Chapter 14: Well if it isn’t playboy Jian and mophead Lu

“Huh?” Zhang Jian looks at him in confusion as to why Lu Chen is acting so calm to everything now. To him, it was like the person in front of him was a totally different person.

“Look, if I care about what all random people say about me, then it would be a hassle and annoyance to deal with them all.” Lu Chen was about to say more, but his stomach starts to growl. He says to Zhang Jian, “ Come on, let’s go. I’m starving.”

“Alright.” Zhang Jian didn’t know what to say to him and could only follow him to the barbeque restaurant.

When they arrive in front of the place, Zhang Jian sighs in relief, “Oh, thank god. There aren’t many people here right now.”

The barbeque place was a small and quaint place that gives off a lively feel to it. Because of the low prices of the food and the ingredients being good quality, many students from different schools would eat here.

“Lao Ban(Boss), can we get a table?” Zhang Jian shouts towards the man wearing an apron. The Lao Ban points at a table inside the restaurant.

When the two sat down at the table, “get whatever you want.” Lu Chen had enough money to spend, and the Lao Ban was standing next to them, waiting to get their order.

“Can I get pork ribs, beef tongue, chicken skewer...” The names of different meats continue to come out of Zhang Jian's mouth, and Lu Chen’s mouth starts to twitch.

I give you an inch, and you take a mile with it. Lu Chen starts to glare at him.

“Hahaha... Nevermind. Lao Ban, get us two servings of the first three items” Zhang Jian knew that Lu Chen was about to snap and lowers the amount.

“And get us a plate of vegetable as well.” Lu Chen adds.

“Ok, so two servings of pork ribs, beef tongue, chicken skewer, and a plate of vegetables. Please give me a moment to prepare.” The Lao Ban repeats and walks away to get their order.

“When have you ever have a taste for vegetables?” Zhang Jian knew his friend was a meat connoisseur like himself, so no vegetables on the grill.

“Having so much meat without anything else would be greasy and fat. The vegetables help cuts some of the greases away,”

“When have you care so much about what foods to eat?” Zhang Jian retorts.

“I’m planning to get a six-pack. So I’m cutting the amount of greasy food I eat.” In his previous life, Lu Chen wasn’t fat by any means. But he wasn’t fit as well, having a beer-belly slightly forming.

This time he was planning to have his body ripped and wants everybody to be jealous of him.

“Ha, you get a six-pack? That's not gonna happen even in a million years,” Zhang Jian laughs at Lu Chen’s dreams. Then he lifts his shirt up, revealing a chiseled six-pack under it.

“You think that you can get this with that thin body of yours?” Lu Chen was envious of his friend’s body. He was one of those types that could eat anything he wants and still maintain a six-pack without doing anything.

Lu Chen looks under his uniform. His body right now isn't like his old self. Instead, it was pretty alright. Lu Chen could see that there were lines forming on his stomach.

It seems that I have a better starting point than I did before. I could get a six-pack in a few months probably. Lu Chen starts to grin evilly.

“Hey, hey! brother Chen, I don’t swing that way, ok?’ Zhang Jian immediately covers his body back up and scoots his chair back as well.

“I’m about to smack you.” Lu Chen said. Before he could say anything else,

“Well, if it isn't playboy Jian and mophead Lu.”
