Chapter 11 – the 'Ice Phoenix's Blood' and the 'Crystal Aura spear'

The 20th floor had ice attributed monster so I saved my Aura and broke through with brute strength, I wanted to save it for the fight with the boss monster since the ice attribute would be good for defense against my fire.

The Boss of the floor appeared in the end after I cleared all the icy monsters, he looked like a big white eagle and the air around him was so icy.

He looked quite dangerous as he cried out an ear piercing cry, and ice crystals started to appear as they started shooting towards me, I avoided using 'Shadow steps' after using a skill point to upgrade it to lv 6.

I avoided so that i would exhaust the Griffin's Mana but after half an hour my stamina was getting bad while his Mana seemed endless so I decided to go on the offense.

Using the 'Fire storm' magic seemed useless against the icy air surrounding him, it seemed that the fight would only get longer which means I would lose but an idea came to my mind and I shouted, "Crimson Spear"

My spear was engulfed by True Fire and it shone in Blue light, I tested my idea by stabbing my spear at one of the ice crystals, in a second the crystal evaporated as if it wasn't there to begin with.

As such my idea was right True Fire isn't affected by regular ice it had to be something on bar with a true Fire so with this it should work.

Thinking about the best way to do this I invested two skill points in the 'Crimson Spear' to raise its effect.

Adding the effect of my Fire attacks became amplified by more than 50%, using this effect I started attacking the Griffin's body as the real battle started.

After a whole hour the Griffin fell to his death after using his most powerful skill which caused my hands to freeze, as the announcements ran in my ear.

Dividing them between constitution and endurance, to endure the freezing ice, venom collected all the icy cores and the griffin's core for me to absorb thinking that it would lessen the freezing effect.

It looks like I obtained the bloodline of the 'Ice Phoenix' but it wasn't powerful enough to force another evolution, thinking about it I asked Black.

[As Dragons are the supreme beings in this dimension absorbing some of their bloodline power for the first time would force an evolution but the second time is different, you would have to absorb a Dragon bloodline which is more powerful than the bloodline you absorbed before, as for Phoenix bloodline which is even weaker than Dragons all that it can give you is more abilities or elemental affinity at the most] (Black)

I went to check my reward for clearing the floor with high expectations and a white bluish light shone as a long spear appeared in my hand.

Item description: this spear contains a drop of blood of the Ice Phoenix and it bathed in the true Water of the Ice Phoenix himself.

Seeing that it was just what I needed to raise my abilities by another level by becoming a dual Fire and Ice user, I decided to merge it with my other Aura spear, using the same methods, I engulfed the two spears in Aura and the fusion started.

Item description: this spear is a fused spear which can hold Icy Aura.

Item Effects: resonates with the Ice Phoenix Blood Holders and Aura users, in addition, it has 100% resistance towards Ice while amplifying Icy Damage by 25%

After my new product came out, I grinned in satisfaction as it came just as expected but as I held my dual spears as I pushed my Aura inside them they suddenly shone as I heard another announcement.

I trained for an hour inside the Dungeon before returning to the room where I slept like a stone.

The next day, after having breakfast and cultivating Aura in the morning, I headed out to hand my token for registering in the next expedition.

"The mission's applicants can't be decided now"

"Then, how" (light)

"Two days from now a tournament will be held to decide the top ten once more, only the new top ten will be able to go for the expedition from the junior magician's"

After hearing that I decided to train and raise my skills for the next two days as I prepared to stay for two days inside the dungeon, not that I was afraid from the other magicians in the tournament but it was that I wanted to raise my strength for any unexpected situation during the expedition.

After two days passed I got out of the Dungeon and then out of my room as I headed towards the tournament's location as I arrived just five minutes before the tournament started, then the judge said in a loud voice.

"Those who wish to raise their ranking can issue a challenge to a higher ranker to replace their old ranking"

After that some small battles between the low rankers happened with just some slight changes to the ranking and just then something out of expectation happened.

As he said that I grinned under my mask as I thought, 'looks like he wants another beating'
