《After Life》Chapter 24.6: The Storm

Shado teleports directly in front of Sariph. He stands there for a long moment staring down his mortal enemy. He calls to the demon, “Just like clockwork! I can always count on you to show up and ruin my day! Too bad I’m the only one you just can’t seem to kill!”
Sariph snarls, swiping his claws. Shado dodges easily, teleporting behind Sariph. He picks up a rock chucking it at his head, “Come and get me you ugly monster!”
For the first time Shado hears the demon side speak. Never in all his encounters did the demon transformation allude to the fact that it was even capable of speaking. Sariph jerks around, the voice comes out fast as a deep and terrifying grumble, “Every second you’re not running from me, I’m only getting closer! Run my little Shadow! Run!!”
This response does indeed terrify Shado. He does a running shadow teleport to the Enlightened Ones who have gathered deep in the forest. He finds they have interlocked their arms, swaying back and forth, chanting loudly.
“Mountain! Oh! AH! Mountain! Oh! AH! Mountain! Oh! AH! Mountain!”
Ghyia, instead of chanting, calls something resembling a prayer, “Mighty Growler! Protector of light! We bow to the primal Guru! We bow to the mountain! Hear our call for we are in danger! We call upon the ancient protections! We call upon the divine wisdoms of the universe! Shelter us from the evil forces!”
Sariph has no need to teleport after Shado. With his size reaching humongous skyscraper levels, he simply has to take a few steps to reach the forest. With each step he does incredible damage to the forest. The monster sized forest trees crumble to the ground effortlessly. Each step pounding the earth so hard it feels as though it's a never ending earthquake. Until finally there was a quake so powerful it even caused Sariph to stumble.

Sariph catches himself, his attention piquing. For that quake wasn’t from him, that quake came from the mountain. Cole and Cain raise higher into the air avoiding the shakes. Their combined super storms exponentially turning into something epic. The mountain begins to stir, rising slowly. Impossibly it rises higher and higher, shaking the earth with the most extreme forces felt yet. A deep booming voice bellows from the mountain, “Baaaahhhhhh!! Huuunnngryyyy!!!”
The mountain’s voice alone produces violent winds. Ghyia cheers aloud just before Shado teleports her away from the danger zone, “Growler has awoken!!”
Sariph snarls undeterred by this humbling feat. He charges, despite the fact that Growler is in fact the size of a mountain compared to the mere skyscraper sized demon. Growler raises his arms stretching after what must have been a very long nap, “Huuunnngryyyy!!!”
Dirt, boulders, whole chunks of mountain fall from his now moving body. The falling debris causes another earthquake off the charts. The battle of the giants hasn’t even started and already they’ve caused massive damage to the forest. As more debris shakes off, the form of a giant man begins to take shape, though still completely covered in rock and trees.

A Portal Fantasy Comedy Poem
Mix an adolescent shepherd boy in love with a girl who wants to meet existentialists, a Viscount in need of an adventure, and a bland psychic. Add in a flippant god. Put them in a land made up of the after-lives of various different cultures. Stir gently. Sprinkle in some random Midgard Serpent, Genghis Khan, Scheherazade, and a cussing mocking bird. Fry lightly. Season to taste and serve with desired garnishes. Bon apetit! A comic fantasy poetic epic, filled with misfits, slapstick routines, light romance, people shouting out the names of their battle skills before using them, old philosopher dudes running around naked, a very serious lamb, demonic knitting, battery operated magic swords and even more traumatising stuff! I experimented with different styles in the beginning and finally settled on an ABABBCBC rhyme scheme (Give me your 0.5s. Gimme, gimme, gimme. I'm collecting them, seriously)
