《Mountain's folly》7. A certain renown.

Emerging from the portal, we appeared in a field, with an incredible view of the smaller mountains in the sect. It was clear we were on the huge mountain I saw from the Airship. The clouds moving around below us, poking in and out of the different mountains, which from this perspective you could see each one of them had a symbol on them denoting their area of expertise. The closest ones being the alchemy and Formation sigils on two huge mountains right in front of us. It was quite the sight.
"That will be your view waking up every morning, its quite nice isn't it."
I could only nod. I was going to be living here, even my area as a nascent soul cultivator wasn't as nice as this place, I seemed to have leaped over the dragons gates pretty high. Turning around, the amazement just seemed to compound as the immense mansions that appeared before my eyes, that rivaled the one the Ghost devouring Sect leader had. There were 14 of them. It was incredible.
"Now my compound has been left abandoned for the past 100 years or so, so It might be a little dusty, I am going to declare you as my chief disciple"
Pointing to my new abode, he quickly disappeared, ready to put into action his new plan. I wasn't totally happy about that but the opportunity that this was presenting is still very solid. Walking towards my new home, i was contemplating the best ways to invest this new found power. I could very easily create a team within the sect that promotes chaos, add many unknown variables to the mix, that was the way I could go about it, of that I was sure. Coming up to the giant house, I was put even more in awe of it all. Even just the spiritual power in the surroundings would be enough to get me to core formation in a matter of days.

This would mean a huge change to my plans, especially with the cultivation assistant array that was for sure in the abode. This was going to be a big deal. I could feel that much already.
Walking through the beautiful landscape towards the house, I had to remind myselfs of the risks and I couldn't get ahead of myself. Just as I was about to enter the abode, I felt a wave of energy come out over and around me. With that wave of power that seemed to radiate all throughout the sect, came a message that I wasn't best pleased to see.
"Grand Elder Leo has taken on a new chief disciple. Bryen Kringer is now the Chief disciple of Grand Elder Leo, as well as the Prime Disciple of the Towering Mountain Blacksmith school, Rejoice for our great sect will only become greater"
Fantastic, now there were a lot more targets on my back than there might have already been. I wasn't sure if this Grand Elder knew about the potential risks, as the powers that be probably still assumed I at least had some sort of soul burn, even if their instruments say otherwise.
They would still have a bit of lingering doubt. Especially now that I pretty much immediately trade up for a Grand Elder over my original position in the hierarchy, that just seemed to scream shady.
I was stopped from entering the abode, once again by a few more local shouts. The force on them was also far greater than the gentle swell of information that had been the original message. So the force of the shouts themselves stopped me in their tracks. That was far more believable when I saw the people stopping, they all had similar sigils on their robes that Chu had, just with a little more embellishment. The other thing was that they were either Peak golden Core practitioners or low Nascent Soul, these must have been the Chief disciples of the other Grand Elders, they all seemed a bit annoyed that they now had a peer that hadn't even reached foundation Building yet.

"Who the hell are you?"
One of the Nascent Soul cultivators took the lead, he also seemed like the most annoyed about my existence for whatever reason. So that in itself wasn't exactly a good sign. He landed right in front of me. His aura blossoming out to try and bring me to the ground. The abode recognizing me as the owner, sent out quite a strong spiritual array to stop him, so that was good. It didn't totally stop the titanic force of the powerful nascent soul, who rivaled even my prime Soul. Even more complications thrown into the mix. I had to come out strong though, because for the moment I was supposed to be the naive kid from the countryside, who hasn't had to deal with any martial tyranny before.
"My name is Byren, I am the new disciple of Elder Leo, he says that i have the perfect Constitution to practice the Emerald body"
The mention of emerald body seemed to take the aggressive guy by surprise. He even stepped back a little bit, that was both a good and bad sign. At least the methods he was passing down to me were something potent that could even make the disciple of another Grand Elder step back in shock.
Unfortunately that would put even more targets on my back. With that reaction it set my resoluteness. I was now in an incredibly risky position, but the ultimate downsides would just be my death. With this amount of risk I could introduce a lot of chaos very quickly. I may as well just keep putting targets on my back. That should be the only way to proceed, there was no reason to mitigate the risk, so I may as well just go all into a strategy, even if that blows up in my face, the Prime wouldn't have lost much, and we might actually be able to bring down the most powerful sect in the region down a notch.

8 210Triquetra: A Multi-Class Isekai or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Accept the End of the Multiverse
Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure I know, I know, you have heard it all before. Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers. Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared. Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt! (Told you this translator sucks) Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity! Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually. I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.
8 151The Fate Eater
What might a man really do if he found himself reincarnated into a fantasy world as a dragon prince? How would he come to terms with his new nature, his larger-than-life family, the agendas of warring factions, and the destiny he never asked for? This is a story that intends to defy some isekai tropes, but play into others. It's mainly about exploring a rich hand-crafted world, full of its own history and mysteries. Its characters have their own lives and aspirations, and our protagonist is but a piece of the greater tapestry. This story is not about right and wrong, or good and evil. It's about a dragon-man being tested by fate, power, and time. It's about what it's like to live as an outsider who lost their home. But perhaps the most central theme is freedom. What does freedom really mean? What will it cost and how much might one be willing to pay for it? Does it even truly exist? Let's find out together.
8 329The watcher of universe and stuff.
The most devastating thing to an eternal being must be boredom. If nothing can change you, how can you yourself change? Sometimes you have to learn that the hard way. I should point out that there are multiple lead characters and they will all have their own personalities and motivations. While the story will focus more on our MC Trey, you can expect multiple POV switches. If you do not like POV switches, this might not be for you. My first book. If anyone will ever read this, be so kind as to leave a comment. Even, if all you say is an insult. As long as I can improve this work by your comment, it's all fine. One thing’s for sure. I will keep writing as if my reader can handle curse words without curling into a little ball and repeatedly saying: "Leave my safe-space alone, you monster". Therefore, you can expect some profanity.

A long time ago there existed only a single continent, the divine continent. These three great civilisations were ruled by emperors that were so powerful that they could kill anyone that they wished but each other with but just a single thought while being billions of kilometres away. But that was all in the past as now there is more than just one continent. Now there is no longer a civilisation that would dare call itself great. Now there is no human, tyrannical beast or magical beast alive that could kill anyone that they wished with just a single thought by being billions of kilometres away. But that could all change in the future.
8 182That Scottish Play
This is a very silly and cringey parody of Shakespeare's Macbeth. The play format will be kept consistent throughout. Unless you enjoy cringing so hard you experience physical pain, I'd suggest avoiding this work. However, as the level of cringe is only slightly less than that of the office, any fans of that show may enjoy this work. (I believe, as a parody, this work is protected from copyright by fair use, additionally, Shakespeare is in the public domain so it doesn't fall under copyright in the first place. If I'm wrong please let me know)
