《Unparalleled Appearance: She is the Last with Divine Power in a Universal War》Bright Feathers City

Somewhere else on this desolate and destroyed planet.
An ancient-looking city could be seen with magnificent buildings that had a very particular architectural style.
What stood out most in this city was a giant white church-shaped building.
Leaving this city that had a large size of three thousand square kilometers.
At the main gate of this city, that was connected on both sides to a massive rampart.
"I really didn't expect that we would return to this city after it was invaded by the first Evil Demigod and his army years ago."
The one who spoke was a woman with a green crystal longbow on her back. Cyan hair tied in a ponytail, with a very pretty face like a fairy.
Surrounding this woman was a crimson-haired woman who seemed to be in her twenties with a red spear on her back.
A little further away from the location of these two women, there was a very handsome ocean-blue-haired man leaning on the wall.
This man had his eyes closed as if he was sleeping. But in reality, he was prepared to draw the two swords on his waist at any moment if any threat appeared.
"Life always guides you step by step to end up standing where it all began..."
The crimson-haired woman answered with a sad voice, although her eyes had an aura of infinite pride.
This woman looked up at the top of the rampart as if looking for someone.
Finally, she looked at the distant figure of a young woman who appeared to be in her late teens with golden-colored hair tied in a back braid that reached her thighs.
Around this young girl with golden hair, everything seemed to have become a sanctuary, since next to her body that had a faint white glow, the ground of the rampart for more than ten meters had a white light as if it was blessed.
"We knew this day was going to come. Now we just have to take the last step."
An ethereal voice came out from the precious mouth of this golden-haired young woman.
Bang!
Dwirni landed on the ground, creating a small crater in the ground because of the impact.
"Are we ready to kill that b*stard?"
Dwirni asked as she looked at a being with tentacles on its back that was floating above the church in the center of the city.
"You're the one that took the longest to finish off those few Abyssals Clones, and now you're here to rush us?"
The crimson-haired woman said with a touch of anger in her red eyes.
"Ettandra..."
The man only said the name of this woman without saying anything else.
Dwirni had long been used to this woman's fierce personality.
Sigh...
The sigh of the young lady who looked like a goddess of how beautiful she was because of her perfect face or curvy body, was heard softly.
"I have already told you many times not to treat Dwirni so badly."
"That time, when he left you half-naked by nearly destroying your elemental leather armor... It was your fault for underestimating him. You know very well you should have worn your battle armor."

"But..."
Ettandra tried to say something but fell silent as she looked into the white eyes: like miniature white dwarfs because of how bright they were, of this golden-haired young woman.
After a moment in which only silence reigned. Ettandra said, "...Lana, really the only option we have is to use the holy purification crystal?"
"It's just too dangerous. The possibility of you losing your life is very high!" Ettandra said with concern.
Dwirni, who heard what Ettandra said, looked at her and said, "We have already searched every corner of the Sacred Origin. This is the only way. We can only believe in Lanaery."
"Shut up! I'm not talking to you, so stay there quietly if you don't want me to burn that stupid orange hair your"
Ettandra yelled at Dwirni like she was really going to attack him if he said anything else.
Lanaery, who was the girl with golden hair, just shook her head without wanting to continue the discussion of these two heroes who, despite having fought together for so many years, were still as hostile to each other as from the beginning.
"Already all the other heroes on the Sacred Origin apart from us have died. This is now a dead world where staying alive doesn't make much sense anymore."
"But we're still here. This is all because we want to kill Azther before we rest with our race."
Lanaery looked with such a beautiful smile that everyone was stunned to see her. Even the young man who had his eyes closed a while ago closed them again for fear of being blinded by such beauty.
"Using a world treasure like the Holy Purifying Crystal with my weak body is extremely dangerous?"
"Well, yes it is, but what does it matter?"
"In the end, we are going to fight an Abyssal who proclaims himself the Evil God of Despair. The chance of us dying in battle is as high as using this world treasure."
Looking divine and inviolable, Lanaery said, "As a Saintess, my duty has always been to purge evil, and I am more than happy to complete this mission to the end of my days."
Sigh...
"You're right. I didn't think it through before I talked."
Ettandra talked with a bit of resignation in her tone. But also with a renewed will to fight.
The other heroes also had similar expressions.
Lanaery looked away from this small group of heroes and looked at the great city in front of her.
Bright Feather City was the capital of the church of light, in which she was a Saintess of this church.
Now all had died, and the church of light had fallen into the hands of the enemy. Her Saintess title was as useless as her past self that she caused many loved ones to die because of her bad choices.
Lanaery still remembered when this city welcomed countless heroes who came and went all the time.
There were private buildings where anyone could enter, paying a little money to learn to control their element with greater skill.

On the other hand, there were close combat classes that taught how to use all kinds of weapons, such as swords, maces, daggers, and many more.
Places where High Heroes taught Novice Heroes and heroes how to create elemental formations to use even greater powers than their hero realm.
Even she, who was known on the Sacred Origin as the most talented Saintess in all of history, still had to attend all these classes.
Unfortunately, now it was impossible to see how groups of heroes came to this splendid city to get weapons and companions to go on adventures to mysterious ruins.
Within these mysterious ruins, there was a chance to have chance encounters and enhance elemental perception.
In the past, this had happened several times. Heroes with little talent who, upon finding a certain treasure, became the strongest in the entire Sacred Origin, reaching the realm Ancient Hero.
Although for many years, no hero who had reached the realm Ancient Hero had appeared.
Lanaery just buried these memories deep in her mind.
Because right now this city was just a pile of ruins with the corpses of heroes everywhere.
The worst part was that the holiest place in the world was now used as a lair by a disgusting Evil Demigod Rank Abyssal Clone.
"If only I had this power when my grandfather was still alive, the situation of the Sacred Origin would not be so tragic."
Lanaery suddenly said surprising everyone.
They didn't say anything to answer Lanaery. Because each of them also wished they had the power they currently had in those years when the situation was still salvageable.
With an icy gaze as she gazed at the Evil Demigod in the center of the city, Lanaery said, "Ernys, it's time you let someone experience what it's like to be locked in a cage with no chance of escape."
Ernys, who was the blue-haired youth, nodded with his vacant eyes as if he was in a more dead-than-alive mood.
He walked with a relaxed demeanor towards the center of the main city gate.
Slash!
His hands suddenly moved like a blur unsheathing his blue-colored dual swords.
Bang!
Rumble!
He unleashed a heavy blow that shook a portion of the rampart, driving his swords into the rampart.
Suddenly, untold amounts of water appeared out of nowhere, covering the entire city, using the ramparts as a base until a barrier of water was created that covered the entire city, either from above or below.
"Finished."
Ernys said in a gloomy and emotionless voice.
Maybe it's because of the effect of having used his water element. Around him appeared small fish with blue scales that circled him looking at him with interest.
The cyan-haired woman approached Ernys and tried to touch one of these fish. But before her hand touched the fish's scales, the fish backed away from her with fear in its eyes.
Leaving her with her hand raised, touching nothing.
"Haha, it's just like you."
The woman laughed and said with contempt.
"The great crown prince of the Temeies empire reduced to an emotionless vegetable, how hilarious."
"Acting as if you were the only one who lost everything when you know very well that each one of us has lost absolutely everything!"
Every word this woman said was filled with anger and disappointment.
"Enough..."
Ernys only replied with a dark voice.
"Enough, you say. Haha."
"Rather enough of your silly problems and silly personality that looks like you're going to su*cide yourself at any moment... Like that time."
Ernys blue eyes trembled at these cruel words.
"Oh? Are you reacting?"
"Are you angry?"
"If you are, then use that damned anger to protect Lanaery when we fight Azther!"
Ernys looked deeply at the cyan-haired woman and said, "...Are you asking me if I'm angry and affected by what you said? Who wouldn't be after such verbal abuse?"
Ernys's lightless eyes gradually regained their vitality.
"Hahaha, who would have thought that my clumsy childhood friend would be the one to wake me up from my depression."
"Okay. Since this might be my last day, I'll go back to being the crown prince that the people of the empire were proud of!"
His element spread over his body like drops that looked like they were celebrating that their host had regained his will to fight!
The surrounding blue fish ate these tiny drops, undergoing a grand transformation that turned them into towering miniature Asian dragons.
Looking at Ernys with gratitude, these little dragons disappeared, forming countless bubbles on their bodies that burst to leave nothing behind.
Ernys looked at the cyan-haired woman fondly and said, "Vaidela, I am so sorry for neglecting you all these years. It was only at the end that I realized how much you cared about me."
Saying this, he shook his head as if disappointed in himself.
Vaidela, with a nervous look, said, "I don't know what you're talking about! Just focus on using every last drop of water in your body."
Dwirni scoffed at Vaidela and said, "So the two of them had that kind of relationship!"
"Shut up!"
Ettandra yelled at Dwirni.
Vaidela also looked at him as if she wanted to pierce his body with countless arrows.
Lanaery all the time just looked with a smile at her friends interacting with each other. She didn't bother them at all, as it might very well be the last time they would speak so casually.
"Kill it fast!"
"Hurry up!"
"It hurts too much!"
Suddenly, she heard countless voices in her ears wailing in pain, urging her to kill the Demigod.
Lanaery looked up at the sky with concern. There she saw many black shadows writhing in pain.
These were all the souls of the Sacred Origin denizens, who were currently being corrupted by the thick dark cloud that covered the sky.
"We can no longer afford to waste any more time."
With Lanaery's voice, they all looked at her solemnly.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.
