Chapter 10: Is Student Lu Sick?

Lu Chen walks to his desk and sits down before Zhang Jian could say anything. But Zhang Jian refuses to let this go as he sat next to Lu Chen.

“We’ll talk about this later.” Zhang Jian whispers to Lu Chen, but the man ignores him and looks straight wards at the front.

A man looking to in his mid to late 50s and had a very strict and severe face as he came walking into the room.

“Students.” He said with an indifferent voice.

“Good morning Xiao Laoshi,” The students all said in unison as they felt fear from him, not wanting him to be angry.

Xiao Laoshi didn’t say anything back as he opens up his booklet to take his attendance. As he checks them off, he would glare at the students to see if they were there.

The student couldn’t do anything as they shiver in fear whenever he gazes at them.

Xiao Lao Shi closes the attendance book, “Alright, let’s begin class.” And starts lecturing them.

As the students were listening to the lecture, they were silent as well. The students were all attentive.

However, Xiao Laoshi felt slightly disturbed by this. He turns his head away from the board and looks at the class, specifically Lu Chen.

Student Lu Chen is very silent.

It was like someone could drop a pin in the classroom, and everybody can hear it. That surprises Xiao Lao Shi as his classes would always be hindered by one student, and it's the same person.

Lu Chen had been a thorn on the side ever since he was put into his class. The bad thing for Xiao Lao shi was that he couldn’t say anything to Lu Chen, as his father funded most of the equipment the school uses. SO disrespecting Lu Chen was like slapping one of the biggest benefactors of the school. The only thing he could do was give Lu Chen warnings, and that was it.

Seeing how Lu Chen was so silent and focused on the lecture was a surprise to him.

Is student Lu plotting something?

He had been teaching in this school for 20 years now, and he had also taught Lu Aotian and Lu Hao when they were at this school. The two boys were the exact opposite of each other; one was carefree, while the other was studious; but when it came to doing what they need to do, both of them would ace everything. The two of them had always gotten first in their grade, which made Xiao Lao Shi proud to have students like them.

When Xiao Lao Shi heard that Lu Chen was being placed into his class, he was intrigued and had high expectations for Lu Chen. The reason for this is that Lu Chen's older brothers were geniuses when they were at school. But expectation will be different than reality. The third son was the black sheep of the family.

Lu Chen was the exact opposite of his two brothers.

Reckless and spoiled; were the words Xiao Lao Shi could only use to describe Lu Chen. It was as if Lu Chen knew that he was blessed into a wealthy family, and abuses his privileges without a care in the world.

All through this school year, he had been abusing this power. But right now, he was just sitting there so focused and attentive to the class.

His gazes were covered by his hair, but Xiao Lao Shi knew that Lu Chen was looking straight at the board. This focus and attentiveness from Lu Chen was weird, and the only thing Xiao Lao Shi thought of was;
