With only a minute and a half left on the clock, Ryuga wasn’t in the best shape. He was pretty injured and had used up a lot of time he had to use pure chi. At most, Ryuga could activate and deactivate pure chi about 3 to 4 more times.

“You really think that you can win against me, just because you can use pure mana?!”

Suddenly, Myra teleports in front of Ryuga again and attacks him. Ryuga blocks the attack by activating pure chi.

He deactivates pure chi again and kicks Myra but instead, Myra catches his leg.

“Nice try.”

Myra catches Ryuga’s leg and throws him to the other side of the room.

Ryuga stands back up.

“I got this…I got this…”

Ryuga is looking at Myra who is teleporting all over the place.

“What’s the matter, Ryuga?! Can’t keep up with me?! Huh?! I thought so you said you were going to defeat me. You still have to survive for another minute or so. If you can’t keep up with my speed you can never defeat me!”

Myra says with a smile.

Lucifer smiles.

“What’s the matter, Headmaster?”

Mizuki asks Lucifer.

“Why do I feel that even if Ryuga loses this battle, he has won it?”

Lucifer smiles.

Someone chuckles behind everyone.

“Oh hey, it’s you Kusata. Come to meet, Myra?”

Lucifer looks behind at a boy who seems to be in his early 20s.

The boy wears a leather jacket over a red t-shirt and black pants. He also has half-bleached hair, which makes him look almost like a punk. He also has a pair of fingerless biker gloves.

“More like I came here to watch the fight.”

The boy that Lucifer called Kusata says.

“You knew that there was a fight that was happening?”

Lucifer asked Kusata.

“Oh, that youngling didn’t tell you, Headmaster Lucifer?”

A girl who was around Kusata’s age comes in.

She has long black hair and has a lot of makeup on her face. She also wears a red dress and heels.

“Eina?! No way! Is that you?! What the hell?!”

Mizuki looked surprised.

“Oh, hey Mizuki darling, how’s everything been?!”

Eina asks Mizuki.

“Who are those two?”

Ellie asks Kirio.

“That guy is Hojo Kusata, he is said to be the descendent of the famous Hojo Clan. The girl is his wife and a daughter to a famous English Billionaire, she used to be known as Eina Woods but now she is known as Hojo Eina.”

Kirio explains their identity.

“Man, I hate to wake up early in the morning.”

Another girl comes in. She yawns. She seems to be a little younger than Eina and Kusata.

She has pointy ears and long blonde hair. Her face is almost matching that of Myra but there are minor differences.

“Now who is she?!”

Ellie asks.

“That’s Myra’s Niece…Miya”

Lucifer says.

“Man, that boy seriously woke me up so early on.”

Lucifer looks back at Ryuga.

“Don’t worry Headmaster Lucifer, there is more coming.”

Eina says.

“What?!”

Lucifer looked quite surprised.

“Yo, Headmaster, how many years has it been? 7 or 8?”

A bald boy enters the room.

“Shuichi?!”

Lucifer looked surprised at another arrival.

“Where’s that boy now?!”

An angry Orc girl enters the room.

She had big teeth that grew out from her mouth and were visible. She also was quite muscular and it looked like she was capable of taking down almost everyone in the room.

“Helga?! What the hell?!”

Another surprise occurred to Lucifer.

“Umm…Can someone explain to me what is happening?!”

Mizuki asks.

As Mizuki asked for an explanation about 5 more people appeared.

“Kanta! Lowe! Ganjo! Eria! Shizu!”

Lucifer took the name of the two boys Kanta and Ganjo as well as the three girls, Lowe, Eria, and Shizu.

“Who are they now?!”

Ellie gets even more confused.

“I only know Kusata and Eina.”

Mizuki says with a confused face.

“Same…”

Kirio says.

“They are all…The survivors of the incident that occurred 7 years ago.”

Lucifer says.

“What?!”

Kirio and Ellie looked confused but Jau and Mizuki already knew what that incident was.

“Well, yesterday night that boy called us all I guess.”

Eria says.

“Yes, I was surprised by things he said.”

Kusata laughs.

“All he said to me was that he wanted to make Miss Myra happy. How could I have denied that now?”

Shizu says with a smile and a soft voice.

“Indeed, for a warrior like Miss Myra, I would come to this academy any day.”

Helga says.

“Yeah, she is the reason why we keep visiting this academy.”

Eina says with a smile.

“I need to do something, I will be back.”

Miya says and leaves the room.

“Ummm…What the hell?!”

Ryuga takes a defensive stance as he keeps an eye out for Myra.

“I got you!”

Myra catches Ryuga from the back. Ryuga activates his pure mana. Myra missed her punch.

Myra smirks,

“I knew you would do that, so I missed that punch on purpose.”

Myra punches Ryuga’s guts.

“Guh-“

The punch sends him flying to the other side.

“Is Aragi Ryuga there in the training room, is Aragi Ryuga there in the training room?”

A voice of a girl is heard throughout the training room.

Ryuga smiles,

“Took you long enough.”

Ryuga says.

“I would like you to beat my aunt, Aragi Ryuga. She has held her feelings up for too long now. Please free her from all her feelings.”

The voice of the girl says.

“Miya?! Why is she here?!”

Myra looked surprised.

“There is more.”

Ryuga points at the window where the others are watching the battle from.

Ryuga looks to be quite tired.

“What are you planning?”

Myra asks Ryuga.

“Nothing really…I just wanted to show you. There other things in this world that are more important than your number 1 student.”

Ryuga says with a smile.

“I know, he was your favorite of the bunch and I know that he died in that incident. I don’t know what happened 7 years ago but…Even if he died, even if you think you weren’t able to protect him, don’t you feel like you should PROTECT THE THINGS THAT ARE PRECIOUS TO YOU AND RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU?!”

Ryuga screams at Myra.

“DON’T GO ON RAMBLING ABOUT THINGS PRECIOUS TO YOU WHEN YOU DON’T KNOW A THING ABOUT LOSING SOMEONE!!!”

Myra screams at Ryuga.

Ryuga chuckles,

“What’s so funny?!”

Myra looked quite angry.

“You know…5 months ago, I couldn’t protect someone. Someone who was a total stranger but, she called me her friend. One moment, she thanked me for saving her, and the next…She was killed by a person who I knew…”

Ryuga laughed.

“What’s more tragic? You losing someone precious to you or me, who saved someone and yet lost them…To someone who you knew.”

Ryuga held Myra by her shoulders,

“I don’t want that again, I don’t want to lose anyone ever again! I want to save people. I WANT THE POWER TO SAVE PEOPLE!”

Ryuga screamed as loud as he could.

“Lucifer, she was right…Without my large mana capacity, I am trash. Today, when I don’t have that large mana capacity, I don’t have the strength to fight back. That is why, I want you to train me. I want to strong enough to fight without limiters. I want to save people-“

Myra holds Ryuga’s hand.

“I already told you, I don’t take students anymore.”

And takes them off her shoulders.

“I see…”

Ryuga gives a sad smile.

Myra was about to punch Ryuga in his gut to knock him unconscious.

That’s when Ryuga held the necklace out.

“Here, this is what you want, right?”

~On The Other Side Of The Window~

“What is Ryuga doing?!”

Kirio asks.

“He is giving up?!”

Eina looks disappointed.

“He fought had to just fight for another 30 seconds. Why couldn’t he just hold out until then?!”

Jau looks quite disappointed.

Ellie sighs,

“That’s just a Ryuga thing to do.”

While everyone looked disappointed at Ryuga’s action, a certain someone had tears gushing down their right cheek.

“Mizuki darling, what’s wrong?!”

Eina asked Mizuki who seemed like she was crying.

“What?! I don’t know I…Why?!

Mizuki looked surprised at herself.

“Wait! Isn’t that boy crying as well?!”

Shuichi asks as he points at Ryuga.

“But isn’t he smiling?!”

Helga asks as she looks at Ryuga who is smiling with tears gushing down his cheeks.

~In The Training Room~

“What the hell are you doing?!”

Myra asks Ryuga.

“I can’t hold onto things that are precious to another person.”

Ryuga says with a smile.

“But…Didn’t you…Didn’t you take this so that you can challenge me to a duel and become my student?!”

Myra asks Ryuga.

Ryuga laughs,

“That’s only because I thought that I might change your mind but I guess, I was expecting a little too much.”

Ryuga says with a sad smile.

“What are you saying?!”

Myra asks Ryuga.

“You see, I don’t want to be accepted by a teacher who would half-heartedly teach me. I want a teacher who would be willing to teach me with all their will. I want a teacher who can focus on me. I want a teacher with whom I can talk, smile, and fight over silly things. I don’t only want a teacher, I want a friend. Just like Akuma Jin.”

Ryuga says with a sad smile whispering the last line about Akuma Jin.

But the line that hit Myra was, “I don’t only want a teacher, I want a friend.”

About Seven Years Ago,

Myra said something similar to the student she misses today.

“I don’t need teachers. I will be strong all by myself!”

That student once said to her.

Myra sighed and replied,

“How about this, you don’t need teachers to be strong but how about, a friend. You will obviously need friends to be strong, so I will be your friend, how about it?!”

~The Present Day~

Myra took the necklace from Ryuga’s hand as Ryuga slowly felt past her and onto the ground.

“RYUGA!”

Jau quickly rushes to his aid along with Kirio and Ellie.

Lucifer sighs,

“He exhausted himself a little too much.”

Lucifer says with a smile.

“Sometimes, I don’t understand it Kaori. Are you a devil in disguise or an angel? How can you make a son that has such devilish ideas and yet…He is such a kind person.”

Lucifer sighs but she gives a sad smile.

After the battle was done and dusted, everyone left and Ryuga was taken to the infirmary.

As everyone left, Clayton and Lucifer were the last remaining people in the room.

“You need something, Clayton?”

Lucifer asks Clayton.

“With all respect, Queen Lucifer, I came to know a lot about Ryuga while I was investigating about him. One of the vital information I got was that he fought an Ogre called Alicia Arkwet. He defeated her and Alicia Arkwet was an S-Rank hero who was almost as strong as an SS-Rank hero was. Isn’t it weird that all of a sudden, he became so weak that he couldn’t even fight Ryan Arkwet and even Akuma Jin?”

Clayton asks Lucifer.

“What are you getting at, Clayton?”

Lucifer asks Clayton.

“I want to know, Queen Lucifer, what happened to Ryuga the night the Ogre Alicia Arkwet was killed?”

Clayton asks Lucifer.
