Chapter 36: The Adonis Look
A few minutes later, a barber came up to Lu Chen. she greets him, "Hello, what type of haircut do you want to have?"
Lu Chen couldn't decide which one would fit him. So the best thing he could do is asks the barber, "Could you cut one that would suit me? I can't decide." A professional would have a better idea of what would suit him than himself.
'Alright. I know a haircut would suit you, young man. It's the fad these days." The barber said as she begins to cut Lu Chen's hair.
Lu Chen decides to close his eyes as he wants to see the finished product at the end rather than watch the entire process. The rhythmic sound of his hair being cut made Lu Chen's mind relax. His mind had been stressed out from today; Traveling back to the past, the barbeque incident, and last Liu Fei Fei. Being pressed with all of these events was too much for him.
I should just relax for now. I'll deal with everything later.
While Lu Chen was relaxing, he doesn't realize the barber was looking at him intensely. She had pulled up Lu Chen's hair to see what she had to work with. But when she did, one thought went through her mind. This man's face... I have to make him perfect. The barber starts to snip his hair with the utmost precision possible. While he was doing that, the customers and other barbers became quieter. Even Elder Wu, who's talking to the female clerk, starts to stare at Lu Chen in bewilderment. All of them were, to be honest. This wasn't even the end product! All of them wonder what Lu Chen would look like once the barber was done.

Once the barber finishes cutting Lu Chen's hair, she uses a towel to brush off the hair on his neck and shoulder. Then she begins to wash it. Each strand of his hair was tended to with the utmost care. It was like they were having their own spa day.
Ah, this is so blissful~. Lu Chen starts to smile as he felt that the stress in his body was washing out of his hair.
The washing took about ten minutes. After that ended, the barber begins to blow dry his hair and style his hair with gel. Once she was done, she had to double-check one more time to see if everything was fine.
Wow, his face looks just like a marble sculpture! The barber couldn't help but exclaim in her mind. She continues to stare at Lu Chen's face, entranced by it.
"Umm, are you done?" Noticing that the barber hasn't done anything to him, Lu Chen asks.
“Yes.. yes, you’re done. You can open your eyes now.” the barber stutters from looking at Lu Chen’s face for too long.
Did she mess up my hair? From how the barber was stuttering, Lu Chen is skeptical if she did it correctly. When he opens his eyes to look at his reflection, his expression was calm. But in his heart, it's the complete opposite.
His hair was now parted in a 4/6 style, revealing his entire face. His eyes and brows are like a lone wolf hunting down his prey. Pitch black pupils that were darker than the night. Contrasting this darkness was the snow-white skin and thin red lips.
The only words that could describe him were an aloof prince.
Holy crap! Is this me? Lu Chen was in disbelief the person in the mirror was him. Years of hard work and suffering had made him unfocused on his looks. But seeing how handsome he looked, Lu Chen knew he could use them to his advantage.

“Oh my god, he looks like a Kpop idol,”
“Did you see his gaze? So sexy.”
“I wonder if he has a girlfriend?”
“I want a night with him~.”
Lu Chen could hear the customers and workers whispering about him, and he couldn’t help but smile at their comments. Well, the last remark made him twitch. He walks to the clerk, “ How much for everything?”
The clerk didn't answer him. Lu Chen sudden action made her turn into a stone statue. Seeing that she wasn't responding, he asks again,
“Hello?”
“Ahh, the price is 425 yuan.” The clerk blushes from embarrassment.

Outer Sect Disciple
Gongsun Xianyuan, eleven years old, was a genius... or he should have been. Unfortunately when the Cultivator of the Wudang sect came to the village he found out that he had a rare condition that prevented him to cultivate in the arts of the sect. He didn't give up right away but in the end he had to resign himself to the truth. At first he despaired but he soon choose to let his dreams go and begin a new life. This is the tale of an untalented cultivator who had given up in his dreams of glory to live a normal life. How will his future unfold? ------------------------- My native language is neither English nor Chinese, I am writing a Xianxia novel because I like the genre. I have tried to maintain the chinese names and the form of address but I used the measurements of the international system(meters, grams, etc..) and the hour time(no incense stick, or others). It may spoil it for some but I think it would be easier both for me and the readers. Before you read keep in mind that this is a novel with a slow progress. I don't want to give any spoiler but at least a few chapters will be dedicated to his life in the village.

New Paris [a Modern-day LitRPG]
New Paris [OR] I reincarnated into the world of my favorite wuxia novel as an S ranker with unbalanced skills. [Volume 1] - Completed I was one of those people who only stood out in a crowd when their name was called. Then, I died. But instead of heaven, hell, or anything else, I found myself in the body of a young woman whom I did not recognise at first. You see, I had this novel I was obsessed with. The novel was a fairly popular wuxia that got a few sequels, and a handful of spinoffs. One of these spinoffs took place in Paris, where the main cast fought against a multi-millionaire villain. When I woke up after dying, I eventually realised that I was now the third daughter of this multi-millionaire end-game boss in a spin-off of a sequel of my favourite novel. Does this make any sense to you? Because it doesn't to me. But I guess I might as well make the most of it now. Just gotta stay away from some of the more unstable main characters and cut all ties with my 'family' to avoid certain death. [Volume 2] - Currently Airing It had not been a good idea to interfere with the characters of the original novel. Had I known it was going to cause a butterfly effect, I would have stayed in my lane and minded my business. Although, between the suspicious attacks I seem to constantly find myself in the center of, and my 'family' who is the living definition of the expression 'rich pricks', I’m not entirely sure my current predicament would have been avoidable. But maybe it isn't to be avoided; maybe I should embrace this opportunity that has been given to me and become the hero of this story? At least it's certain that I can't do worse than the original protagonist in terms of moral ambiguity; with immortality already in my pocket, and no other useful skills to account for. However, if I were to follow this path, I would have a lot to lose, including an upcoming promotion and my growing relationship with my crush. With power, glory and whatever else on one side, and my wellbeing and happiness on the other, even in this magical wuxia world, the choice is easy to make.
