South gate, Ciara Citadel City, Eisenhiem Kingdom
The commander of the south gate was saluting the military procession which was passing by; when he saw a messenger, who was swiftly heading towards him.
“Sir, these are your orders.” The messenger spoke as he pulled the reigns of his mount and handed him a scroll.
*SWISH*
The commander rolled open the scroll, which commanded him to well receive and escort the demon pursuit team to the Eisenhiem elite military academy after they arrive at the south gate. They were reported to be chasing the demon general Goro and the remnants of the demon forces. It also authorized him to deploy a search and rescue party, if the demon pursuit team didn’t return within the time period of 6 hours.
“If demon general Goro isn’t dead or captured, then why did the king returned with all of the army? Simply surviving in this battle was not our objective, our objective in this battle was to go all out until we had captured or killed the demon general… and what is that flesh in that case?” the commander murmured.
“You don’t know sir! That is the flesh of the demon king!” the messenger replied with enthusiasm.
“What! that was the flesh of the demon king! Then I presume, the demon king got wounded badly, so the whole demon army retreated; leaving demon general Goro to help let the demon king flee to safety… am I correct?” the commander replied to the messenger.
“No! You’re wrong sir… the demon king was slain… I saw it with my own eyes!” the messenger yelled; but quickly calmed down after realizing something.
“What! Really! That’s great… who defeated him?” the commander asked with sheer enthusiasm, which was sparkling in his eyes.
“I’m sorry sir… I can’t reveal the identity of the hero who defeated the demon king, because our king has strictly forbidden us to do so… everyone in the allied armed forces is ordered not to reveal his identity, person responsible for leaking any kind of information regarding him in any form or any manner will be severely punished.” The messenger replied.
“What! Okay, if the king has ordered it for some reason, then that must be a good reason.” The commander sighed as he replied.

“Okay, you may leave, I’ve received the message. Leave the rest to me.” The commander assured the messenger in a mild tone with a smile.
The messenger saluted him as a reply. He then pulled the reigns of his Pegasus and flew away towards the central headquarters.
“Oh boy! More and more work keeps coming up…ahhh, but it seems like we can finally celebrate today, after the demon pursuit team arrives.” The commander murmured with a smile as he looked at the man who was standing beside him and was continuously yelling for a while.
“Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!” A handsome, tall man, wearing chainmail armor was yelling continuously since the moment the procession passed away.
“Don’t get too excited Yale… we’ve still got to complete our objective and wait for the demon pursuit team to arri…*SOB HAHA*” commander replied laughing; while a stream of tears rolled down from his eyes.
“Yeah, I know that Reve… But you don’t know how much this news means to me!” Yale replied loudly as he clenched his fists.
“I know how you feel… I feel the same way as you do man… ” Commander Reve replied with a sad smile.
“Eren, Helena; Gustav, Rozo; Kate, Marcy; Dum-Dum and Rebecca! All of you can now rest in peace; you’ve been avenged by our army and our heroes!” Yale muttered with a sad smile.
“Although I feel sad; that we were not the ones to avenge our comrades…” Reve replied with a cold sigh.
“We are not the heroes that we once used to be, our whole party got destroyed Rebecca lost her life trying to protect us!” Yale yelled as a tear rolled down his eyes.
“… We became lousy good for nothing city guards after that incident!” He continued after a pause.
“Not me…you became a lousy good for nothing city guard… I became a commander of the south gate city guards…” Reve devilishly smiled as he replied to Yale instantly changing the sad atmosphere that was developed earlier.
“Oh yeah! Then I too became the second in command of the south gate… how about that…” Yale replied ferociously but then started laughing.
*HAHAHAHA*
Both of them laughed heartily for a minute.
“Wait till Ron hears the news…” Reve commented as they kept laughing.

“I bet he will come running to us in his signature yellow pants… and he would tell us to stop working and start celebrating…” Yale commented while he laughed.
“Ah! I miss that yellow party dress of his…” Reve laughed as he wiped off the tear on his eyes.
*HAHAHAHAHA*
*HAHAHAHAHA*
“Is it just me or does everyone here feels like both the commander and second in command have gone mad!” a guard exclaimed in a low voice.
“No, it’s not just you… everyone here is shocked here as well” another guard replied.
“Well, it’s nothing new for vice commander, he is drunk most of the time, slacks off pretty much and has not a care in this world… But, I can’t believe commander Reve can also laugh like this!” a female elf guard commented.
“You say that the second in command doesn’t care about anything, but then why is he so happy?” a guard questioned.
“He is happy because he can slack off more from now on…” another guard replied.
“But, I thought that commander was a quiet guy!” the elvish female guard spoke as she changed her facial expression as if she was shocked.
*SILENCE*
“What happened? Why is everyone silent? Why are you looking at me like this?” the woman questioned everyone around her.
“You’re still stuck on commander! We are now talking about our second in command…” a dwarvish guard replied.
“I didn’t knew that you liked the commander.” one of the guards replied with a grin on his face.
“What! No I don’t like him…well, you can say that I like to know everyone around me…” the woman replied with hesitation.
“Coming back to the point, I do accept that the second in command is really a good for nothing…” a guard replied.
“I agree with you dude…” another guard buzzed in.
“I am willing to bet that he doesn’t have the skills to be the second in command here… he got this position simply because commander Reve is his friend…” the dwarvish guard commented.
“Who got what because of whom?” a young man wearing a grey plate mail armor asked the guards who were having a conversation.
“Stop chatting and be on the lookout… all of you don’t deserve to blame the second in command when you guys yourselves are slacking off… now if I hear even a single word from your mouths about our superiors ever again, remember that there will be severe consequences … are we clear!” the young man yelled.
“Crystal!” everyone replied in unison.
“Hey Kid, cut em some slack, you don’t have to yell at them; you know…” Yale yelled as he laughed.
“But sir… Ok, as you command.” The young man replied while bowing.
“Ah! Don’t be so formal to me… you’re the third in command here Kane… and you’ll soon be promoted…”Yale laughed as he replied.
“But...” Kane tried to yell something, but got interrupted by Reve.
“No buts!” Reve ordered.
“Yes sir!” Kane replied as he bowed again and walked away towards the stairs.
“Maybe you are a lazy good for nothing… but, you sure know how to raise a child properly...” Reve commented softly.
“Ouch! You don’t know how much it hurts me when you tell me that I am a good for nothing…” Yale replied while pressing his chest and pretending to feel pain.
“And you’re a lousy actor too…” Reve laughed.
“That does it… now I’m mad” Yale replied as he growled.
Soon after Reve and Yale stopped laughing, they saw a man running towards them; he was wearing yellow colored pants and a bright red coat. He was yelling something which the both of them didn’t understand.
“Oh my god, I still can’t believe that he still have those pants with him!” Reve spoke as he laughed.
“I won!” Yale yelled with excitement.
“Guys did you get the news?” the man yelled in excitement.
“I see you’re still fast… captain!” Yale spoke with a smile.
“That’s why I’m the captain of the 21st recon team…” the man replied monotonously.
“Yes… we got the news Ron.” Reve replied to the question that was asked earlier.
“Then you know it’s time to ccellebrattee!” Ron yelled in excitement.
“Yes… we will… after the demon pursuit team arrives.” Reve replied sporting a devilish smile.

8 151The Unified States of Mana
My name is Kyra Baker, I’m 20 years old and a university student, and recently I’ve been offered a scholarship to a definitely-not-shady magical academy. A ‘support device’ I was given shows me a list of classes I can take, all involving mana, magic, and Skills with a capital S. To get there I was lumped into a ship full of strange and alien creatures, jumping between worlds as we pick up more and more hapless ‘students’. Things were starting to make a little sense, until the ship crashed into an alien world. Now, I might be getting trained as a rebel soldier, or something? Looking on the bright side, I haven’t gotten this much exercise in a long time and there are plenty of cute girls around. When I develop some Skills and work on my classes, maybe I’ll become strong enough to actually have the time to flirt with them. ~ One of the few surviving records thought to be written by the Empress before her rise to power. 8 259The Demon Eye Gem

The kind of guy that adventurers kill without a thought while on their way to their real adventure. Mischievous but kind, silly and not an actual threat to anyone. At least that was the case before the pirates came. Orcs with sharpened steel arrived on the shores of the goblin swamp. His friends and families were taken. Everything and everybody lost. Now Dizzy has to be more than he ever thought he could be. Now Dizzy must become an adventurer and fight to free his people. But when a murderous minotaur pirate and his crew of orc swashbucklers arrive in the swamp, intent on turning the coastal region into his own pocket kingdom, Dizzy must find a way to escape and rescue his tribe before they are used as expendable sword fodder. With fellow goblins Kitty and YDB at his side, what could possibly go wrong?
