Chapter 5 - progressing at a fast pace and the mysterious Evolution

Hurry up venom, we are about to clear the floor, I said to venom while moving my spear to pierce the lizardman Elite in front of me while venom was attacking using his venomous bite to kill another lizard man, the battle continued until the last lizard man fell on the floor devoid from life.

It has already been two weeks since I arrived at the dungeon, after gaining venom as a subordinate my pace in clearing the floors soared up so we didn't lag of too much even though the monsters got more powerful, we have just finished clearing the ninth floor where monsters ranging between lv 15-17 and although I was still level 12 but I still was up to the challenge thanks to the 'Core absorption' ability.

Several skills had also leveled up from using them a lot such as 'Spear mastery (intermediate)' which became lv 6 after several training sessions and hellish battles.

[The agility skill 'Shadow steps' became lv 5, the acceleration of you speed gets to 70% and your reflexes gets faster]

[The innate skill 'Undying will' became lv 3; the boost for stats becomes 25% and the duration of the skill is extended to be 45 minutes for two times per day]

[The spear skill 'Whirlwind spear' became lv 2, the mana consumption for this skill is decreased to 20% of you mana]

As I fought more the skill levels grew so it became as such but what was more important was that I learned a new spear skill.

Skill description: by converting Mana into Aura and infusing it with your spear the power of your attacks increases significantly.]

It became my favourite skill as I could use it more easily with the mana consumption being low as it could use mana from the air surrounding my spear and I also received a new title.

After several level ups and body tempering by cor absorbing my stats became as such,

I decided not to distribute some stats points until it's really needed to keep the core absorption more effective but when I looked at the skill points being accumulated I invested two points in 'Aura spear' to make it more powerful.

I was also now fully equipped, as I received good gear from the floor clear rewards and I also received another 'master's spear', at first I thought that it was useless but as my 'Spear mastery' got higher and more proficient, I started fighting with both spears in my hands as for the other equipments they were also parts from the master set.

Venom had also leveled up considerably and he also gained another skill, it seemed that he would awaken more skills as his level got higher, but this new skill 'Venom spray was too convenient for me as I used it to cover the blade of my spear in poison to weaken my opponents, which proved to be a good strategy until now, I thought so as I looked at Venom's stats.

After a long night of sleep we headed to the Tenth floor, as soon as we transported there we were greeted with lizardman giants heading our way.

Fighting them was quite hard as they had tough scales and were swinging giant metal clubs at us but using my skills with good coordination proved to be effective at fighting them.

I avoided the giant club and shouted, " 'Aura spear' ", I fought more and more of them at once while smearing venom's poison on my spears.

The battle ended after a while and then I sighed as I leaned against the wall to rest but it looked like resting was not a choice, I heard a loud roar that seemed to be fuming with anger

A majestic lizardman that looked like he was a descendant of a dragon came charging at us gilding two large blades.

I was already exhausted so I had to finish this fight quickly, I gritted my teeth as I shouted, " 'Undying will' "

I held my two spears and engaged in a life and death battle with the Draconian lizardman and as I couldn't hold him I put my unallocated stats points accordingly, strength+5, constitution+5, endurance+5 to boost my capability aginast him.

After a battle that seemed like it lasted for ever, I managed to kill the Draconian lizardman but I was in half dead state, I needed to replenish my power to stay alive, my mind was blank and my body moved by its self as I dug the corpse in front of me until I reached its core, the core was colored in shining red but I couldn't waste my time admiring the core, I put it straight into my mouth.

As I received the wave of crouching pain my eyes closed by their own will and I fainted, but I heard a message in my head.
