《Purrge》Chapter #20 Yellow Ranger Pant

South gate, Ciara Citadel City, Eisenhiem Kingdom
Two hours had passed by since Ron had arrived at the gate. He was now feeling very frustrated because everyone present there; on the gate was staring at his yellow pant!
“Sir, Can I ask you something?” a giant guard approached Ron with a question.
“What?” Ron glared angrily at him for a second.
“I wanted to know from where you got this fancy pant of yours, sir… because I want to buy one too…” the giant asked with an inquisitive look.
“Huh!” Ron was taken aback by this question, because never in his life he had a met a guy who liked his fashion sense and wanted to follow it… (The major reason behind his weird sense of fashion, were two brothers who manipulated his mind and gave him the pant which he was currently wearing.)
“Well you can’t buy this pant anywhere in this world, because it is a custom made garment created by the Ulric brothers in ‘Desver’.” Ron replied proudly.
“The Ulric brothers? If I remember they were the elite tailors who created ‘L’attrait sans fin’ for the Elvish Empress Regina, am I correct?” the giant asked with great enthusiasm.
“Yes! You are absolutely correct!” Ron replied with a smile that that showcased his pearly white teeth.
“Wow sir! This means that this cloth; that you are currently wearing has even greater stature than the clothes that our king, King Nobius wears!!!” the giant replied with excitement that was beyond anything else.
“You can bet on that… as all the garments that the Ulric brothers created have been lost after the demon invasion of Nidhogg Kingdom and this is their only surviving legacy.” Ron told him with pride.
“Legacy!!! What the hell are you talking about? If that is so, then my dead grandfather’s boots are an even greater legacy than this weird pant of yours… Hahaha!” Yale who was standing quietly for a few minutes, now buzzed in after he heard the word ‘legacy’ that was spilled out of Ron’s mouth.
“This is nothing but a weird yellow pant; hahaha… you can’t even find a zip in it… and now that I’ve said it at last; can this weird garment be considered as a pant?” Yale laughed out loudly.
“Yeah, they are too weird… they feel like they are too tight and they stick to his body… it feels like as if he isn’t wearing anything… and I can clearly see his cro…” Reve commented but stopped in the middle when he saw the angry expression on Ron’s face.
“And who are Ulric brothers? Seems to me like they were some kind of weirdoes, who had no sense of fashion and modesty at all…” Yale spoke with a goofy smile.

“The Uric brothers were the one of the finest artisans alive… and their creations have been revered as the greatest creations in history… but all of them have gone missing after the demon invasion. I’m quite shocked to find that this pant is an Ulric masterpiece!” the giant spoke.
“Maybe you’re confused! How can you say that this pant is created by Ulric brothers whom you speak so highly?” Reve commented.
“I believe it because Sir Ron told that this garment is made by the Ulric brothers of Desver…” the giant replied with a simple face.
“What? He said it and you believed that…” both Reve and Yale replied in unison with a shocked expression, which could be clearly seen on both of their faces.
“I believe that the talk about giants being simple minded wasn’t true, but now I’m beginning to believe it.” Yale whispered to Reve in a low tone.
“No, that fact is 100% genuine… I know a giantess who works under my subordinate, her name is Elisa… and she is way more simple minded than him… she gets scammed every time and my subordinate has to rescue her.” Reve whispered back to Yale.
“Oh! I didn’t know that…” Yale replied mildly.
“And by the way… you don’t have anything else to do except goofing off, dozing off, slacking off and drinking all the times… so there’s no way you’ll pay attention to others…” Reve replied.
“Coming back to the point, although I’ve heard a little about ‘L’attrait sans fin*’, the magnificent dress of the elvish empress ‘Regina’ of Sylph Empire… but I didn’t herd about its creators ‘the Ulric brothers’ of yours.” Yale commented.
“That’s because the Ulric brothers were humans… and the sylph empire totally discriminated its non-elvish citizens… especially humans.” the giant replied with a sigh.
“Hey, these are 100% genuine Ulric brothers masterpiece; and I know that because when I first got them made, the elder brother told me about something known as a hologram… they told me that each garment that they create has a unique hologram in it, which guarantees that the product a genuine Ulric masterpiece…” Ron replied angrily.
“Oh that’s nice! And could you tell us what is a hologram?” Reve asked Ron.
“A hologram is a king of badge that remains hidden unless light falls on it… and it changes its color and patterns when it is tilted, different angles produce different colors and patterns!” the giant buzzed in.
“Whoa! You know that!!!” Ron complimented the giant guard.
“Yes sir! Before I came here to this city, I worked for a trader in Desver, who had the exclusive rights for initiating trade between the Ulric brothers and the third parties and he told me about it… both of the brothers were ‘locked up’ in the palace of Desver and no one except the royal family, the elite guards and the exclusive trader was allowed to meet them… I being an escort for the trader was not allowed to enter the palace.” The giant replied in a simple tone.

“Getting locked up in a palace sounds rather boring… I feel sorry for them.” Reve commented.
“But they had many perks too… like full control of the city… and they were even allowed to change a century old name of the city of ‘Galewood’ to ‘Desver’!” Ron spoke out proudly once again.
“Oh! So that’s how the weird name such as ‘Desver’ came into existence… I really want to know how and why, such a creative name like that popped up in their heads.” Yale replied.
“They said that before coming to Desver, they earlier lived in the city of Denver… and they wanted to live in a city having a similar name… so that they wouldn’t feel homesick…” Ron replied.
“Then they should have named the city as Denver… why didn’t they do that? And by the way, I don’t think a city named as ‘Denver’ exists here in the Upperworld… ” Reve asked Ron out of curiosity.
“I asked the same question… and their reply was quite shocking… they said that ‘this’ city of theirs, was too ‘shabby’ and it would tarnish the image of their magnificent hometown… that’s why they altered the name from Denver to Desver… and they said that the city of Denver is hidden and I didn’t stand a chance to visit that… and they too were looking for a way to get back there…” Ron replied.
“That sounds fishy…” Reve replied with a skeptic look on his face.
“Well whatever, let’s leave all that talk about a hidden city behind … I would have felt much happier if they would have named the city as ‘Denver’ rather than naming it ‘Desver’…” Yale replied changing the topic casually because he thought it to be another high level bul****t told by Ron.
“But why?” Ron asked with a skeptic look on his face.
“Because it has a nice ring to it; see… ‘Dennn Verrrr’.” Yale replied in a melodious tone.
*SILENCE*
“Seriously dude… sometimes you amaze me!” Reve replied monotonously.
“Hahaha, everything else is fine but, how did you meet them Ron?” Yale smirked as he asked Ron.
“Well, I happened to meet those guys 14 years ago; soon after Desver was destroyed by the demon forces. They were travelling to ‘Nidhogg’ the capital city of the Nidhogg kingdom. They took shelter in our caravan and paid us well… and they also took a fancy in me and gave me these pants…”
“I can’t believe someone took fancy in him!” Reve jested.
“Huh! All the time they were with me they were mesmerized… they told me that I resembled their hero ‘Yellow Ranger Spark’ who had saved countless lives in T.V.” Ron smiled proudly as he replied.
“Ohhh! Is T.V. also a hidden city? I’ve never heard of it before!” Yale counterattacked at Ron with his precise cunning words.
“Apparently, only a select few have a privilege to go there… so I don’t know much about it…” Ron replied while he tried to remember the conversation between him and Ulric brothers.
“So, where’s the hologram?” Reve went straight to the point.
“Look here… “Ron pointed near his left waist; there was a tiny shiny emblem which was red in color. It had a flower pattern on it.
“Now watch this…” Ron yelled in excitement as he turned a little, the red color transitioned into yellow and the flower transitioned into a star.
“Wow!” everyone present there exclaimed in unison.
“Ok… so this is a 100% genuine artifact… but seriously what’s the use of this pant? It’s too gross to look at… I would simply prefer to wear no pants at all rather than wearing this nightmare.” Yale smirked as he spoke.
“They have a morph function…” Ron tried to defend himself by telling them the same thing that the elder Ulric brother told him 14 years ago…
“Oh! Please elaborate this ‘Morph function’ of your pants…” Reve asked Ron monotonously.
“Well, it’s pointless to tell you guys… because it activates only in emergencies… like if someone’s life is in danger…” Ron replied with a nervous smile.
“The demon pursuit team has arrived!” a guard who was stationed at a tower suddenly yelled, causing everyone’s attention to shift towards him.
“Let’s welcome them…” Reve spoke softly as he turned and walked towards the gate.
“Everyone take your respective positions… Open the gate…” Reve yelled as he took his respective position.
*CLANG**CLANG**CLANG**CLANG*
Everyone saluted as the demon pursuit team arrived at the gate… Reve ran off to greet Lord Neils and gave him the notice which cited him to report to the Eisenhiem military academy while the city guards escort them.
“Well there’s no need to escort us … we’ll be on our way, there are still many soldiers who are collecting spoils of war… they’ll be arriving here shortly…please escort them instead of us!” Lord Neils replied with a kind smile.
“As you wish sir, I’ll be escorting others then…” Reve accepted the order with a smile and took his leave.
“Everybody stand guard… there are still some soldiers left.” Reve yelled as he returned back to his post near the gate.
