Back on a new twisting turning route, Andrea was guiding the team to the next herb spot. Luke was currently next to Xiao Lingxi's side while she and Xiao Yun talked amongst each other on the other side. His face held a pondering expression similar to his cousin as he was engaging in discussion with Spooky.

'Why didn't Yurei put her curse on yet when we're traveling? For when we're in town, I understand, but like with the forest, wouldn't that make our travel easier?'

"Um, you would probably meet an unfortunate end that way. Compared to that forest in this range, hidden deep inside are some tough beasts. Like with you and my curse, her soul isn't enough to fully control and her unintended consequences. Best just to stick with this.' Spooky reasoned in his mind. It was a fleeting thought Luke got in his head, and because these ghosts girls are far more knowledgeable than him, he believed Spooky.

After all, he's already experiencing the cheat like benefit from Spooky's curse, but it was always best to never overstep your limits when you don't know your limits.

'So what did Yurei mention about this next spot? I can only reason why her mind is preoccupied like this.'

'Ah, this spot...it has higher and richer energy compared to the previous one. There should've been more beasts over there, but it's really only those two fourth levels. That's probably why she's in deep thought.' Spooky told Luke. Her senses didn't pick up anything suspicious, nor did they leave the outer edge zone, so what's with all the questions?

For a being like her, she never had a reason to be overly cautious or over-analyze a situation. It's why her thought process couldn't quite connect with Luke's, and he had nodded his head saying,

'I guess that why. Andy would've been quick to say it once she has a reasonable idea in mind. Suppose she doesn't have a great one now, thanks Spooky.' Luke expressed his gratitude but still didn't relax his guard. This little ghost girl is truly a wonder for him.

It's like she really is his eyes and ears! Even more, Spooky is always responding to him and helping him with such little things, such as conversation. It only felt right that he must express his gratitude in anyways he can.

Spooky, although while not deeming it so necessary for this kind of gratitude, did feel appreciated by it. So much so that as her eyes glazed over the beautiful Xiao Lingxi who would take short sneak glances at Luke, Spooky gained a slight mischievous smirk that only herself could see.

'Hey! By the way, take more risks and chances with me. No matter what situation, I will make it easier, and you'll soon experience blissful happiness.'

'Huh? What do yo-'

"Luke! What has gotten you so deep in thought, I was calling for you three times already!" Xiao Lingxi cheerful voice interrupted Luke's question. Looking over, he notices both Xiao's staring at him with an amused expression.

Indeed when conversing with Spooky, he hadn't heard Xiao Lingxi calls. During their conversations, it always felt like these two were in their small little world. But for the outside, they saw a different take.

Xiao Lingxi wanted to strike up another chat with Luke, but it all fell on death ears since Luke had his head down lost in thought. His feet had still followed Andrea's direction though it was like he wasn't there at all in his head. Both Xiao's found this pretty amusing, and even more so, seeing Luke caught off guard expression.

Although what all three of them didn't catch, was Luke's left hand. His hand and the axe shimmered a faint blue glow while he conversed with Spooky. Once his attention got to refocus, Luke still had Spooky's advice of taking chances in mind, though he had another thought bugging his mind.

"Oh, ah nothing much, just thinking how much it was blessing to travel with you guys. Although if you don't mind me asking, why do you two need so many herbs?" Luke's first part gotten the two Xiao's to chuckles seeing as Luke told it in the most honest, sincere tone. His honest mind was a refreshing one to be around, and so far, his intentions have always got plainly laid out.

This was also part of the reason why the two Xiao's took a liking to the cousins as even with Andrea not being much of a talker with them, they both didn't hold back their words in a more friendly way.

And for his question, Xiao Yun answered him saying,

"Not all we don't mind. Going by it, you two probably aren't from around here, but back home, we're friends with a World Spiritists! He's hugely famous in our Floating Cloud City, along with his genius sister. And currently, he's focusing more on the alchemist path and in need of more rich, powerful herbs than one we got at home, but he only trusts us with this sort of task. Plus, this is good training for us too."

"A World Spiritists!" Luke gave the reaction the Xiao's was expecting, but it was for entirely different reasons in his mind. He had immediately recalled they were from the novel Martial God Asura and how massively respected they were!

It was for a good reason, too, since he read up on the various skills and abilities about them. And at higher levels, their strength becomes massive!

But one thing that confused him was the alchemist path?

"Yep! Our friend's name is Yuanba, and he's a friendly giant! Ever since he became a World Spiritists, he worked hard on helping people with whatever medicine he could create. It's why he has widely well known and respected in our city." Xiao Lingxi giggled at Luke, surprised reaction. It was kind of cute seeing him like that, and she went on to try and cause even further awe in Luke.

"I see, so it's like that then, well now I'm glad our trip will be for a good clause!" Perhaps Luke was miss remembering it, but he couldn't recall World Spiritists ever having the ability to perform alchemy.

In fact, in all three novels, alchemy and medicine was a completely separate profession from cultivation. Yet it was a fact World Spiritists can equal with Martial cultivators. It appears as there much more to World Spiritists this time around, but it did leave him with a thought.

With my powerful soul, couldn't I become a renowned World Spiritists?!

Such thoughts got put on the back burner while Xiao Lingxi responded to him with,

"I'm glad we're doing this for a good clause too. Eh? Andrea, why'd you stop, have we arrived?"

In front, Andrea leads them to a big enough rock that hides their position. They haven't even noticed thy were here through their talk, and now all of them got alert.

"Beyond here, there the two fourth level beasts I mention. It's rhinoceros beasts and their resting by a creek of water. Surely you can guess what I'm suggesting, right?" The two Xiao didn't need it explained out for them. A clean sneak attack! This way would be much quicker and easier than a full-frontal collision.

Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Yun nodded, the blue rings on their hands sparked a light blue flash, bringing out their weapons. A short sword in Xiao Lingxi small hands and a long sword in Xiao Yun smooth hands.

"You guys are about to witness our Eagle Arts!" Stated by a confident Xiao Lingxi. Both Xiao's concentrated, closing their eyes, focusing their Nascent essences energy.

Because their not in combat, the two have plenty of time to perfect their strike, and after a few seconds, their eyes flung open.

'Swish!'

A massive burst of wind impacted the cousins as Xiao Lingxi, and Xiao Yun rushed off to the rhinos beasts. Thankfully for them, despite the sudden breeze, the cousins manage to stay on their feet walking.

"Holy shit their like damn sports cars!" Andrea commented while running up to the edge of the rock to obverse the fight. All the time, she has to remind herself continually; oh right, this is the land were 'Gods' can walk about!

"You'll be in for more surprise of what these cultivators can do," Luke remarked while running up, not all too affected since he was becoming more accustomed to this world. At least faster than Andrea was.

'Bang! Bang!'

During the cousins' talks, Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Yun blitzed to the rhinoceros beasts at speed they were entirely unprepared for. With their force and speed, the Xiao's flung the monsters into a nearby tree.

Their surprised attacks caused the rhino bodies to crack all over, and a large gash appeared in the middle of their bodies. In the Nascent Origin realm, one regular spirit senses no matter what race they are would be extremely limited.

It's why the could sneak so close behind the rock, and with extreme burst speed, it was a perfect opportunity. And now, how could Xiao Lingxi nor Xiao Yun give these beasts a chance to think?

'Chi! Chi!'

Swift like the wind, they rushed down the rhino beasts and precisely punctured their swords through the beasts' eyes! In an instant, their swords pierced the beast's brains, killing them off.

It was all a blur for the cousins as the Xiaos used mere seconds to kill off these fierce beasts! Walking out from their spots, the two were about to praise until suddenly,

'To their left a fifth level beast!' Spooky urgently informed Luke.

'Left! A fifth one!' Yurei quickly stated to Andrea.

""Lingxi! Yun! Jump!"" In sync, both cousins shouted to the Xiao's. Instantaneously once the cousins shouted, Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Yun flung themselves high into the air!

'Thud!'

What landed where they originally stood was a humongous tall ferocious white gibbon beast. Its fur was painted all white but got coated in grimy dirt. At the top of its head was a blood-red mix of its white fur, giving the animal's bloodthirsty presence.

The face of this gibbon was vicious with its bloody spiking teeth protruding and deep black eyes like the abyss. Furthermore, the most intimidating thing about the beast was its fifth level Nascent Origin aura!

"HUAH!!" The beast shrieked a feral cry, preparing to jump at its prey. But ever since the cousins had warned them, Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Yun was charging up their next attack. Their aura spiked, and behind them, a silhouette of an eagle could get seen!

"Heavenly Eagle Limitless Strike!!!"

With a roaring eagle cried the blasted down to the gibbon beast. Their speed was like a blur, and the gibbon hastily gathered all its Nascent energy into its claw clashing against the two Xiao's!

Undoubtedly Xiao Lingxi possessed fourth level Nascent Origin power, yet when concentrating on executing this attack, her power fiercely jumped close to fifth level power!

Moreover, this isn't even mentioning the fact Xiao Yun was a strong fifth level Nascent Origin. And now the beast has to face combine forces of the two?

'BANG!!'

The ground shook from the clash, and as the gibbon got sent flying back, crashing into a rock. It got claw got tore up from the clash, bleeding out profusely. And several bones from its back shatter on impact.

Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Yun stomped on the ground and gathered their energy once again. Their swords gleamed with Nascent essence energy, the wind swirled in a frenzy around them, and their aura increased again.

The gibbon felt this spike in power but before it could even runoff,

'Extreme Wind Slash!!'

Two wind storms with a silhouette of numerous swords blasted to the beast. Desperately the animal tried its best in defending itself, but the Xiao's combined attacks were too high.

The wind storm shredded the gibbon beast, ripping it from the inside out. Once the storm cleared out, what left of the beast was a mangle bloody corpse. A few feet away from the beast, the cousins saw an orange orb fell out of the beast. But they were absolutely stunned from their fight.

Unimaginably fantastic! Both felt their blood pump and senses charge observing the grand attacks the two Xiao's exuded. It has gotten the cousins to wonder when they can achieve such heights!

And during this whole fight, the two ghost girls sensed something far more powerful rapidly approaching them. But once they felt the state the cousins were in, they knew it's now a massive opportunity for them.

"Holy hell! You guys were amazing!" Luke praised while walking over to the Xiao's. Both of them were slightly panting as they exerted themselves a bit to kill the beasts quickly.

"Seriously, it was total domination!" Andrea also praised the two. Xiao Lingxi and Xiao Yun smiled at the praise and still with energy Xiao Lingxi said,

"It was also a major help for you guys to point out the beast so we could plan ahead! We all did great!" Luke was preparing to say something, but suddenly Spooky voiced cut in saying,

'Luke! Are you prepared to test your limit and gain a little something?'

'Wha-'

"GUWARGH!!"

'RUMBLE!!'

Luke and the other three instantly felt their blood run cold. The ground below them violent tremble as what appeared before them was an enormous, black vicious-looking ape.

It towered above even the giant gibbon they just killed as every feature it had was far more menacing than the gibbon—dark black sharp claws, yellowish spike teeth, and blazing red eyes that glared at the four youths.

The most significant thing, however, was this beast far surpassed Xiao Yun aura!

'It's a peak level beast. The perfect sharpening tool for you, Andrea and Xiao Lingxi.' Spooky informed, and despite feeling fear, Luke couldn't dismiss the rising adrenaline inside him!
