Chapter 52: Sorry

Shrugging his shoulders, Lu Chen could only give her a helpless look, "How am I suppose to talk to you? You're one of the most beautiful girls in our school." After complimenting her, he continues, " And besides, if I was the one to start the conversation with you, the guys in the lobby will rip me to shreds."

Ye Meixiu rolls her eyes. Tho she felt happy that Lu Chen complimented her. However, she is not convinced by his explanation, “Then why are you talking to me now?”

“Because I’m forced to talk to you now.” Lu Chen couldn’t help but give a wry smile. Talking to her right now is a pain for him as the crowd's consistent gaze is piercing him. They are wondering why this male student is talking to their goddess so familiarly.

“Oh, so being with me is forced now, is it?” Ye Meixiu narrows her eyes at him. Lu Chen felt that if he said something wrong, Ye Meixiu would end him on the spot.

He chuckles at her and starts to pinch her cheeks gently, “Of course, talking to you is not forced. It’s just that your admirers are going to slaughter your big brother.”

Ye Meixiu chuckles at his joke, “Big brother, you’re a funny person.”

The moment that she said this, Lu Chen knits his brows and pinches her cheeks harder. Yah brat! Do you not notice the number of deadly stares that are stabbing me.

“Oww, big brother, stop pinching me!” Ye Meixiu starts to cry, but her tone is much different from what she’s saying. Even though it's Lu Chen punishing Ye Meixiu, they look like a baka-couple.

The two were so engrossed in their conversation that they don't realize the crow of male students making a despairing look. It's like worlds are being destroyed in front of them. Their gazes are many times worse than the one when Gao Jinhai asked Ye Meixiu's out.

What they had seen is their angel being protected by a handsome man from the clutches of the playboy. Then their angel greets him like they have known each other for their whole life, and she allows him to PINCH HER CHEEKS.

The number of events that happened right now fried their brains. But there is one thing that’s unanimously going through from all of them:

KILL THE PRETTY BOY!!!! ALL HANDSOME MALES MUST DIE!

The two continue to talk about the past without noticing the killing intent that's slowly surrounding them.

Lu Chen looks at his watch, “Oh, look at the time. My next class is going to begin.” He pats Ye Meixiu’s head, “Little sis, I’ll see you around.” The crowd of guys made a path for Lu Chen to walk down, scare not to get on Lu Chen’s nerve, and turn out like Gao Jinhai.

As Lu Chen walks up to the front counter of the library, he asks the librarian, who is still reading his book, “ I want to check these two books out, sir.”

The librarian looks up to Lu Chen, “Let me see your school card.” Handing him his school card, the librarian swipes it on the computer, “Bring the books back in 2 weeks.” The librarian gave the card to Lu Chen and went on with his reading.

“Thank you.” Lu Chen places the books into his bag and walks away.

“Hey, student.” the librarian call out to him.

“Hmm?” Turning his head around, Lu Chen was curious why the librarian was calling out to him.

“Next time you come here, don’t make such a commotion.” The librarian had read to the climax of his book. Before he could read it, Gao Jinhai had started screaming. And with the male students wallowing in pain, it made him fall out of his seat. He couldn’t say anything to Gao Jinhai as he speeds out of the library before he could scold him, so Lu Chen was the only one who can be reprimanded.

Scratching his head, Lu Chen already knew that what happened with Gao Jinhai is loud for a silent library. He bows his head, “I’m sorry. it won't happen next time”, and left the library.

When Lu Chen left the library, the librarian looks in the direction where Lu Chen had left, “At least he knows how to admit to his mistakes.”
