Glazing over a massively wide mountain range that exuded a vibrant profoundness was a team of four youths. These four were carefully making their way to this mountain range, making sure they avoided anyone else going.

This would've been a feat hard to accomplish if Xiao Yun and Xiao Lingxi was alone. But! Thanks to two cousins pointing them in the right direction, it was all too easy for them. And while pointing out the right way to go, Luke and Andrea took in the enormous mountain range site.

It was magnificent! Not even looking at beautiful mountain ranges images on their laptops in their world could compare to this sight. The air was rich here, and bright blue streams of water ran down the mountain, further enriching its breathtaking view.

"Eh? Is this range that amazing looking for you, Luke?" Xiao Lingxi asked as she caught Luke's look of wonder at the mountain range. From their chat yesterday, both Xiao's warmed up to Luke by his intriguing mythical stories and his commitment to listening to whatever they have to say.

Of course, the 'mythical stories' Luke told where just childhood fable or other such myths legends from his world. With great assistance from Spooky, he was able to recall these stories quite well to tell them in an exciting manner.

And because such stories or fables doesn't exist in this kind of universe, the Xiao's were all the more willing to hear about. Plus Luke, not being the type of guy to talk much before, was a keen listener, also encouraging for them to speak about whatever they wanted.

This is why Xiao Lingxi would often chat with Luke during this travel, but she was a bit perplexed seeing this awe look. After all, isn't this only another mountain range among many in the world?

"It's one hundred percent is! No matter how many times I look at it, beautiful sights will always get my interest." Luke told with straight passion, getting Xiao Lingxi to giggle and saying sweetly,

"You're a pretty big nature guy Luke! Though, me too! I prefer more quiet calm sights than like the bustling of that town." Before Luke could throw out his next response, Spooky quickly said,

'Be more direct.'

This short and sweet statement changed what Luke had in mind, and he did find Xiao Lingxi attractive, so he blurted out,

"Calm and quiet? Another like enchanting sight to see, and I'm sure seeing you in the middle of such sight would massively add to its beauty!" Perhaps it was because of his upbringing or always being around Andrea, Luke, when he felt like it was the right time, frankly said what was going on in his mind.

He would admit that he didn't know the first thing about flirting or trying to court a girl, but he would rarely if ever, get embarrassed. And with his newfound passion to enjoy this life to its fullest, why would he hesitate on such small things?

And for Luke, because they were slowly becoming friends with each other, Spooky curse smoothly worked in getting Xiao Lingxi to react well at him. It also helps that Luke's looks were slowly getting better as he advanced through levels making him look decently attractive. With a light blush, Xiao Lingxi beamed at Luke happily saying,

"Ehehe~, you just speak whatever on your mind Luke. But! It's certainly not a bad trait this way."

"Ah, I always would just say what's right. Picked up this skill from my skeptic cousin over there. And it works well for me, I must say." Xiao Lingxi's curiosity piqued since already these cousins are different from the norms.

"What other kinds of skeptic skills have you learn then?"

"They're getting along quite swimmingly. By the way, what level of beasts have you and her encounter at this range." Andrea asked as she watched Luke and Xiao Lingxi. Once again, she was surprised by her cousin so effortlessly talking to a beautiful girl like this.

Even with Spooky's curse helping, it can only go so far in becoming actual friends, and Luke seems to have no difficulty with it. Although while everyone else was casual, Xiao Yun was on a slight edge, only talking to Andrea.

He couldn't shake that brief fearful intimidating feeling he had when touching her hand, and it felt like a frightening ghost was peaking at him. It also didn't help that Andrea's hand that was holding on to her sword gleamed a small dark light.

Though he managed to push this slight quivering feeling down answering her with,

"From our first route, all we had was the first level to third level Nascent Origin beasts. And because of it, we're not so lucky at all with finding herbs."

"Heh, that's all, huh? Well, then I think it's about time we show off a little bit since we're here." Andrea confidently said. The four of them had stopped once arriving at the entrance to the mountain range's outer edge.

"To think she would have such weird talents like that...Ah! We really are here. Ok, so what's our next destination?" Xiao Lingxi asked while she awoke from the slight stupor Luke send her on.

'Well, Spooky?'

'Hmmm, Oh? Found several things. And there is only one fourth level beast there. Just go right from here and follow my directions exactly from here out, ok?' Spooky informed Luke. His hand that held his axe shimmered a small blue light while nodding; he told the others,

"Follow my lead, I'll take the first spot and Andy you could get the next one. Oh, yea, there's only one fourth level Nascent Origin beast there, but it won't be a problem, right?" The other three nodded and with a pep in her step Xiao Lingxi flashed Luke a determine smile while saying,

"Yep, no problem. It'll be time for Xiao'er and me to show what we're made of too!"

Because of their fantastic demonstration yesterday and the fact the cousins can so quickly breakthrough, the Xiao's put most of their trust in them. And wasting no further time, Luke lead them by Spooky directions.

"Jeez Luke, how many twists and turns-Ah! It's like a mini garden here!" Xiao Lingxi's voice that began as a whine soon turned into an amazed shout. Minutes pass since Luke started to lead them, and at first, they were only going right until Luke suddenly made all kinds of turns.

He took sharp lefts, random rights, went completely still for a moment, and at times seemingly went backward! But all of it was because Spooky gave all these directions to avoid any other adventures.

Despite some standards being different, Luke wasn't naive enough to not think some powerful group wouldn't attempt to rob them. Furthermore, thanks to the Silver Dragon Mercenary group, there would be many more rouges planted around the range waiting to steal from other groups.

And finally, after a twisting path, the team of four arrived beautiful creak of water in the mountain range. Surrounding the creak was numerous gorgeous blue herbs that reminded Luke and Andrea of thyme looking herbs from their planet.

The only difference is this was vibrant Ground Spirit Grass!

"Before we go collecting, Luke, do you know where that beast is hiding?" Xiao Yun asked since he always wanted to be prepare before doing anything.

'Um, just behind you actually, it's covered by a huge rock. It's preparing to attack.' Spooky told, and quickly Luke pointed behind him to unsuspicious large rock showing the Xiao's,

"Quickly behind that rock, the beast is preparing an ambush!" And like Luke gave it the cue, a snowy white large menacing lion sprang out from behind the rock to the team.

Its speed was alarmingly fast, and if Luke didn't point it out, the beast surely would've gotten the jump on them. Alas, it got destined to fail as Xiao Lingxi reacted quickly, jumping out to the meet beast, a blue light flashing on her finger.

'Chi!'

A beautiful silver short sword made an elegant cut on the lion beast underside. Xiao Lingxi swiftly avoided the beast's sharp piercing claws while also landing a clean strike on it!

It was like a flash in Luke and Andrea's eyes. They couldn't keep up with that quick exchange at all, and when Luke looked over to where Xiao Yun was standing, he had suddenly vanished!

The human and beast landed on the ground but before the creature could even think about charging Xiao Lingxi again,

'Chi!'

Xiao Yun rushed out and drilled long a long sword into its brain, killing it instantly. The lion beast was already injured, and distracted thanks to Xiao Lingxi plus Xiao Yun was also a level higher than the beast.

"That was easy! On our own, that beast surely would've clipped us with its sneaking and speed abilities. You're amazing for finding where the lion was, Luke!" Xiao Lignxi sang a song of praise, making Luke appreciate Spooky all the more. Without her, there was no way things would've been this simple.

"Yes, you're truly astonishing, Luke! Ok, now we have the perfect opportunity to collect these Ground Spirit Grass." Xiao Yun told, and they all began to collect the herb.

Although Luke's mind was a little preoccupied while collecting as he thought about Xiao Lingxi fighting, from what he can recall, the original Xiao Lingxi barely if ever fought in the novel. Furthermore, it took her years to even cultivate to the original True Profound realm, and yet here she seems to have more talent?

Perhaps the fact it wasn't because she had more talent, but it's the same amount of talent only she gotten more stimulated in this verse. Whatever the reason, Luke shook his head since he could only gather the hidden power in her soul had more of an influence on her.

"Luke! You barely collect any herbs at all. Come on, don't be shy now!" His musing about Xiao Lingxi gots cut short as the person herself came over to his face.

Honestly, for Luke and Andrea, who also wasn't collecting many herbs, they didn't need much of this. After all, they were planning to hitch a ride with the Xiao's, and once Luke explained some effects of the herb, Andrea didn't deem it much necessary.

Luke told these herbs could be used for herb refinement to create medicine, create special pills, or even make a poison. The problem was that neither knew the first thing about this field. They had decided to put it off for now until they had a chance to learn about it.

"Eh, don't worry about me now. You can just collect as many herbs as you need. I'm not being overly kind or anything, it's just we don't really have a great need for them. Besides, because of you and Xiao Yun, we are even able to collect these herbs. You were spectacular when fighting, by the way." Luke off handily said while also praising Xiao Lingxi at the end.

"It was a team effort, Luke, remember you're senses are the only reason we're here!" Xiao Lingxi, while also feeling proud at the praise, didn't forget to remind Luke about his participation.

Luke smiled, and he had a nagging thought in his mind he had to ask her,

"I guess we make quite a good team then. And even when fighting, you're still as cheerful as ever. Do you enjoy it?" He wanted to confirm if major characters like her would receive slight changes to their personality and Xiao Lingxi told him,

"Well, not fighting so much, but I more enjoy using my strength to help my friends and family! Me and Xiao'er would always try as much as we can to help a certain friend of ours back at home."

"I see, well, from a girl that radiates kindness, I kind off expected this." The 'friend', it has to be that guy Yuanba, right? If Xiao Yun is here, then it can most likely means Yun Che is safe with his original birth parents since none of the original histories happened. His slight musing was interrupted as Xiao Lingxi stuck small pink tongue at him saying,

"Hmph! Did you expect anything different from me! Oh, hey, you two are done?" Walking back towards them was Xiao Yun, who had a satisfying grin on his grin while Andrea pondered a vital subject.

"We really did strike gold Ling'er. At this rate, we'll have more than enough herbs. I can't thank you enough for this, Luke." Xiao Yun told since everything became a reversal once these cousins tagged along.

"Don't mention it. Say, Andy, what's wrong? Did you find the next patch of herbs?" Luke asked while taking in his cousin pondering face. A face that he was all too familiar with when she had several ideas rummaging through her head.

"Oh, ah, yea! I'll take the lead for the next one. There will be two other fourth level beast at the next one, so don't drop your ball yet." Both Xiao's nodded as Xiao Lingxi stated,

"Just leave it to us, Andrea! With your senses and our prowess, we can't stop here."
