《Making magic, Forging fame.》The work of a warrior

Since the lessons don't start for a week , and the sleeping halls are being cleaned, i have been given a bed in the servant quarters to sleep in. Unlike the guards that seem to remain here all the time, the servants are down to a few people due to everyone leaving for the winter.
After waking up, i make my way outside, taking the side-door.
The castle is surrounded by fields covered in a thin glaze of snow, slowly melting, showing the begining of spring is arriving.
Surrounding those fields were forests that extended indefinately.
"Magestic isn't it. It's especially beautiful during winter though." I turn behind me, a tall muscular man unshaven and coarse in appearance, but stood straight and upright none the less. He was cloaked in thick furs and carried two swords on his left hip.
"Yeah." I say back.
"You must be the new recruit. I heard about you from the captain. Must've been terrified by that frostbite of a lady. Her glare is colder than a mid-winter's night breeze." His smirk revealing that he knew something that i didn't.
"Yeah."
"heard you lost your memory. Won't matter too much, teaching the basics will be easier that way."
"Yeah."
"Don't say much do you? Well not that it matters anyway, though probably should get you warmer clothes, it may not be cold now but wait until the wind picks up. Come on." And with that he headed across the fields. "I'm wolf by the way."
I quickly follow him "Lore".
On the edge of the forrest is a stone hut camouflaged by the thick vines that coated its walls.
Wolf goes inside, i wait outside. After a few moment he returns with a worn thick cloak, cloth unlike wold's fur, and patched many times "Here, a coat would have been better but it'll be fine as it is."

It fits well, this is surprisingly warm. "thank you."
"Let's go cut down some trees." With that we walked into the forest, eventually coming to a clearing. Wolf hands me an axe.
"I thought i would be doing guard work." I inquired.
"We're warriors yet we hunt for food, we guard for money, and we cut wood for the fire's warmth. Only the stupid follow their name. And only the lazy don't finish their work.
And with that we cut the wood.

Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne (1870) (Completed)
In 1866, ships of several nations spot a mysterious sea monster, which some suggest is a giant narwhal. The US government assembles an expedition to find and destroy the monster. Professor Pierre Aronnax, a French marine biologist (and narrator within the story) receives a last-minute invitation to join the expedition. As the expedition travels south around Cape Horn into the Pacific Ocean, the crew finds the monster after a long search and then attack it, but the ship is damaged with the three main protagonists thrown into the water. They are quickly captured and then meet the enigmatic Captain Nemo. ~ Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is a classic science fiction novel by French writer Jules Verne and was originally published in 1870. The novel was originally serialized between March 1869 and June 1870 in Pierre-Jules Hetzel's periodical, the Magasin d'Éducation et de Récréation. An illustrated edition, published by Hetzel in November 1871, included 111 illustrations by Alphonse de Neuville and Édouard Riou. Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea is regarded as one of the premiere adventure novels and one of Verne's greatest works, along with Around the World in Eighty Days and Journey to the Center of the Earth.
