《Ghost World Academia》37-Weak

Outside the mansion, “Man, Lucifer, your number one choice wouldn’t have won even if he had such a high mana capacity.” Isa says to Lucifer. Lucifer doesn’t have anything to say. “My offer still stands Lucifer. Become my wife and I will spare that useless child and his friends or else they all will die.” Alucard says to Lucifer with a smirk. “For almost 30 years, you have been chasing me, Alucard. So, you should know better than anyone, I don’t bet on useless things.” Lucifer doesn’t show any intent to give up, “That person who you are calling useless, is someone you will someday bow your head down to. Mark my words.” Lucifer says with a smile. “Such a bold statement. You think, I, Alucard will bow my head down to that person?” Alucard looked quite annoyed. “So, be it, if that’s how it is, I will make sure even if his comrades survive, he will die.” Alucard says as he looks at the match. “And what if he wins against your son?” Lucifer asks. “Then, of course, he is free to leave the Land of Vampires along with my daughter.” Alucard states. Everyone witnessed it.
Inside the mansion, on the first floor, “Phew! Seriously though, that angel gave us a lot of trouble.” Both Kirio and Clayton are resting side by side. “Yeah, that was one strong Angel.” Kirio smiled. Jau, Mearid, Gordon, Morgan, and Ellie made their way to the first floor. “It seems that Ellie was safely escorted.” Kirio gets back up as Jau and others, run towards Kirio and Clayton. “Nice to see that you guys are fine, Jau-Unfurn, Ogre Chief, Ellie, Gordon, and…Who is that guy?” Kirio points at Morgan. “That’s my brother, don’t mind him.” Gordon says to Kirio with a creepy smile. “Dude…Can you give a normal smile at least once…” Kirio felt a chill going up his spine. “Anyways, let’s get out of here-“
“Weak! Weak! Weak! Weak! YOU ALL ARE FUCKING WEAK!” Suddenly, a massive amount of mana started to get a leak. “What the fuck dude?! I am sure we pierced his heart! How in the fucking hell is he still alive?!” Kirio looked shocked as he saw Gabriel stand back up and his body regenerating.

Outside the mansion, “Both angels and demons have seven hearts in total. Each of them symbolizing their heavenly virtues for angels and deadly sins for demons.” Lucifer explains. “How many hearts have you lose Lucifer?” Bin asks Lucifer. “None! After all, I am the most powerful demon to ever exist.” Lucifer says to Bin with a smirk. “Indeed, there is no stronger demon that I have seen other than Madam Lucifer.” Erina says with a smile.
Inside the mansion, “Little Jau, can you kill him?” Mearid asks Jau. “Kill him? I can kill him but Ryuga will be angry if I kill someone…” Jau says to Mearid her horn starts to glow in light pink color. Everyone sighs. “It’s alright to go berserk now Little Jau, no one will complain about you killing this guy to Ryuga.” Mearid says to Jau. “Hmm? Wait…You guys seriously want me to go all out on that guy?!” Jau pouted as her horn went red. “Are you all seriously that weak?!” Jau asked everyone. “Actually, we all are pretty exhausted.” Kirio says. “I am not exhausted but I don’t feel like using my strength to defeat that guy because I feel like my strength will be needed somewhere else.” Mearid says. Jau sighs. “Whatever, just don’t tell Ryuga about this, okay?!” Jau looks at everyone as her horn showed dark color. “Alright!” Everyone form a formation and say together.
~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~
Inside the mansion, on the sixth floor, “RYUGA!” Ryuga got kicked into a wall by Dust. Alicia looked quite concerned with Ryuga’s state. He didn’t look like he was having the best of time fighting Dust. Ryuga got back up and wiped out the blood that was leaking down his lips. “It’s a surprise that you didn’t say anything yet. Normally, all the guys I fight always seem like they only talk. But you are different, you don’t speak a lot.” Dust says to Ryuga. “I don’t believe in talking while fighting policy.” Ryuga says to Dust. “THAT’S HOW I LIKE IT!” Dust suddenly appears in front of Ryuga and punches his face into the ground. “RYUGA! RUN AWAY RYUGA! YOU CAN’T WIN AGAINST THAT GUY! JUST RUN AWAY!” Alicia screams and screams but Ryuga didn’t seem to follow Alicia’s advice. In fact, he just got back up again.

“IDIOT! We have rescued Ellie, we can now run away. You don’t need to fight him! Don’t you understand?!” As Alicia was trying to explain to Ryuga the situation she realized something. It was the determination in Ryuga’s eyes. Even if the situation looked pretty bad, Ryuga seemed to be quite calm. It was almost as if he was analyzing the situation.
“You just keep on getting back up. You know, this is getting boring, so how about I just end this?” Dust looked quite disappointed. Ryuga took a deep breath. “He will now use your second key because he got bored of fighting me.” Ryuga whispers. “That means, his second key ability must be attacking. He’s limiter ability being the defensive one.” Ryuga keeps on whispering to himself. “Ryuga…All this time, he wasn’t just getting beaten up for no reason. But how will this help him?” Alicia looked quite confused.
Dust suddenly appears in front of Ryuga once again, “No…His Second Key ability isn’t an attacking ability. Rather, it’s an agility ability. Super speed. That’s the reason why my eyes couldn’t keep up with his speed. It’s because his Second Key ability helps him go faster than light.” Dust sends Ryuga flying into the wall with a kick while he was analyzing the situation. Then, he drags Ryuga into that wall and smashes him to the wall next to the door to the next room. “Ryuga…” Alicia looked concerned.
~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~
Outside the mansion, “It seems that the battle on the sixth floor is over.” Alucard sighs. “How about floor number-“ Alucard couldn’t believe his eyes. He didn’t expect that kind of battle outcome on the first floor.
“Hey…Can I ask you something Ogre chief?” Kirio asks Mearid. “Go ahead.” Mearid says to Kirio. “What kind of monster is Jau-Unfurn? She literally smashed that guy’s heart six times in a row.” Kirio asks Mearid. “You don’t know?” Mearid asks Kirio. “Know what?” Kirio asks Mearid. Mearid sighs. “Our little Jau is an SS-rank hero, her hero name is Powerhouse Idol.” Mearid says to Kirio. “Eh? SS-rank? So…Even stronger than Bleeds?!” Mearid asks Kirio. “Indeed, she might be one of the strongest Ogres to be alive. Even stronger than me.” Mearid says to Kirio. “But she is too sensitive, that’s the reason why she is never seen doing hero business a lot. In fact, since last year, her rank actually dropped in the SS rankings. After all, she stopped doing hero business since that incident.” Mearid says. “What incident?” Kirio looked quite confused. “It’s nothing…” Mearid denies he said anything with a nervous smile.
Everyone on the first floor makes it out of the mansion, Mearid gives Kirio the mask he had bought for Ryuga. Erina smiles, “It seems that the people who were escorting Ellie have made it out here.” Erina says to Alucard. “I know but it’s still not over, there is still one of our people left. They haven’t defeated everyone.” Alucard says.
“We made it out here Alucard, does this mean that your daughter is safe now?!” Mearid asks Alucard. “This battle is still not over.” The window of the top floor of the mansion breaks down along with the wall and Ryuga is falling at a heavy speed. “RYUGA!” Jau was straight away going to save Ryuga. “Stop right there, Ogre!” Lucifer stops her. “What?!” Jau looked confused. “He will be fine, just watch!” Lucifer says.
~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~
As Ryuga falls to his death everyone watches him. “I will have to-“ Before Jau could say anything, Lucifer stops her. “DON’T! THIS IS HIS FIGHT! HE WILL DEAL WITH IT!” Lucifer angrily scolds Jau. “What if he dies?!” Jau angrily asks Lucifer. “He won’t! Trust him would you?!” Lucifer asks Jau to trust in Ryuga as he falls to the ground which would a death for any normal human but Ryuga…Wasn’t normal. “I think so too…Ryuga will be safe.” Ellie says with a smile.

Synergy
Dear Inspector, Please accept this letter as my formal resignation from being a Player. Hey! Laugh all you want, but I had to try. With no rules down here, who's to say that I can't resign? Anyway, my reasons are simple: I'm neither a gamer nor a hero. You got the wrong person for the job. Sure, the pay is decent and I could pretty much live like a king if, you know, I wasn't so busy trying to survive. I have major concerns about the demonic dagger bound to my soul too. Come to think of it, I've never asked to be transported to this fantasy land either and would like you to return me home, thank you very much. I don't want supernatural powers, I don't want to complete quests after quests, and I don't want to be your test subject anymore. What? I'm not whining, you're whining. Stop making excuses and let me leave already. Thank you for your understanding, and I hope you'll find a better replacement after I'm gone for good. Sincerely,Randel, the Mad Painter What to expect from Synergy: --> Some GameLit elements are presented subversively. If you want the protagonist to “play the game” properly, this might not be the story for you.--> No filler chapters; the story's structure is already plotted out. It's going to have six story arcs.--> Character development happens slowly, over many chapters. Don't expect a perfect protagonist right off the bat.--> Some romance, but it will never be the main focus.--> Humor and dark elements in equal measure, but not to the extent that I’d label this story as “Comedy” or “Grimdark”. ... and lots and lots of Author's Notes. See you on the other side of the portal!

Demons Don't Lie
Algier, average human and recent convict, has committed the gravest sin of all: demon slaying. His fate? To participate in the Culling, a battle-royale style tournament that’s televised live to the world, where all the worst criminals go to die. As with all tournaments, a prize is on the line. If Algier survives, he can have any wish granted by the Marquises, the new rulers of Earth following the demons’ invasion. However, there’s little hope for survival in a tournament designed to have demons do the work of the executioner, especially for a human. Demons are stronger, faster, wiser, and more talented than the average human, and, despite his crime, Algier is no demon hunter. Mentally defeated before the tournament even begins, Algier is torn between becoming another demon’s points and fighting on in his dead mother’s legacy. But should he choose to fight, there is one advantage that Algier has that can tip the odds in his favour: Demons don’t lie, but humans can. How to read this story Demons Don't Lie is written from the perspective of an unreliable (lying) narrator. There are many inconsistencies within the story which are placed there intentionally. It's up to the reader to decide what is the truth and what is the lie. Promotion Full quality cover image
