Norsk Battleground, near Ciara Citadel, the Last bastion of hope
*PRRRR**COUGH **COUGH*
*CHEW **GOBBLE*
It was a truly horrendous sight … for every demon present on the battlefield that day, as their commander the demon king got killed by a mere cat! and was now getting devoured by it in the middle of the battlefield.
Although the demon king was stationed in the rearguard with his guards; He, on observing that the soldiers of the Allied armed forces were crushing his demon soldiers got angry, the allied armed forces soldiers who were at the vanguard and were making a beeline towards the commander of the main forces that was demon general Goro, who was quite a muscular fiend, he held a battle axe on his left hand while he punched or grabbed the enemies with his other hand! He was quite a handsome looking fiend too with light grey skin that was covered by an armor; although goro was super strong but he was the only general that agreed to fight today, the other demon generals were too busy with their lives and didn’t wanted to ruin their fun, the demon king being happy at that moment approved their request, but was now regretting it. Earlier while he was stationed in the rearguard, he got the news that Maya, one of the four demon generals would soon be arriving here pretty soon… but if Goro got killed today, then half of the demon forces present here with him would also be destroyed today, and then they would have to force themselves to retreat, which would prove to be a great loss for him, as his unbroken momentum would be destroyed and the Allied nations will get a chance to regain their strength and would fight back to further push the demon forces.

If the demon king was given a chance to use his apocalypse level spell ‘Black Meteor Shower’ then he would have surely used it to obliterate all the Allied armed forces including the citadel that lied beyond them, but that was not the case… as that spell could be used only once in every 20 years and he had used it 18 years ago, When he started his conquest for the upperworld. So, the only suitable course of action remaining for him was to increase the morale of the demon soldiers who were fighting in the vanguard and the main forces. And, what could be a better plan than he himself joining the main force for a short amount of time! His sudden visit towards the front will raise the morale of his demon soldiers while lowering the morale of the enemy! And would kill two birds with a single stone, also it would be a refreshing experience for him, as he didn’t fought much on the front.
His decision that he made at that moment became the cause of the crushing defeat, for the demon forces.
The confused and horrified demons stood near the corpse of the demon king, until a demon that stood closest to the corpse lost his mind and ran away screaming “Rr…run… get out of my way … let me goo…I don’t want to die…”.
As soon as his screams fell on the ears of horrified demons, they got panicked and ran away backwards towards the rearguard, leaving a huge gap between the vanguard and half of the main demon forces which were currently engaged with the enemy.
*SLASH**SLASH**SLASH**SLASH**THUD**THUD**THUD**THUD*
“The deserters will be exterminated…on the spot!” demon general Goro spoke in a cold and angry tone as he killed the demons that were trying to run away.

“We won’t retreat unless and until we bring our lord back with us! Everyone, kill that monster who dares to devour our lord…” these words eradicated the fear inside every demon soldier who was present there.
*YAAH**UWOOH**KILL**EXTERMINATE**DESTROY THE CAT*
Every demon soldier that was present near the demon general, including the general himself charged towards the cat that was enjoying his meal.
Watching strange never before seen creatures running towards him with weapons on their hand, the senses of the cat tingled and he decided to flee with some pieces of demon lord still in his mouth!
“you, you, you and you… take the remains of our lord and head back towards the rear guard... you twelve guys over there… help them and protect them… the rest, follow me... we are going for a hunt!” the demon general instructed the forces as he ran after the cat that was trying to flee.
“Everybody on the front slow that thing down …hit him with anything you have… don’t let him escape…” a demon with a loud voice yelled as he ran besides the demon general who was pursuing the fleeing cat.
*SWISH**BOOM*BOOM*SWISH**SWISH**SWISH*BOOM**BOOM**BOOM*
“Damn it, why can’t anybody hit that freaking cat!?” the angry demon general yelled loudly.
“Sir, maybe we should try to use an area of effect spell that has restraining nature…instead of shooting the cat directly… because you know…err…that cat is too nimble!” a demon following the demon general suggested him in a flustered voice.
“Brilliant! Is there anybody here, who is capable of using a restraining type area of effect spell? The demon general yelled loudly.
“Excuse me sir, but I am capable of doing it…” the flustered demon replied.
“Then do it! What are you waiting for…”demon general replied angrily.
“OK sir!”
*SWISH**ZOOM**ZOOM**SWISH*
“Bindeth thy foe in mis’ry… Shadow Bind”
*ZOOM**ZOOM**ZOOM**SWISH**RUMBLE*
The ground beneath the foot suddenly turned pitch black… the cat that was moving at an extremely fast speed suddenly stopped! His shadow started crawling up engulfing its whole body. The cat now started to panic as it struggled desperately to free itself from the clutches of that spell.
“Hiss…Hiss…Hiss…” the cat dropped the piece of flesh of the prey that he had killed and hissed intensely at the demons, like he was warning them to stay away.
“Great work! What is your name lad…?” the demon general asked.
“Zuliya!”
“Hmm…Zuliya… hmm …isn’t that a girl’s name?” the demon general replied.
“That’s because… I am a girl…”the demoness replied in a flustered tone.
“Oh! I’m sorry” the demon general replied as he turned his eyes toward the demoness and smiled.
“Congratulations soldier! You are now promoted to a 50 demon team commander!”
“I’m honored…sir!” the demoness replied.
*HA HA HA*
“Ha ha, as for you… cat…*SWISH* you’ll have to die…” the demon general roared as he swung his axe in the air.

The Rowan Fox, Tail 1: The Missing Children
Deep in the Maple Woods sits a mountain of old. Humans have claimed it and today a city called Redlog covers it from peak to foot. Meet Josei, one of many medicine makers living in the city of red roofs. Hers is the start of many tales, home to a very special fox. Like foxes often do, this one finds himself plenty of trouble. (Thought I would be gone forever did you? I'm back again! This time with a book that actually has an ending. I know because I've written it. I will be editing each chapter then releasing it here as they're done, probably once or twice a week. It's a shorter tale than what I've written before but that was the goal from the start. I really need to learn how to finish a story so this was a big accomplishment for me. I'll be writing The Rowan Fox in several parts instead, short but hopefully sweet.) (This story is a combination of some of my favorite things: folktales, foxes, ancient forests, and feel good slice of life. I hope you like it!)

Points of Light - An Oral History of the Collapse
Humanity endures. The phrase is not only an informal slogan of the reformed United Nations, but a rallying cry the world over. Even in the face of extermination, we struggled, we fought, and we endured. But just how close did we actually come? In our darkest hour, how many steps separated our species from oblivion? And are we even safe now? Were the mistakes made by earlier generations really so obvious? Or are they only so blatent when we look back with the advantage of hindsight? If so, what horrors might be staring us in the face even now that no one has the foresight to prevent? Drawn from thousands of interviews, as well as uncorrupted contemporary recordings and source documentation dating back to the early 2000s; Points of Light is a definative look at the last half century of upheaval, prosperity and carnage. It tells the tale of what happened, how it happened, who was responsible and most importantly, what we might be able to do to prevent it from happening again. This is a rewrite of a previously started fiction under a pen-name. Chapters will be updated every two days at 6:00 EST.

Gods and Glory
What is Right? And what is Wrong? It's the hypocrisy of history written by victors. The Gods are good, the Devil is evil or so we've been told. Those who oppose the rulers in this world shall be persecuted and entitled evil, for they might shatter the false peace established. There never will be true peace, only coexistence. For to live is to devour; To devour is to deplete that which is consumed. This is the fact of life. What makes a Hero? Who deems what deeds be called 'Heroic'? Saving the world? Being chosen by a God? Unbelievable Power and Skill? Spirit of Self-sacrifice? Or Devotion and Bravery? Who knows? Our protagonist shall play the part, starting over again to correct her mistakes. Pit against the tides of fate, struggling to change the future. Her nemesis, victim of a cruel life and the irresponsibility of adults. Sights set on revenge, now he crawls his way back, looking for blood. Watch the contest between wits and brawn, as they fight their way up to victory. In the end, who will prevail? Noble or Peasant? The Hero or the Devil? Mortal versus Immortal. This is a story of Sin, a tale of Trust, a novel of Nobleness, and a chronicle of Magic. ~ fin ~ "I will write my way into another life." - Ann Patchett - Hello everyone~!!! ~(???)/~ Ballisti here. I hope you had a good time reading! This is my very first book, but I've spent quite the time writing and editing this. So I'm a tad bit confident with this. Sadly, I'm only able to put up 2 chapters weekly. The reason is...I'm still a student. School is hard, annoying and a hassle but necessary. So I'm really sorry for the slow updates, but please bear with me~!(?-?-?) I hope you enjoy reading this ('cuz I sure as hell had so much fun writing this ( • ??•? )). Thanks~! Age of Regression
[Author's Thoughts] Dropped, obviously. Still, it's my first attempt at a novel and I do love what I did with it. Big step towards learning. Far in the past, there was a civilization much more advanced than the one of modern times. Evidence of that time remains, but it is all but shrouded in mystery as there remains no way to decipher it. Currently, normal individuals wage war with guns and smaller machinery, but those who can wield a higher power vary in their abilities. Scales, born upon humans, are a mystery in their origins but are the source of their abilities and their way towards advancement. Although normally powerless, humans have adapted to the scales and thus can connect with the power of the universe, much like the other races that inhabit its various corners. In one of these corners, there exists a human settlement where Lancing follows his father's footsteps to begin his own ascent to power. However, he finds he is far different from his gifted father, whose scales below his eyes were among the purest ever seen, reaching gem-like quality. Far from perfect, Lancing shows no desire to give up and ceaselessly moves forward to reach the peak of the universe. However, he begins to notice that the mysteries of the universe slowly begin to unravel in front of his eyes. To reach the heavens, Lancing must carve his own path.
