eyes went dark uttering his last words of sorrow making that place his tomb.
