《Demon slayer:Family》Chapter 6.Meeting

After a day of when we left the village,
We were walking down the road.
It was dusk at the moment, the sun was setting.
The dusk was simple but it sent a chill down our spine.
The thing which was even more concerning was that there was no village near us,there were only mountains as far as the eyes could see.
This meant that there was no way we could get a shelter tonight.
"The 'god' had previously stated that there can be changes in the story due to my influence, this means that there is a chance of me getting killed by a demon,I remember asking the god to make me lucky, but luck isn't omnipotent,it can only bring you the opportunity,it's a matter of your competence when it comes to grasping that opportunity"
Thinking that I couldn't help but shiver.
"Ah my injuries have from yesterday have all healed, this body of mine really is strong!" I thought.
Currently I was carrying the basket in which Nezuko was sleeping.
"This is place where Giyuu-san told us to got to meet that Urokodaki-san,right,Nii-san?"inquired Tanjiro.
"Yes,this is the place, maybe we should head to the peak of this mountain" I said.
Saying that we started walking as fast as we could,to the point you couldn't call it simply walking fast,we were basically running.
After a few hours of running,we reached the mountain peak.
There were no people there, but there was an old temple, from the looks of it,it seemed as if it hadn't been taken care of recently.
This secenry, during the night, gave off an eeire feeling.
"I can't remember most things that happend in the anime, because it was a long time ago, maybe half a decade."
This caused Harada to be extra cautious.
He went inside the temple with an axe to see if there was anything or anyone inside.
As he went inside,he didn't see any demon or a person inside.
"Ah,I'm having a bad feeling, something is about to happen!" I thought, and quickly got out of the temple.
Suddenly! Tanjiro could smell a familliar stench,
It was the stench of a demon, but this clearly wasn't the demon that slaughtered his entire family.
His sense of smell had always been exceptional.

He felt that someone was behind him,as soon as he turned around he saw a man,a tall man with dark skin...no he wasn't a man,he was a demon,Tanjiro could tell due to the stentch.
The demon pounced at Tanjiro to kill him,but before he could do any lethal attack,Harada threw the axe in his hand.
The axe cut deep into the demon's face.It stopped his movement,at least that's what Tanjiro and Harada had expected.
But this only made that demon more furious as he started slashing around with his claws in a frenzy. But the frenzy only lasted for about 5 seconds. After that, the demon held the axe and threw it away."Even though the demon looks very dangerous,it still has limited intelligence!,but this dosen't change the fact that he only needs to attack us once to kill us!"Harada exclaimed.
As Tanjiro started running, the demon grabbed his leg,and Tanjiro fell on the ground.
"Tanjiro!!" I screamed.
"ah shit, now due to me,Tanjiro will be killed,I really messed up!" Thought Harada.
But as soon as he lost all hope, the heard a sound, sound of a football being kicked with full force,I open my eyes to see what happend and saw something unexpected.
Nezuko had come out of her basket and kicked the demon's head at the crucial moment.Beheading the demon.
As far as I could remember,a demon's head needs to be cut with a nichirin blade or completly destroyed. That demon was beheaded with a kick,so his head should still be intact.
"Where is the axe?!" thinkig that,I started looking for the axe in the direction in which the demon threw it.
I found the axe under a tree,I grabbed it in my rigth hand as soon as I could.By this time,Tanjiro had already gotten up,the demon's body was still lying at the spot where it was before, yet there were no signs of the demons head.
But suddenly,I turn around and see and demon's head behind me,bearing it's fangs towards me as it was preparing to pounce at me.
"Same old tactic?" saying that I use my axe and try to cut the demon's head into two halfs, but the cut was deep enough.

"Now the demon was unable to move" Just as I thought that the demon suddenly grew hands out of the area around his ears and tried to grab me,but it failed,it's hands were too short, only about 50 to 60 cm long.
I took a deep breadth at the thought of the demon grabbing me with it's superhuman strength.
Just as I was talking deep breadths,We heard a voice near us.
There was a person wearing a red mask behind the bushes, now coming out.
"You need to completly destroy that demon's head if you want to kill it,and you can't do that with just an axe" Said the mysterious person.
"I see" I said in a calm voice,Tanjiro was right behind me standing silently and appraising the person near me.
I took a big rock in my right hand, and turned around once, then with all the strength and force I could muster,I use the rock to crush the demon's head.
*Bang*
The imapct was really strong,it shook the tree, completly destroyed the demon's head and even my arm started hurting.
I killed my first demon.
I killed it.
I felt a sense of accomplishment.
I felt that I really not as weak as I thought I was, this body has a lot of potential,it's just that I can't unlock all that power without proper training.
I never used sun-god's breadth becuase I didn't know what kind of side efrects it can have, there was also a chance of it decreasing my lifespan, and I didn't want that.
"Hm,I smelled indiffernce when this boy was killing the demon, there was no hesitation as well, and his body is strong as well,Usually, those whose families were slaughtered by demons bore great hatred towards all other demons which caused them to loose focus, resulting in them dying while trying to kill the demons.
This boy is a natural,he was completly calm when dealing the last blow,he is a natural gem,but he can be polished furthur,as for the other one,I could smell empathy in him while he saw the demon struggling and dying,he must go through harsh training," Thought the red masked person.
This red masked person was none other than the ex water hashira,Sakonoji Urokodaki.
His former student Tomioka Giyuu had sent him a letter telling about these two and requesting that he should consider training them to become demon slayers, that was the reason why he came all the way to this mountain to see these two.
Everyone was silent, but after a few minutes, when the sun started rising up,he thought of Nezuko, she came outside of her basket to protect him, where was she now?
He turned around and saw no one.
"Nezuko,Nezuko where are you?" He started calling out to her,but there was no response.
He thought something and rushed to the temple.
"So you were here" He said in relieve after seeing Nezuko in a corner, sitting inside the temple.
After being sure that Nezuko is away from the sunlight,he returned under the tree.
All three of us,
Me,Tanjiro and Urokodaki-san introduced ourselves.
"I am Kamado Harada,I am 16 years old,and he is my younger brother,he will be 14 years old next month"I said.
"Our sister turned into a demon after a-"
"I know about your sister and what happend to your family" Said Urokodaki-san,interrupting Tanjiro.
"I am willing to teach you to become demon slayers, and you don't have the right to refuse, from this day onwards, you will devote your everything to training,
You must never let your sister eat an innocent human, ever! And if you ever slack off, then I'll never let you touch the sword ever again" Urokodaki-san said in a stern voice.
"Yes,master"We said in unison.
"Now bury the victims of that demon,if you can find any in the temple.
"Yes,master" We again,said in unison.
After that,we followed Urokodaki-san for the rest of the day,it turns out that his house was a few mountains ahead in north.
Tanjiro and Harada ran as fast as they could to keep up with their master.k
They knew that from today, their training had started, and won't end until they are qualified enough to become demon slayers, and until then this won't end.
But they thought "I'll learn and become as strong as i possibly can!"
To be continued...

Fates Parallel is my first serious attempt at writing a story, and a personal love letter to Eastern fantasy and xianxia stories. It's heavily inspired by East Asian culture, folklore, and mythology, with what is likely going to be a decidedly Western artistic license. I try to write every day, with a goal of about 45,000 words per month (~1500 per day). Chapter lengths are around 3000 words on average, releasing on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Cover art drawn by the incredibly talented Tsuu (TsurotArtistry).

Add in a clumsy goddess and a broken planet and that is just where our story begins... Greetings all, thanks for taking the time to read this. This is my first story here on RRL and it's becomming one of the things I look forward to working on each day. As of June 2020, the story description has been updated (now that the characters have told me what was actually going on this author thought it prudent to update this) . Updates will be sporatic as i have time to juggle real life with writing. You the readers have become an integral part of the story helping to decide how things will progress, so enjoy the story and please leave a review or rating so this author can continue to improve the story. New chapters coming soon with edits to existing ones in process As a side note, I wish I could add a science tag to this. While this is still fiction, I have been incorporating real life scientific theories and explanations for how things could be *plausibly* explained. (No, I will not lecture on these points, but they are added to author notes) ~badw0lf
