Chapter 41: Didn’t I say, friends?
Luo Ai was at her breaking point when Yao Shao was talking about her breast and shaming her while he had those lustful eyes. She was ready to knock him out on the spot. But the moment Lu Chen made his move, all of her anger deflated like a balloon. She knew Lu Chen had done it for Zhang Jian, but she still wants to thank him for that blow.
SilentLu520: But I punched fatty Shao because of you as well.
ImALittleFairy: ?!
SilentLu520: I said friends, didn't I? That means you and Zhang Jian. Fatty Shao had already gotten on my nerves the moment he was talking down about you. But once he had talked about Zhang Jian, it gave me a better reason to smack him.
ImALittleFairy: …
SilentLu520: Hmm? Did you think that I was only talking about Zhang Jian?
ImAlittleFairy: Abit. Wait, if you punched him for us, then why didn't you smack him when he was talking smack about me.
SilentLu520: .... If I had smacked him after he said stuff about you, I would have probably been killed. Do you know how many people are lusting for you? I would have looked like a prince saving the princess for two seconds. Then got mauled by the guys for having the audacity to do it.
Pff. When Luo Ai saw what Lu Chen wrote, she couldn't help but laugh at it.
ImAlittleFairy: So being mauled by guys is worse than what I'm going to do to you. *^*
SilentLu520: Of course not. But one is 50 guys, the other is a monster that I don't have any physical contact with. ^w^
ImALittleFairy: You!
The two jokes around and Lu Chen seems to have forgotten all about studying. The two went on throughout the night.

The next day,
Elder Wu drove Lu Chen to school. Lu Chen felt so much relief that he escaped from the manor before Lu Xiaotong could say anything to him. Well, even if he didn't, Lu Xiaotong might not even notice him.
Damn, Lao Ma really chewed Lao Ba out. Throughout the night, Lu Chen could hear the agonizing screaming that went on until all the truth came out. And the aftermath was this;
"Lao Ba, are you ok?"
"Yes."
"Do you want to have some meat buns?"
"Yes."
"I'm going to get married to a fifty-year-old woman. Can I get your blessing for our ha[ppy marriage?"
"Yes."
Devoid of all emotion, Lu Xiaotong could only nod like a robot, seemingly not listening to what Lu Chen said to him at the dining table. The three children scoot away from him, afraid their Lao Ba might have gone crazy.
...
Guilt was all over Lu Chen's face, but he still believes what he did is the best choice. At least it looks like Lao Ma had listened to his explanation. Even though Lu Xiaotong looks lifeless, Zhang Wenling was the exact opposite. Her face was brightly breaming as she acts sweet towards him.
"Young master." Elder Wu calls out to Lu Chen as the car stops at a red light.
"Hmm? What is it, Elder Wu?" Lu Chen looks at him.
"I already made a schedule for what time we'll start our workout." He hands him a schedule.
When Lu Chen looks through the schedule, his brows knitted. There was a problem. He had to get up at four in the morning. Elder Wu sense there's a problem from the look Lu Chen made.
"Young master, if you want, I can-"
"No, I will work with this schedule. When will we be starting?" Lu Chen knew Elder Wu was going to make the schedule lighter for Lu Chen. But Lu Chen didn't want that.

Yes, waking up at four in the morning might ruin him. But,
No pain, no gain. Lu Chen knew that he had to suffer some to get something back.
Seeing that Lu Chen was determined to work with this schedule, Elder Wu adds, “I was thinking that we should start a day after tomorrow. I would need to ask the young miss about the types of foods she should make for you.” If Lu Chen was going all the way, then Elder Wu would help him accomplish it. All the workout regime and meal plan’s had already been thought up by him.
“Do we need any equipment to train?” Lu Chen was wondering if they require weights or something like that.
Elder Wu shakes his head, “ No. For now, we will be on training you the basics until your body is able to move instinctually.” The lights blink red, and Elder Wu went back to driving, leaving Lu Chen with the schedule to look over.

Blood Quest - A LitRPG
Leon's family has been diagnosed with a new type of incurable blood disease. It's an absolute death sentence and when it turns aggressive, you only have a few more years of painful life left to live. His mother has just begun the last years of the disease when a person supposedly comes back from death with supernatural abilities. He talks about a choice you get after death--get an extra chance to come back to life, or die. Even with Leon's diminishing life span, he won't consider the option of going there, until he meets another survivor who had the same goal as him and succeeded. Leon has a choice to make—die now for a chance to save his mother, or die in a few years, where the disease rapidly melts his muscles from his own body. He enters a game-like world, a sort of limbo, where his ultimate goal is to climb the tower of Katastroph before his mother's time runs out. There are a few problems with this though. The tower is almost impossible to beat, if you die you won't revive, and only three people in over twenty years have actually made it back. Leon has two years to climb the tower, with the help of the few people willing to try, while Ai, the tutorial guide, makes things harder for them. ***** The story starts pretty dark but goes onto a lighter tone. Then (more) dark again. Disclaimer: This story is an experimental project and I hope to get any and all feedback you can give me. Warning: First draft. Chapters tend to be between 3400-4100 words long (about 8-11 A4-pages). Mentioning it since I've seen it in other fictions :P Sometimes they're shorter, sometimes they're longer. ******************************** CHAPTER RELEASES UPDATE: As the first "book" in the series is done, I'm going to release coming chapters somewhat sporadically, and when Writathon ends, I'll probably go back to publishing one chapter per weekend. We'll just have to wait and see! I hope you enjoy the story! I really appreciate all comments and feedback, so if you have anything to say, feel free to voice it :) ************ [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Not Another Isekai RPG Story Alternate
The story ends at Alternate Route Finale. Ch 2-2 and on can be treated as Extra Chapters. I still hadn't edited that one and it's low on priority. I may come back to it if I'm in the mood. Most of the portions of the story will NOT focus on the skills, stats, grinding or battles. More about the dialogues (or the internal monologues) and the MC interacting with the world (or glitching, if you name it.). ... With parts of his memory lost, Takeshi, a 25-year old lazy office worker was transported to a game world. Using his casual knowledge on video-game mechanics, join Takeshi's journey as he discover more about the world, his companions and himself. (only if you're interested though.) My personal review: from ch-2 on expect a lot of perversion going on. It can be pretty weird, like the MC want to be a girl and Y*ri other girls, Fut*nari folks, Traps, the mention of t*ntacle monsters and some lulzy display (like shoving a morning star up someone's b*tthole in retaliation). In here, the MC will discover new things as he kept on exploring and trying different stuff. This story will mostly be character-driven. Explanations about the world and its mechanics was kept to a minimum. The MC's on the shameless side with not much real-life common sense (maybe) and he's (probably) not righteous at all. The other characters can be pretty weird as well. It won't focus on romance. Well that's about it.

Flashback: Siren Song
The year is 1969. Yancy Lazarus—bluesman, gambler, future world-class mage and fix-it man—is just a dumb, unlucky kid serving with the 3rd Battalion 3rd Marines in Vietnam. With just a few weeks left to go until Yancy gets shipped back to the States, he’s just trying to keep his head down and avoid a body bag—no mean feat in Nam. But when his squad is tasked with conducting a routine patrol deep in enemy territory, everything goes to nine kinds of hell, and he quickly sees his chances at survival slipping away. When the radio operators start to pick up some funky, dirty ol’ blues all the way out in the backcountry, it’s a nice change of pace. At least until the men in Yancy’s squad start losing their minds, turning on each other with murderous intent as the music works its deadly power within them. Convinced it’s some kind of new psychological warfare initiative, the squad leader forces the men to push deeper and deeper into the Vietnamese jungle, obsessed with locating the music’s source. What they find, however, isn’t some new technology, but an ancient spirit awoken by the terrible war. Even worse, the music is changing Yancy too, awakening something buried inside of him. Only one thing is certain, nothing is ever going to be the same.See how it all began … *** PRAISE FOR SIREN SONG:Hunter's writing is as low-down, gritty, and insidious as the blues Yancy Lazarus loves. Just like the mysterious music drifting through the jungle toward Yancy's squad, Siren Song will get under your skin and sink its hooks into your mind. —eden Hudson, Author of Halo Bound (the Redneck Apocalypse series) *** Hey everyone, this is James Hunter. This story isn't a full length novel--its a novella length work (25K words), and is part of my Yancy Lazarus series. Its already free on Amazon, so I thought I'd post chapters here for the good folks of Royal Road. If you don't want to wait for updates or would prefer to read it on Kindle, you can pick it up for free here: https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B01066TLC0
