Somewhere in far lands,
“From where did she hear that name? That name…Only I should know that name…No one else should’ve even heard that name in my lands.”
A girl bites her nail off.
~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~
Ryuga sits outside his team’s locker room waiting for them to arrive.
“Yo!”
A familiar person greets Ryuga.
“Kirio, wassup?”
Kirio sits near Ryuga.
“Nothing, just taking a stroll. What about you? Not fighting in your team’s match?”
Kirio asks Ryuga.
“Nah, that match is too easy for them.”
Ryuga says to Kirio.
“It does seem that way…I mean you are not appearing in any of your matches so far.”
Kirio says.
“Yeah, the first match was the obvious loss. The next two were pretty easy to win.”
Ryuga says.
“Anyways, saw your match. You had a pretty easy win. Now you are onto the semi-finals, aren’t you? And then finals…Whoever loses the finals, fights the winner of the loser’s bracket, and then whoever wins that battle fights the winner of the finals right at 12:00 AM. ”
Ryuga says with a smile.
“Yeah, you bet my team had an easy victory and we will be going to the finals, As for you…”
Kirio looked sad.
“Well, it’s not that big of a deal. We still are in this tournament and we are winning the loser’s bracket to defeat you.”
Ryuga says with a smirk.
“You better do, I will be waiting in the finals.”
Kirio says as he gets up.
Ryuga salutes him with two fingers as he leaves.
“RYUGA! WE WON!”
Ellie comes in running towards Ryuga and hugs him as she and the others run past Kirio.
“Hehe…Nice job everyone.”
Ryuga says to everyone.
“Yeah, everything went just like you said and Ellie please back off.”

Jau says with Ellie with a smile of death.
Ellie pouts as she leaves Ryuga.
“What’s with those two?”
“I didn’t expect you to form a strategy that good…You were amazing.”
Mizuki says to Ryuga with a sad tone.
“Thanks, Captain Tachibana…”
Ryuga says with a smile.
Clayton smiles at Ryuga from a distance and Ryuga smiles back.
With that, it was the end of day 1,
Team Deadly Field defeated 2 teams in the loser’s bracket to reach the semi-finals of the loser’s bracket.
While Suzuki High, as well as Noble Fighters, have made it to the semi-finals for the next day.

Some dark place,
“Mizuki Tachibana…Target, Nine-Tailed Fox to be activated during the red moon.”
A female voice says.
“What time should we set up the Red moon?”
A male voice asks.
“midnight, during the final match of this so-called tournament.”
The female voice orders.
“Any major threats?”
The male voice asks.
“You don’t need to worry about that, our other agents will be taking care of them while we take The Nine-Tailed Fox under our control.”
The female voice says.
“Understood.”

Ryuga and the others are resting in a hotel near the stadium. He takes a bath and takes a can of hot milk from a vending machine with him as he sits in the lounge in his bathrobe.
“You are Aragi Ryuga, aren’t you?”
The Hidden Blademaster who had come to get a juice from the vending machine says.
“Apple juice?”
Ryuga asks The Hidden Blademaster.
“I like it.”
The Hidden Blademaster sits in front of Ryuga’s sofa.
“Nice.”
Ryuga says as he drinks his milk.
“You used a dark elf sword style during that first match of the tournament.”

Ryuga says.
“Yeah, my master is a dark elf. She taught me that technique.”
Ryuga says as he drinks the hot milk.
“I see.”
The Hidden Blademaster says.
“You are the S-Rank Hero, The Hidden Blademaster, aren’t you?”
Ryuga asks.
The Hidden Blademaster nods.
“Why the name The Hidden Blademaster? You aren’t hiding or anything like that.”
Ryuga asks The Hidden Blademaster.
“Well, it’s because nobody has been able to make me unleash my true sword form.”
The Hidden Blademaster says.
“They say any blade, form, or style I touch, I can master it but nobody has seen me use my true fighting style.”
The Hidden Blademaster says.
“Is that true?”
Ryuga asks The Hidden Blademaster.
The Hidden Blademaster chuckles,
“I wish that was true.”
The Hidden Blademaster says.
“I don’t have my own style of fighting. My ability, Frame Perfect, helps me capture all of my opponent’s movements and memorize them forever in my head. That’s the reason why I know so many fighting styles.”
The Hidden Blademaster says.
“So that’s your secret, huh?”
Ryuga asks with a smile.
The Hidden Blademaster nods.
Suddenly, the Hidden Blademaster looked at Ryuga,
“I heard you had no limiters.”
The Hidden Blademaster says.
“Yeah, I have no limiters.”
Ryuga says.
“So, why…Why did you choose this life?”
The Hidden Blademaster asks.
“I am guessing you are asking me this question because you were forced to choose this life, right?”
Ryuga asks The Hidden Blademaster.
The Hidden Blademaster looked shocked.
“I won’t ask you about it but, I chose this life because I wanted to protect people…People that are important to me. I know my mother is Madman and everything and she’s super strong and can protect everyone but…What will happen if ever my mother dies? What if there is a day in my life, I couldn’t save her because I was not strong? What if my friends died because I was not strong? I know, it’s not my obligation to save my friends and mother if I don’t want to but in case everything happened in front of me and I couldn’t do anything…Just like that time, I will lose myself…”
Ryuga says as he looks at Alicia.
Alicia suddenly looked flustered.
“Ryuga…”
“I see, so master finds it important to protect his friends and family. I can understand why he needs my power. For that kind of cause, I will always lend you, my power master.”
Kil says with a smile.
The Hidden Blademaster gates and throws her can in the trash,
“I will go get some sleep. It’s an early morning semi-final tomorrow.”
The Hidden Blademaster says as she begins to head to her room but before she goes to her room she turns around,
“By the way, my name is Grou’Tha Shwazak. I will see you tomorrow.”
The Hidden Blademaster leaves.
“Grou…Tha…Sh…GUUUH!”
Ryuga gets frustrated.
“I am just going to call her just Grou. Grou? Jau? Kil? I have people with weird names in my life.”

The Girl from the Mountain
Alexandra Bedford is a weapon, a young woman with telekinetic powers capable of leveling entire cities, born to fight in the desolate remains of post-apocalyptic North America. There is only one problem: she may be losing control of her abilities. Sixteen years after a global pandemic devastated the earth’s population, the lines in the old United States have been drawn between the Cheyenne Directorate in Colorado and the New England Alliance on the East Coast. The Directorate, of which Alexandra is a part, is a small but powerful organization dedicated to returning the country to its former glory. However, when a diplomatic mission to the New England Alliance goes wrong, Alexandra finds herself at the center of a bloody civil war. Battles are fought on the old highways and in dilapidated towns and once-great cities. And as the conflict escalates, all of North America faces the threat of being burnt away by nuclear fire. Against this backdrop of war, Alexandra tries to uncover the long-hidden secrets behind the plague, her abilities, and the two men fighting to decide the fate of the United States - Henry Bedford, Alexandra's father and leader of the Directorate, and John Martin, the mysterious figure at the heart of the New England Alliance who may hold the key to everything she seeks. None of this will matter, however, unless Alexandra can prevent the power growing inside her from taking over and consuming the very world she is fighting to save. Author's Notes: I appreciate you taking a look at my novel, The Girl from the Mountain. If you're a fan of post-apocalyptic fiction, military thrillers, and/or cosmic horror, I think you'll enjoy this story. I completed the novel's first draft back in 2011 and made significant changes in 2016. Since then, I've more-or-less sat on the manuscript while working on other projects. Thanks to a bit of prodding, I've decided to send this story out into the wild with some touch-ups and additional revisions. I welcome any comments or criticisms, and I hope you enjoy The Girl from the Mountain!
