Soon after a mechanical voice started speaking of the world In which Xeno had just arrived into. Furthermore it promised a brief explanation of the motive of the alien's destination.
After the worldwide conflict, generally referred as the 'Third World War' humanity continuous technological advancements had suddenly stopped.
The direct cause of this was not the great nuclear disaster that provoked many deaths and spread sorrow all over the world. But rather the formation of the world government, which was indeed a consequence of the great war.
The high echelons of the new world organization had deemed responsible for such destruction the same scientific innovations that had improved human civilization until now. It was a known fact that technology was subject to great improvements in times of war, as the various states had fueled it to be then employed during said conflicts.
This radical decision had been criticized as extremely stupid, humanity held science dear and many had bet their lives to the study of its various disciplines.
The complaints weren't enough for the statement to be turned down by the government, the world needed to be rebuilt through the years. They pointed out that humanity resources should be aimed toward the reconstruction of the their civilization before anything else.
Years rapidly made their course, and now after three centuries peace reigned over the Earth, surely absolute happiness couldn't exist as poverty couldn't be erased. Nonetheless no more conflicts arose ever since, the world had been unified under a single banner.
At the same time the ban over scientific research had been lifted only recently, new researchers popped up all over the world while trying to resume what their ancestors had commenced.
Yet it was too late, the System praised their unity, however the selfish creature could not admire their shortsightedness as well. Even if faced with no more internal enemies earthlings should have imagined the possibility of an external threat. They shouldn't have underestimated the dangers cloaked through the vastness of the universe, a dangerous entity had targeted Earth. The System already regarded it as a planet to be included into its territory, consequentially augmenting its profits.
The System's 'conquest game' had started.

This 'game' main object was to eradicate the earthlings' dominion over the Earth and replace them with those abiding to the laws of the System. A such the System had granted a precise number of spots for aliens inhabiting faraway planets to try their luck in the conquest process. By purchasing a special ticket, you could participate into the conquest, build your own reign and actual possess a portion of Earth's territory. This was the method utilized by the System to gradually expand its territory. Planet Siri-0rF was a good example of it, in fact the political distribution of the territories is none other that the result of the fierce competition between foreign aliens hosted by the System and the native inhabitants. The Elkitryan Empire had been indeed founded by an ancient celidre of great power, who had persevered trough the challenges of the conquest games and had triumphed over various enemies.
However, sooner or later the first ruler of the Empire perished under the inevitable flowing of time. His dynasty had thinned out and slowly declined, arriving to the point of dying with the memory of their first ancestor. Then the System had simply transferred the control of the Empire to a delegation of five of his overseers, true ranker of the fifth level. Certainly no one would dare to question their authority.
Nonetheless, the conquest game wasn't as simple, in fact the System wanted to maximize the profits that such occasion would earn him.
As such, this phenomenon resembled more a planet level show that the wicked being sold to the intergalactic-wide public under its influence. Furthermore the spectators could do much more than simply observing the game progress. They could communicate with the participants of their liking, even support them by donating coins, which would obviously be spent into the shop, entering the System's bottomless bank.
All in all, even considering that they were playing on their home ground, earthlings were clearly into a disadvantage in front of the alien participants. The rank cap for the challengers was of the second level, true rankers weren't admitted. Yet the natives were total beginners, and even if it was their fault for not believing into the existence of the System, their fellow humans could not abandon them. In fact Earth was not the first encounter the System had with this species and it had already submitted to its dominion numerous human civilizations. These very more advanced men sympathized with the earthlings current situation and wanted to help them.

[Charging the second and last part of the information…]
[First challenge: parasitic apocalypse]
The participants of the conquest game will compete between themselves and the natives to contend the territories of Earth. The System is fair and equal toward its citizens, as such even if the challenge has in reality already started, the main mission has already to be properly lunched. Take advantage of this small pause and make yourself accustomed with the new environment that surround yourself.
The once pacific and tranquil civilization of earthlings, human inhabitants of Earth, has been chosen by the System to wield its great power. However they have refused such grace, consequentially entering the 'conquest game'. The day in which the beginning of the game has been decided to start has just arrived, with it a parasitic species had been implanted into humans all around the globe. The parasites are spreading, creating chaos and destruction all over Earth. This is the first challenge of the game, necessary to lay the foundation of the new Earth that will be under the influence of the System. Before creating, destruction is firstly needed.
[Explaining the basic set up of the 'game'…]
The basic currency of the conquest game are not coins. In fact the use of said universal currency will be limited at the various System bases scattered around the globe. As such, portable shops and drone shops won't properly function.
The AP, alias authority points, will be what you will be most looking forward to obtain during the game. However keep in mind that the AP do not interfere nor do they have any weight over your individual authority, which can only be obtained from your rank.
AP can be obtained through the 'passive quest', 'the main quest' or the 'hidden achievements' present in the game.
AP will be fundamental in starting the foundation of your reign and in managing it during the game. Furthermore AP will be important during the various conflicts you may encounter against other participants.
The more points you own, the larger will be the territory available for you to purchase. Furthermore AP can be utilized at a System Base to acquire functional buildings and facilities offered by the 'special shop' of the game.
Nonetheless, Authority Points are important even in fighting against other participants. Players can challenge each other for the dominion over their territories. One can only attack the territory of another if he has at least half of his PA and his territory is adjacent to the one of the challenged. Also the defender has the right to deny the offense if he has more points of the attacker.
Killing a participant will grant you half of his AP, while exchanging points is admitted.
There will be a leaderboard regarding each zone of the first challenge, although it won't be based on the AP of the users, but on a special algorithm that will calculate the feats and achievements of each participant of the zone.
Host has been signet to zone: 'Manhattan Island'.
[Updating status of the host… please check it for changes, as more instructions will be delivered later on…]
[May luck be with you]
A gray, ruined like long road charged through the tall buildings of Upper Manhattan, they called it 'Tyler street' giving honor to a war hero of the third world war.
In the middle of one of its intersections, a strange phenomenon was taking place. A humongous rupture through space itself suddenly manifested, the abundant energy flowing through the spatial rift created various luminous cracks of high energy. Under the resplendent sun of mid summer an alien entity made its grotesque appearance.
He was a 3,5 meters tall silver skinned giant, his toned and imposing physique and sharp claws on both feet and hands anticipated his physical prowess.
However other peculiar traits distinguished him as a dangerous individual, such as the bizarre and luminous armor covering his torso, which exuded a great amount of nano-energy. Over his face only a closed vertical eye and his grinning mouth could be seen, as no other sensory organs were present.

I wrote this when I was 16/17 (which was many years ago now!) on a really old PC I called Phylis. I remember having to print it out on an old ribbon printer to submit it to publishers - this was back before esubs were the norm! It never got picked up and I ended up self publishing it. I hope you enjoy.

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. And what do all creatures do to those that are different, those that do not fit society, those that they think should not have been born to this civilized society...? [Book Cover Made by the wonderful THEMIDNIGHTECLIPSE13] - thank you! I'm only introducing the perspective of the main character for the first part. Things change drastically soon after that. [BDSM entries are clearly marked and written so they can be skipped without affecting the story] ***A couple scenes to whet your palate*** 1. "Uh, we heal from pretty much everything and anything. Have you ever tried physically damaging your eyes to see if they would fully heal?" "N-no. No, it doesn't work," I forced out, my voice a little strangled and cracking before hardening. "And stuff like that, isn't that just wrong?! Hurting someone just to 'fix' them." 2. I leaned and he met me, our soft lips touching and moving perfectly on each other's. I felt as his tongue ran the slit of my lips, my tongue coming to graze it as it passed over, knowing doing so was like catnip to him. He leaned closer, and I shivered as his hands ran from low on my hips and grazed along and up my ribs, pulling my chest closer to his so my body arched and rubbed against him. I hummed in appreciation. [warning: so far aggressive or physical bullying and maybe a little kidnappage and sexual themes as well as possible trigger warnings]
