Chapter 76: Yes! Brother Chen is all mine now!

Are you serious? Lu Chen and the waiter look at Ye Meixiu like she's a monster as she continues to order the 20th dessert, and there is no sign of her stopping. Lu Chen decides to put the brakes as he suggests to her, "Meixiu, how about you get the five desserts first. And if you are still hungry, we'll order more."

This is the only way to end Ye Meixiu from ordering so much. Well, almost stop. But even if he pauses Ye Meixiu's endless onslaught, his wallet is still going to be blasted from just the cost of the five desserts.

"Alright big brother." Ye Meixiu looks a little hesitant, like a pouty kitten. If Ye Meixiu didn't say anything, Lu Chen would have bought everything on the menu from how sad she looks. She nods at what Lu Chen said. She looks at the waiter, "Just give me the first five I had said."

The waiter nods his head and then turns to look at Lu Chen, "What would you be having, sir?"

“Can I get the triple-layered coffee cake, and can I get a cup of earl grey as well?” The waiter nods his head as he left the two alone.

As the two waited for their items, Ye Meixiu starts small talk with Lu Chen as she asks, “ Brother Chen.”

“Hmm. What is it, Meixiu?” Lu Chen looks at her.

“I have to ask: why did you keep your hair that long? You look so much better now than you did before.” Ye Meixiu had noticed long ago that Lu Chen had kept his hair unkempt and long for years now. So she is curious as to the reason why he had cut it now.

Lu Chen scratches his head as he begins to explain the reasoning of why he kept his long hair and the reason why he had cut it. As Lu Chen explains his story, Ye Meixiu's expression consistently changes from curiosity, then to anger, quickly followed by fury, and ends with a look of pity.

“How could Liu Fei Fei do that to you! How could she be so cruel!” The amount of physical and mental damage Liu Fei Fei had done to Lu Chen alone was enough for Ye Meixiu to walk up to her and tear her limb from limb.

“To be honest, Meixiu, I don’t care that much anymore. It was my fault for believing in everything that she had said and then going through with it.” Lu Chen could only chuckle at the mistake he had made in the past. After dealing with Liu Fei Fei, he plans to work on himself. Lu Chen knew the future is too significant for him to be regretting what he had done for Liu Fei Fei before.

Ye Meixiu could tell from his attitude and the cold gaze that he’s serious. The only emotion she felt coming off of Lu Chen is only indifference and coldness for Liu Fei Fei. She couldn’t help but smile at this change and encourages Lu Chen, “Well, at least you don’t love her no more, Brother Chen. Which is good. You’re finally free from your shackles. But brother Chen, maybe you should find another person to ask out instead."

Right now, Ye Meixiu is acting as a supportive wife to what Lu Chen had decided. But in her mind, she is cheering in happiness and joy to the extreme. For Ye Meixiu, Liu Fei Fei is the most dangerous and only obstacle in her competition for Lu Chen's affection. And now the hindrance is out of the way. Ye Meixiu knew she has Lu Chen all to herself.

Yes! Brothen Chen is all mine now! With that vixen out of the way, I could easily win brother Chen’s affection.

Ye Meixiu’s smile is slowly turning into a devious smile as the thought of having Lu Chen is making her lose control of her mask. Not realizing her smile, Lu Chen shook his head at her comment, asking another person out? He gave a wry smile and told her, “Little sis, how could I find somebody so soon? I know that with my looks, I could ask any girl out, but would they like me for who I am, or is it only because of my face?”
