On the same path Luke used last time to meet up with Qingyue, he was bubbling in anticipation! Today was the day he finally gets to test his prowess and fight with an main character from these series!

Spooky had suggested that he spar with her to as she quoted, 'put her soul in awe and make her fall even faster.' She noted to him that their spar won't be just a simple spar because of their soul mark!

It will be akin to an elegant dance perform by two partners who slowly get close to each other. Luke didn't know their fight would be like that, but he was assured he could make it as enjoyable as possible.

Suddenly Luke felt his soul soothed, and he picked up on an intoxicating scent.

Before his very eyes was the always beautiful Xia Qingyue though now she looked a bit different compared to their first day. She wore a more fitting azure, red robes that snugly fit her body. It highlighted her enchanting curves and budding breast, making her even more stunning.

And as well, Luke notices a slight tinge of a blush on her cheeks and more delicate jewelry in her hair. To anyone who doesn't know Qingyue, they would only see it as her being strangely more beautiful than before!

However, Luke could tell she put on a more refined appearance for today. Plus, there was also the fact she was cutely leaning on the tree where they sat at before, waiting for him.

And just like how Luke's soul picked up on Qingyue, she as well felt Luke coming and was in a bit of awe seeing his current appearance. Last time they hangout, Luke gave her a curious and engaging feeling. One that made her want to get to know him more and felt joy when talking with him.

However, compared to what she felt now? It was a whole other feeling!

Luke carried a tranquil magnetic charm that speaks to one eye. He was full of smiles, vibrant, and bright as he walked with uplifting confidence. The darker shade of his glowing blue eyes reflected off from her clear ones, and deep down, Qingyue felt a stronger longing to Luke.

Her soul mark was brightly shining, and her soul craved for Luke to come close. Above all of what Qingyue notice, was how Luke suddenly became an eighth level Nascent Origin!

'It had only been a day, yet why do I feel like he changed so much...' Unconsciously, she was staring at Luke in bewilderment.

"Hey Qingyue, surprised to see me?" Luke charmingly said as he felt a bit proud in already making Qingyue stun without even doing anything.

Luke's words jolted Qingyue up!

A small blush covered her face as she shook her head. But she couldn't stop a small smile from forming as she said to him,

"Every time I see you, there's always something different about you. How did you reach the eighth level so quickly?"

"Ah, do you know about the Xiao Clan examination?" Luke got near Qingyue and asked, leaning on the tree with her. Qingyue now felt a bit of warmth and joy, having Luke stand close to her, just like the first day they hung out.

"Yes, sister Lingxi mention it the first time when it happens... don't tell me you participated in it?" She didn't need to be a genius to know why Luke would suddenly bring up the examination in regard to his level.

Although still, by the time Luke would have participated, he should've only been a first-level Nascent Origin. And Qingyue knows he couldn't use Spirit Power, so how did he do it?

"Yep, not only did I participate in it, but I also won! A pretty good feat considering the stiff competition, don't you think?"

He actually won the whole thing?!

Yet some proof was undeniable in her face, such as Luke's eighth level Nascent Origin aura. It's why she looks at Luke with a questioning gaze saying,

"Did you suddenly experience a great breakthrough during the combat portion? But...how did you even pass the first portion?"

Luke knew Qingyue would just have more questions on top of questions, so he decided to work his magic now.

"You know for today Qingyue, I am going to teach you how to control Spirit Power. But first, I want to see your control in regular cultivation to get a better understanding of you. So that's why..."

'Whir!'

Blue lightning instantly crackled out of Luke's body!

His lightning danced in the air, but it didn't rampage around recklessly. No, in fact, his lightning elegantly wrapped around his body like an aura and coiled around Qingyue's body like she was a precious jewel.

Luke adjusted his soul power to only match Qingyue peak True Profound aura while also not letting his sudden power leak out to the manor. Although Spooky suddenly called to him saying,

'It seems like Dongxue was more affected by our soul than I thought. Well, don't worry about her; she only going to come to watch.'

While Spooky informed Luke, Qingyue was beyond shock!

Out of nowhere, Luke's aura suddenly raised to a point where it matched hers! Furthermore, she didn't even feel pressure from it. It was more like Luke's lightning was a warm blanket and gave her a piece of mind.

Her eyes were enthralled by the delicate appearance of Luke's soul lightning state.

She nearly just wanted to go up and touch him!

Yet she only dazedly stared at Luke's form while he had a broad smile on his face.

"See? Seeing it is much better than saying it. So Qingyue, would you like to spar with me? It'll be fun for both of us!" His words were enchanting towards her. And now she nearly believed from just this strange power, Luke could very easily win the whole examination.

"Luke... you're so...peculiar. Are you sure you want to do it here?" She asked since they were so close to her manor. In return Luke open his palm, gathering up soul Spirit power.

Holding his hand up, he erected a wide barrier on the secluded path they were on, so none of their powers leaked out. Although he knew Senior Dongxue would still be watching, at least she didn't mean any harm.

Besides getting the approval from a God realm woman, would do good for the future.

"Amazing, so this is a World Spiritist barrier. You must teach me this after our spar." Qingyue had just demanded while she was still looking around the luxurious-looking barrier.

However, she didn't know that she just put a great idea in Luke.

"Oh, don't worry, I was going to teach it to you, but how about we up the stakes a little bit? If you win our little spar instead of just teaching you, you can request for me to do anything you want within reason. And if I win, I can request for you to do anything I want within reason. How does that sound like?"

Such a bold and daring request Luke knew would work in this situation. He already knew Qingyue likes a good fight, and she is quite competitive. And seeing a growing, challenging smirk, Luke knew he chose correctly.

Qingyue however just from sensing Luke's aura didn't believe she would lose, so she said,

"That would be agreeable, Luke. I hope you don't take back your words now." She surprisingly jested to him, and Luke gained his own challenging smirk saying,

"It's impossible for me to ever go back on my words! I hope that it goes for you too."

Swiftly they both jumped back at equal distance, building up anticipation for their great battle. Luke's blue lightning still swirled in a calming rhythmic pattern as he locked eyes with Qingyue.

Ice began to gather at Qingyue feet in the form of blue ice lotus!

Despite feeling confident over winning, she didn't dare to underestimate Luke after all she has seen from him. Her gaze locked with Luke's confident one, but suddenly he vanished from his spot!

Qingyue relying on her instinct sense danger coming from her right as blue lightning sparked in her peripheral vision.

With only a split second, she swiftly but elegantly turned to face Luke!

Her blue ice lotus was roaring to intercept him, yet all she saw was empty air! And to her left, the sound of crackling lightning boomed in her ear.

'Bang!'

Luke's lightning fist clashed with Qingyue's ice barrier! And his fist nearly cracked her barrier in one strike!

Even as the temperature rapidly dropped around her, Luke wasn't affected at all by her cold. In fact, it felt a bit warm for Luke.

Qingyue skillfully jumped away as numerous blue ice lotus formed around her in an instant. Ever since she gained her new veins, the rate she could bring forth her arts dramatically increased.

However, before she could send the dreadfully cold lotus to Luke,

"Lightning Binds!"

From Luke's fingertips, multiple blue lightning binds shot out at grand speed! The binds instantly wrapped her lotuses, canceling them out. And when a single blue lightning bind came straight at Qingyue, her mind buzzed.

Luke's soul power was continually making her soul stir, nearly disrupting her focus. Yet Qingyue grit her teeth and hastily dashed out of the way. With single precise steps, her speed increased dramatically, allowing her to escape.

All Luke saw was snowy afterimage in place.

'So this is the Frozen Cloud arts, it's quite amazing!'

From his back, however, Luke sensed a tremendous power frantically rush into Qingyue! Snow suddenly fell from the sky, and as Luke turned around, gazing upon three ice palms coming down to crush him.

"Three Ice Styles!"

He heard Qingyue proclaimed her attack, which left Luke somewhat surprised. He never read Qingyue using this kind of attack. The power these ice palms exuded was surely enough to annihilate any other peak True Profound realm cultivator if they didn't guard at all!

And even with defense, this attack would be hard to avoid and match against!

But it matters little to Luke to as he once again roared out,

"Lightning Binds!"

This time three blue lightning binds shot out of his palm and effortlessly surpassed the speed of Qingyue's attack and wrapped around the ice palms!

'BOOM!!'

A stupendous explosion flared out as Luke destroyed her attack. Blue lightning and ice spewed everywhere, creating an enchanting scene. Sparkles of their power brilliantly shinned between them, and Qingyue became even more serious.

She inferred from Luke's earlier attack he would handle the last one, albeit with some troubles. Yet she didn't expect him to so easily dismantle her attack!

"That was a great attack, Qingyue! Ice really does suit you."

Luke honestly complimented, and Qingyue had to blink her eyes on just how even at times like this, he can speak such flowery words. But she was coming to understand that Luke never holds back on his words!

Smiling, she shook her head, her spatial ring was flashing.

"Luke, that was a powerful skill of mines, yet you effortlessly destroyed it. Are you holding back on me?" From her words, out came a marvelous long colored white ribbon.

Now blue ice aura wrapped around Qingyue encasing her like a beautiful ice princess. The gratifying ribbon snaked from her hands, floating around her in an elegant dance.

'That's the ribbon sword! From what I remember, it was a peak Sky Profound weapon, and the equivalent here should be the Sky Lord realm. But how can she control it so early?'

Luke's spatial ring flashed as he brought his axe while thinking about her weapons. With his axe in hand, Luke lightning aura became even more refined, and he told her,

"I was holding back a bit to test the waters. But I could also tell you were holding back until the palm attacks. Right now, let's enjoy ourselves fully!"

Qingyue smiled at his enthusiasm as he genuinely was making this fun for her. Despite saying so, Luke didn't really hold back on his punches as he destroyed her attacks, plus his words and smile only encouraged her to fight more.

And although despite Luke's axe looking ordinary, she didn't dare underestimate that. Compared to Luke, the axe exuded a little pressure that left her wary, but he seemed to have it under his control.

'Swish!'

In a frantic dash, one slender figure of blue lightning and one beautiful figure of blue ice blasted towards each other!

'CLANG!'

At insane speed, Luke and Qingyue clashed multiple times!

Luke perfectly controlled his attacks to always have that little edge on Qingyue but not to the point where she was utterly overwhelmed.

For every clash that happens, wind furiously kicked around them, and sparks of lightning and ice intertwine with each other. Throughout their whole clashes, Qingyue was falling more and more into Luke's extraordinary sight.

His warming smile never left his face, and he looked genuinely excited about their fight. It nearly leads her to slip up!

Luke broke Qingyue's posture by striking the ribbon hard at the tip!

Her body shook from the impact, but before Luke could go in for the second strike, Qingyue suddenly activated her movement skill and jumped high in the air.

Snowy afterimages are what Luke saw as he sensed Qingyue gather up tremendous power. At the tip of her sword was where all of her power was coming from. It only took her two seconds for,

"First Ice Style!"

'Bang!'

Out from her ribbon blasted a tremendously large and powerful ice palm! This attack could rival possibly even half step Spiritual Xiantain warriors!

But towards someone who already fought with a true Spiritual Xiantain cultivator, Luke didn't feel any pressure from the attack. Gathering power into his legs, all Luke needed was a split second before he roared out,

"Lightning axe!"

Like pure lightning, he sped off into the sky and,

'BOOOM!'

He annihilated Qingyue's attack in a spectacular explosion! The sight was truly outstanding to look at as even Qingyue was in awe.

'His power... it's not in the True Profound realm, it's surely in...Ah!'

Suddenly while Qingyue was thinking, two soft pair of hands wrapped around her body. Tenderly, Luke, using his soul powers, got behind her and wrapped Qingyue up in a princess carry.

Slowly he dropped to the ground with her in his arms. Luke didn't hear a single complaint from her either.

Qingyue was shocked at how quickly Luke did it, but she couldn't stop her body from melting in his embrace. Their whole battle was truly magical for her, and soul desired Luke even more now.

Touching down on the ground, Luke saw Qingyue's face was bright scarlet, and he knew a way to make this moment last longer.

"You know Qingyue, that was a fantastic battle. And now that I have seen your control, we could start with Spirit Power. But! I'm just saying it will be better if I have direct contact with you for this training."

With this girl personality, Luke was kind of expecting for her to reject it yet he was a bit shock hearing,

"You...could do it only for a little bit and only for Spirit Power! This doesn't count as your request for me..." She got as quiet as a mosquito at the end, and she desperately tried to hide her face from Luke.

Luke felt incredibly happy and found this girl extremely cute in his arms as he said,

"Well then, shall we get started?"
