《I'm a Frog?》Vantage point

The sight itself was tremendously difficult to comprehend, truly a head scratcher.
An actual soul simply floating across the room, was spooky enough on its own.
But when this scene was combined with the kidnapper's attitude, it only became more confusing.
Just what type of confidence did she carry, in order to yell at a soul in such a brute manner? Craze couldn't be enough to pull off such an act, even madness had its limits.
Perhaps this boldness was present due to the sense of familiarity? A moment ago, this lady yelled something about this intrusion not being the first of its kind ~ so that might be the sole excuse?
Regardless of the prime reason that stood behind this boldness, it was not the main thing to focus on right now.
Especially since the same lady decided to inflict another layer of rage towards this intruder.
Her fists clenched enough to reveal a bit of bicep muscle, and then her arms pushed entirely forward, in order to generate what truly proved itself unexpected!
A dark mist swiftly appeared right near her palms. And this embodiment of darkness did not have a shape at first; but it quickly formed into a ball while it travelled through the air.
Its size was not significant, as it only stretched a couple of feet wide; but width wasn't always related to impact.
Simply because, before the naked eye could fully comprehend what happened, a loud screech made itself present in the room.
One would think that the entire house was crashing down, but no. The black mist had simply crashed against the soul, and poked a hole through the same target's abdomen!
For some reason, such an impact had unleashed these violent sounds ~ but the pretty show did not stop there.
A moment after, the mist spread out its thin branches at a rapid pace.
What had started out as a simple ball that was filled with dark light, turned into a sight that featured numerous dark roots and branches, which spreaded all across the ghostly body.

Eventually, these rapidly moving dark branches managed to envelop the entire target!
"What's happening?" Steve questioned as strings of panic struck his noggin.
But it felt as if he was talking to the wall, because the kidnapper refused to utter even a single word.
And rightfully so, because the scene was developing towards what could be labelled as hazardous!
The black ball of illumination, that had been originally shot against the target's belly, was spreading across the entire soul right now!
Those branches of darkness that were originally thin, were becoming thicker just for the sake of covering more of this ghost's body.
As for the abdomen area where the ghost had been struck, that portion was being entirely consumed!
Once the misty-ball inched away from that very spot, nothing remained of the target apart from thin air!
This process continued to expand itself; and within a few seconds, the entire ghost had been consumed by this wretched dark mist!
Most definitely impactful. But the worst part remained to be the screeching sound, it only grew higher pitched and louder in intensity!
Steve felt sure that if this sound continued to grow in power, he would finally become deaf!
But thankfully the odd scene met an end. The soul had completely disappeared, and the situation returned back to normal ~ or at least as normal as it could get.
The kidnapper finally faced the good frogezoid man, and noticed that he had quite a lot of questions to ask.
Therefore, she beat him to it by stating. "I just kicked him out of here with a relocation spell. Souls are invading my house these few days."
Such information helped make sense of that odd scene, but it didn't manage to untangle the mixed emotions that were caused because of it.
And since he was quite irritated by the sound, that almost ripped his ear-drums open; it became difficult for Steve to hold back sass.
Which was why he scolded, "Frogs weren't enough ha? You had to piss off some souls as well. Just what did you do to them?"

"No time to explain," She lightly stuttered.
Then she grabbed a hold of one chain, and swiftly removed it from the kidnapped man's belly.
"I don't know what you're doing but it's making me nervous," He shamelessly pointed out.
Out of the blue, the latter revealed. "You will take me to the flaming crown, that's the only chance you have to survive so don't do anything stupid."
After that point, she was close to removing the second chain that was over the frogezoid's abdomen, and planned to remove the wrist shackles next.
This gave Steve the pocket of time to ask, "Why are you so desperate all of a sudden?"
"Did you hear that screech? That's not any good news." She was quick to answer, but such a statement failed to make any sense.
Steve noticed that his advantages had grown drastically, so he decided to use this leverage in order to score another win.
With quite a bit of confidence, he lightly shouted. "I will not get out of here with a bloody back. Give me a health potion or I won't even make it out of the city."
And after noticing her spot in the debate, the kidnapper had no other choice but to oblige.
It was true that only she understood how severe the sudden situation had become, so of course she carried the most stress.
And unsurprisingly, after a rough sigh, the wretched lady bounced towards a table nearby; and grabbed a bottle that carried mouthfuls of some liquid?
Afterwards she walked back towards the young man, removed one of his wrist shackles and handed the potion over.
While she headed for the other rusty irons, the stunning woman cited. "That potion is enough to keep you alive, but you owe me three-hundred gold coins for it."
"Great, more debt." He mumbled as he gazed at the glass bottle.
It seemed healthy to say at least. The liquid inside included an orange colour, and even smelled like the same fruit.
He also understood that this foul enemy was desperate, so she had no reasons to play any nasty tricks now.
So he began chucking down the contents out of this hand-sized bottle, and noticed a few grand effects.
Within the first second, it felt as if a dagger had been bashed against the wound across his back.
Such a sharp pain forced him to drop the transparent bottle, but thankfully he managed to drink most of the potion before that happened.
Only after the bottle shattered, had the positive effects of this liquid arrived.
He felt a sensation of calmness at first, and then noticed that flesh itself was being merged together across his back.
That bit of the process felt a bit itchy and uncomfortable, but it was likely necessary.
And after a few seconds more, a great portion of his wound was already sealed up.
The scar itself would take more effort to disappear, but at least the pain was mostly gone!
Necessarily, it proved that this potion was strong enough to handle such a vicious cut.
Steve felt fantastic thanks to this success, but the wins did not stop there. The system decided to move in and reveal a few words of her own.
[You have successfully completed the task, of attaining a health potion to tame your wound]
[As a reward, you have received fifty-system-points]
[Thanks to this completion, you get access to the variations of purchase options. But at the moment you don't have enough points to buy most of them, apart from one primary upgrade]
[Would you like to hear out the option?]
"Yes," He agreed with a quick thought.
[Purchase option number-one = Upgrade bodily strength to level-two]
[Price = forty-five system points]
"I'll buy it," He instantly agreed.
The kidnapper had removed most of the shackles at the moment, and he wanted to be prepared before this lady could do anything else. Strength would truly prove as an advantage for such a manner.

Chasing Darkness
Lilith's first time parachuting at night was a disaster. Fictional Gods clashed before her eyes. Caught in the crossfire, Lilith traveled through Space and Time. Her reality was turned into her favorite childhood game, Pokemon. The beginning of journey shrouded in the Dark. A Pursuit of something Greater. *** Author Notes: As a writer, I enjoy the 'How' and 'Why' thing happen in a story over 'What' happens. This will not, however, diminish plot points in the story. Each Arc will be well thought out. This Fanfic explores what it would be like in a reality where Pokemon exist. Most other Fanfics are based on game or anime logic. I will be taking the point of view of a Progression Fantasy. I will try to update every Weekday at Noon Central. P.S. I do this for fun. As I am an amateur writer, I expect complaints and criticism. Anything other than constructive will be ignored. Well thought out Reviews, please. *I Do NOT own Pokemon in any way, shape or form. *I created the Cover in all its pixilated glory.

Fortuna Verto
A girl’s luck changes when her world changes upon itself, sending her back and forth between a world she knows and another that shouldn’t even exist. Working with her parallel self from that other world, the two must adjust to their alternate form when visiting the other’s world, as they search for a way to escape the chains of misfortune they are bound to. While this story is the conclusion of the trilogy, it is also fully capable of standing alone in its own light, as the world of Celese itself is no longer a place the characters will be journeying through. However, the events of the story are a spoiler for all previous books, in case that matters to anyone. This book has an additional chapter after the final chapter that represents the trilogy conclusion, and should not be read until all three books are read first. Fortuna Verto continues the events of Essentia Animus to advance society into a sci-fi interpretation of Celese, bringing events to a distant world of another star. At the same time, events interpret a real-world advancement into a similar sci-fi age of another planet that shares Earth’s galaxy, a planet that has also been linked by the Celesi Veil. English remains predominant in both worlds of the story, but the presence of both sides makes certain Aethyx terms stand out, while Earth-styled scientific terms will also stand in a powerful contrast. Instrumentation remains an important aspect of the Elemental Era, but the influence of the gift has grown distant after discovering the superiority of the elements. Harnessing the elements had eliminated some of the original limitations of instrumentation, allowing for a self-sustaining focal source that provides solutions to problems such as automation. This turns the development available from the previous modern-day sense of a fantasy to one that is deep-future. Finally, opening access to the passage across the veil will open this progress in comparison to a very similar deep-future parallel world without such fantasy elements, contrasting the laws of physics with the laws of elements in a convergence of time and space.
