Chapter 21: Shen Shen, ahh

“But brother Chen, I know you since we were kids. Of course, I will trust you rather than other people.” Zhang Jian said as he raises his brow.

“Really?” Lu Chen never expects that Zhang Jian would have complete faith in him. Over the course of his past life, Lu Chen began to shun the people that care about him. It made him cautious of the people that he could actually trust, and right now was no different.

This is the past. It’s not the same now. Lu Chen knew that his over cautiousness will make him go down to a place of no return if he couldn’t even trust his best friend.

“Thanks, Zhang Jian. For trusting me.” For Lu Chen, Zhang Jian was the only person he could trust in a time like this other than his family.

“Hey, what are brothers for, and you better take that thanks away. I’m about to eat everything I can possibly can in the restaurant.” Zhang Jian starts stuffing himself with anything he could possibly find on the grill.

Lu Chen could only look at his friend with a defeated expression on his face as he said, “Oh yeah, besides the fact that Long Shen is a cunning bastard, Liu Fei Fei is being weird." He said as he tells Zhang Jian to glance over to their table.

“It looks like she's going to kill you in a few seconds." Zhang Jian notices Liu Fei Fei’s face and starts laughing. Liu Fei Fei’s displease face was something that was beautiful and scary and beautiful at the same time.

“Nah, that’s how she usually looks.” Lu Chen had Liu Fei Fei’s displease face ingrained in him that it was something he was used to. “But the thing she was doing with Long Shen was a warning to me.”

“Warning? Aren’t they doing that lovey-dovey stuff because they are a couple? Well, I can see why it would piss you off.” Zhang Jian understood the two would be flaunting around their couple status in school. So he thought it’s a regular lovebird couple that is in their own little world.

“Yes, one of the reasons they’re acting like this is to piss me off. But the main reason why Liu Fei Fei had kissed Long Shen was to send the message to me that she will never love me and that Long Shen is the only thing precious to her.”

“Aren't you just making assumptions based on your jealously?” Zhang Jian was dumbfounded by how much his best friend was thinking hard about this.

“It’s easy to anticipate Liu Fei Fei moves, watch.” Lu Chen points at Long Shen’s table, “She’s definitely going to be acting more intimate with Long Shen and will look in our direction to see if I’m gazing at them.”

Zhang Jian was skeptical about his friend’s claim, but he decides to look at their table.

When the meat is finished cooking, Liu Fei Fei picks up a piece of beef with her chopstick and places the slice of meat in front of Long Shen's face, “Shen Shen, ahh.”

“Ah, Fei’er. Not in front of others.” Long Shen coughs slightly in embarrassment.

But Liu Fei Fei kept her chopsticks in front of his face. It looks like she wasn't going to budge in front of his face. Seeing how Liu Fei Fei wasn’t going to move, Long Shen had no choice but to eat it. Once Long Shen ate the piece of meat, Liu Fei Fei grabs another piece of meat and continues to feed him.

“Somebody get me out of this table.” Luo Ai said desperately as the never-ending dog food being fed to her was gonna end her life.

Tang Weimin made a small huff, being fed up with the couple's antics. While Yao Shao was sulking a bit, feeling envious of his boss having such a beautiful girl feeding him food.

As Liu Fei Fei continues to feed Long Shen, she slightly glances at Lu Chen’s table. She notices that Zhang Jian went wide-eyed, and Lu Chen was looking nonchalantly.
