Chapter 11: Face Slapping
The loud and arrogant Lu Chen was too ingrained into Xiao Lao SHi’s mind that he couldn’t believe Lu Chen was studying right now.
While Xiao Lao Shi was having thoughts of Lu Chen’s sudden change of personality, Lu Chen, on the other hand, was thinking:
What should I do? The only thing that was on his mind right now was how to change his current life for the better to alter the future. To Lu Chen, the problems on the board were nothing to him. He may look like an 18-year old high schooler, but Lu Chen has a mind of a man that’s in his late 30s. So the problems like were child’s play to him.
I already stop pursuing Liu Fei Fei, so the main reason is gone now. Most of what happened in the future were usually revolves around Liu Fei Fei.
He snips off the roots before it could have grown even further. But Lu Chen knew it wasn’t going to be enough to change everything that has happened. As Lu Chen continues to think of ways to change his past, he didn’t notice Xiao Lao Shi calling to him,
“Student Lu, Student Lu, Student Lu.” Xiao Lao shi calls out Lu Chen multiple times. Each time he calls out his name, his tones grew lower to the point it was sub-zero.
The students start to shiver in fear as they glance at Lu Chen. They couldn’t believe he had the guts to ignore the scariest teacher in the whole school.
Why are you still not answering him? Zhang Jian was sweating the most as he turns to poke at Lu Chen’s shoulders, trying to get his attention. Zhang Jian pokes at Lu Chen’s arms with great fierceness. The man broke away from his thoughts and looks at Zhang Jian with annoyance,

“What?”
Zhang Jian immediately points at Xiao Lao Shi, and Lu Chen finally realize he was being called on,
“Could you repeat that Xiao Lao Shi,” Lu Chen thought it was his first time being called on, so he innocently asked him to repeat.
Hearing how innocent he sounded, the class started to snicker at how much of a slacker Lu Chen was. Zhang Jian smacks his head at how idiotic his friend was at reading the atmosphere.
Xiao Lao Shi’s face starts to twitch at what Lu Chen said. This brat, I knew it. Once a slacker, always a slacker. His image of Lu Chen starts to drop even lower than it already was.
“Student Lu Chen, can you come up here and solve the question on the board?” Xiao Lao Shi said.
Lu Chen yawns and said, “ Ok, Xiao Lao Shi,” and begins to walk to the board. The students start to snicker as they murmur to each other:
“Oh, no, Mophead Lu is gonna embarrass himself again.”
“This is going to be hilarious.”
“I bet he’s gonna write a random answer on the board.”
Zhang Jian looks at Lu Chen with worry. Did the incident with Liu Fei Fei yesterday really screwed your head up that badly.” He felt that Lu Chen was acting totally irrational without thinking about the consequences that were going to happen.
Handing the chalk to Lu Chen, Xiao Lao Shi steps back to see what Lu Chen would do. He knew how Lu Chen acts in class. He’ll definitely right a random answer on the board.
Lu Chen starts to write on the board. As he continues to write, the murmurs going around became silent slowly. Xiao Lao Shi’s mouth turns wide enough to be able to put a whole notebook in.
“Cccc..correct.”

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.
