The person that walks through is a man with a height of 182cm, his face chiseled like an artwork, and his eyes show tenderness and care. He was the perfect image of the flower boy.
When he walks into the living room, Liu Fei Fei’s eyes glimmers in delight. Lu Chen knew who this person was as he glares viciously, “Why are you here, Long Shen?!”
Long Shen had gone to the same high school as the two. But more than that, he was Liu Fei Fei’s ex-boyfriend.
He smirks at Lu Chen, “Why am I here? For my wife, of course.” He walks past Lu Chen towards Liu Fei Fei and embraces her.
“I’m here now, my Fei’er.” He whispers gently into her ears as she kisses her cheeks.
Liu Fei Fei didn’t resist the kiss. Instead, she wraps her arms around his neck to make the kiss more intimate. This intimate scene left Lu Chen in shock and despair. He roars at Long Shen, “LONG SHEN, GET AWAY FROM MY WIFE!”
But Long Shen only laughs at him like he was a monkey at the zoo, “haha, your wife? When had Fei’er ever been your wife, Lu Chen?”
“....”
Lu Chen knew he married Liu Fei Fei, but that’s only on paper tho. Did he have her heart? Definitely not.
Seeing his silence, Long Shen continues, “The only reason why you were able to marry my wife is that you threaten to kill yourself if she didn’t marry you.” Long Shen smiles as he continues, “ She did it out of family obligations and pity. Nothing more, nothing less.”
“...” His words left Lu Chen with more silence, devastated as he didn’t want to believe Liu Fei Fei married him without any ounce of love for him.

“Lu Chen, you said you would give Fei’er endless happiness that she deserves, right? Well, I’ll tell you how she can truly be happy.”
Lu Chen looks up, wondering what it was that would make Liu Fei Fei happy. That has been his objective his entire life.
From Lu Chen’s expression, Long Shen smiles, “ She could only be happy by my side.” He wants to see how shattered Lu Chen would be after he said this.
“No...No.” Lu Chen’s mind had finally broken.
“Tsk. I took your company, your wealth, but there was only one thing that I wanted from you; it was my Fei’er.” Long Shen’s words made Liu Fei Fei blush. When he heard what Long Shen said, Lu Chen’s mind broke even more. He had let everything be destroyed because of his obsession.
Long Shen lets go of Liu Fei Fei and pulls out a gun. He walks towards Lu Chen, “You were a frog trying to eat swan meat, go repent in the afterlife.” Before he pulls the trigger, he whispers in Lu Chen’s ears, “And by the way, even if you guys were married, I was the one who took her first time. You will always be nothing but second place.” He mocks Lu Chen one last time as he pulls the trigger.

12 bullets entered Lu Chen’s body. Blood spurting out from each hole, littering the floor with a pool of blood.
Lu Chen starts to lose consciousness as blood continues to leak out of his body. He stares at Liu Fei Fei with sorrow and despair; he just wants a sliver of warmth from his love in his final moments. However, she walks up to embrace Long Shen, disregarding him as if he wasn’t there.

It’s all my fault.
Before Lu Chen’s consciousness begun to darken, all he thought about was everything that had happened in his life. His coldness to his parents, his arrogant nature towards the people that care for him. All of them were gone now. His company, all of it stolen away from him, and what he got from it was a wife that didn't care for him.
Endless regret piled as his mind fades away into the darkness.

Now, it was different. “A villain is just another victim. They cry and mourn, it’s just that no one heard, leading them into madness. It’s one of the reasons why we know the most, but care the least.” I took a deep breath. “We may be the bad guys in other peoples’ eyes, but in my story, we’re the heroes.” Charlotte took in my words for a while and pondered, before nodding in agreement. “As children, we loved the heroes, as adults we understand the villains.” I looked at her and bonked her on the head, earning an angry glare from her. “Hey! You’re barely an adult yourself you know,” she grumbled. I laughed and ruffled her hair, before countering her. “At least I’m not 12. You can’t even be considered a teenager at that age.” After that, we silently watched the flames ravage the land, before leaving.
