Town of Elia

Standing in the Hall of Raging Dragon was…interesting.

Surrounded by the guild members of Raging Dragon, Radais, Larxene, Xion, and Zeinnairth looked about as comfortable as four hawks being brought into an eagle army's nest. Radais and Zeinnairth didn't have a care in the world while their female counterparts were talking to the female members of the guild.

"So this the Elia... My first human village."

Unlike his parents' territory, Elia was fairly urban. It was lively, with busy streets and plenty of shops—quite different from the books and manga books. Looking at the window, Radias observed magic lamps lighted up the townscape, and several airships soared through the skies. Numerous sections were neo-futuristic, but this town had a medieval feel to it.

The apparent first thing: They weren't welcome.

Aside from a pink, blonde, and ashen-haired female, the members were flashing them angry looks.

A violet female watched them and murmured, "Who are you four..."

"Minion Vandal, I order you to introduce us," the chaos half-dragon ordered, Natsumi, Lucy, and June briefly blinking at hearing him speak in common with a weird accent.

The former dragon slaver, now dragon noir Bulter briefly cleared his throat. "Hello. My name is Vandel C. Savage-Dornez, ex-dragon slaver and butler to the Dragonoid Kingdom. I answer the door, I clean up the estate, and I take out the trash..., and I'm also here to educate self-entitled little twats like yourselves," the guild members jaws dropped at the insult, "I present you Prince Radias Dragonoid, The Monster, Ruler of Everyone and Everything. He who stands before the races and has no better... except for his parents. He is also the one who stands at the pinnacle of all races. But you may call him Knightsbane."

Radais approved of such a manner. The half-dragon motions Vandel to continue. "I also present his royal bodyguards, a special job title that gives %15 stats on their regular, Larxene the Draco Corsair, Xion the Shamen Crusader, and Zeinnairth the Berserker."

"Vandal, who is that female manling at the counter?" Xion politely asked the butler. "She is the only not eying.

"She's the chief of staff and receptionist of this guildhall, Lady Xion," Xion explained. "Miss Shiva, please tell the four spoil rich teens on what you do."

The woman glanced up at the teens and at Vandal. She shrugged adopted the same professional smile she used with every would-be adventurer. "I manage the paperwork and requests on behalf of the Raging Dragon Adventurer Guild. I receive requests from clients and distribute them, and the rewards to adventurers and mercenaries willing to take them on. You may also sell materials of monster you encounter."

"mmm," Radais got up from his seat and walked over to Shiva. He remembers from the books that you can acquire gold from selling. So maybe the things from in storage will be valuable.

"I offer up this monster's fangs, but I don't know its name. It was weak, though."

"…You don't know the name of the monster you killed? I can understand if you were a beginner. Still, you should learn all you can about your enemy before you fight it." She said, regarding his whole being.

"It was weak, and I killed it." Radais boldly stated. The half-dragon will admit the big-chested female manling had a point. Fighting an enemy you know nothing about is suicidal. The demon stronghold proved that many times. Or mother's hunting methods and dissembling the body.

"They are just beginners, Miss… who haven't even registered for the guild yet. Wait, can they even sell if they're not even a member?" Vandal questioned. He joined a criminal guild, so he is not quite informed on legal manners.

"They can. However, different monsters have different marketable parts, so there's no guarantee that they can sell the fang."

…It would be quicker if Radais just showed her. The youngling was sure someone who works at purchasing would at least know the name of the monster just by seeing the raw material.

"I want to sell these fangs," Radais said as he took them out of his magic storage. Radais waited for the female manling for the result, but she rubbed his eyes, hit her own head and did some doubtful gestures while muttering weirdly.

Lesser Demon Wolf's fangs! she exclaimed.

The guild members soon shot their disapprovals of this feat.

"Yeah, right, like that spoiled brat actually did that."

"Lies!!"

"Stupid rich trying take all the credit!"

"I bet they must have paid someone to kill them."

Radais remembers that fight quite well. If his memory was right-which is always that thing managed to take his arms and Zein's legs... Xion was not a happy dragon-human after that fight.

"Come on, now. You shouldn't lie. Where did you buy this fang? There are some who buy materials from outside then bring them here, but selling them without an official request won't count as an achievement and will not go on your record."

"Miss Shiva, I would like kindly not question my lords' achievements." Vandal informed Shiva. "His parents may be of royalty, but they expect their children and his royal guards to be of strong stature.

She thought I bought the fangs so I could farm achievements. I doubt killing a monster that weak counts as one, though… Maybe the Wolf I fought just happened to be a weaker one. Radais thought.

"Listen, you big sow. We killed it. End of story! It was a B, right? That can't be right." Zeinnairth said.

"It's true. It says so in the guild's bestiary. But I doubt that four teenagers can take down a high B-Rank monster.

"I guess the one we killed a month ago just happened to be weaker," Larxene said while drinking something that's quite tasty. "This beverage is good."

"They're the same species, so there shouldn't be that much difference in strength. Besides, you said you killed it "a month ago", but those fangs are too clean."

"Do you manlings not the spell [Clease]?" Radais said. "But who cares on what you think. So anyway, how much for the fangs? I can sell it, right? I asked, Radais presenting them to the receptionist.

"It will not go on your record, but we can buy them from you. 200,000 gold is the standard price, though given how neatly they were handled, I can give you 340,000. How does that sound?

"Vandal is good?"

"That's a lot—your Lord Knightbane. With just 34,000 gold, you can live for a week if you're frugal. The goddess Waukeen set up a currency system she had set up. Coinage- metal pieces often found by adventurers as treasure and used to purchase goods and services. The standard currency most is the gold piece (abbreviated GP). However, platinum, silver, copper, and coinage of other materials are also found as treasures and used as well. But in most cases, copper, silver, gold, platinum are most used." Vandal finished his lecture.

"Excellent work..." Radais praised his servant, who bowed. Then, the chaos royal turned his attention the Shiva once more. "As my royal guard said, it was a B rank monster."

"Well, you're not wrong", Shiva admitted.

"Well, of course, I'm not! Being wrong is something that lesser beings than me are known to do from time to time."

Rolling her eyes, the guild receptionist continued her service.

"It will not go on your record, but we can buy them from you. 34,000 is the standard, though given how neatly they were handled, I can offer 40,000. How does that sound."

Radais and his party looked at Vandal if his price was acceptable or not. The butler nodded his head in approval. "These four will also register for the guild as well... As an all-purpose party. They are a quest for 99 pieces of rare gemstones known as the Dragon's eyes and will be hunting down. So please register them as Novices as of now."

Shiva expression darkened. She thought about it for a moment.

"...Very well. No refunds if you fail. Is that all right?"

The party of half-dragons laughed at the guild receptionist.

"Were you not paying attention, human? My words were spoken out loud and could be clearly heard. I don't fail... I win... unless it's my parent's tests, then I run."

Xion, Zeinnairth, and Larxene all nodded as well.

"What's your job class then?" Shiva asked Radais. Who was no longer there. "Where did he you go?"

"Ah, I look irresistible."

Everyone whipped their heads towards who was standing in front of the mirror. The chaos half-dragon can't help but admire himself, so handsome it's sinful. Radais now know how Narcissus must have felt. His fantastic short dark hair. His beautiful yet manly face, glowing red dragon eyes with black sclera. Truly a work of art, if Radais does say so himself.

"My prince is Royal Soul Reaper" Vandal sighed at the prince's actions. "Please don't reject our application to the guild, miss."

"There are guilds that reject an exam application, but we don't do that here. Instead, we let applicants take the exam to convince them to take a different career path other than being an adventurer. We believe it is for their own good... also health."

"Let's just get this over with already," Radais said, irritated already with this and picked one of the exams by random.

Win in a mock battle against an examiner is the one he picked.

"Okay. The examiner is at the training area. Would you mind following me? Cassandra is the name of your examiner," she said as she left the counter and opened the door to the guild's training facility.

Look like Radais, and his party are taking the test right away.
