(I still remember that day, about two years ago when I met that person. The new recruit who wore glasses and had long black hairs)

“Shit, I am gonna be late! Ahhh! Mother’s going to kill me!” A young boy ran as quickly as possible. It looked like he was in quite a hurry.

Unfortunately, the boy had to stop running, he stopped and looked at a huge crowd in front of him and he sign that walking or running past here was banned. It looked like a crime scene. The young boy walked forward to take a look. He had pushed quite a lot of crowd to move forward.

The boy looked around and thought why was such a simple murder scene not solved yet. He noticed that a guy was being questioned and a car was parked nearby. The young boy didn’t know why the police were bought in if this was an accident. “Apparently, that man they are questioning was the one who caused this accident.”

The young boy looked at a girl who had long black hair and glasses, he walked towards that girl to question her, “Excuse me miss, can you tell me, why they are questioning that guy if it was an accident?” The young boy asked as he pointed towards the officers questioning the guy that was caught. The girl sighed and looked at the young boy, “You know, just procedures.” The girl said to the young boy.

“Is that so? But if it’s just procedure I am sure that we would have no problems passing by, right? You can always question the guy later and preserve the body inside a morgue or something.” The young boy said to the girl. “Listen, boy, I seriously don’t like kids who nag adults like us, especially, an officer who had been told to guard this place. So, would you kindly piss off?!” The girl said to the young boy.

“You don’t look that older than me Miss. Plus, my name is not kid, my name is Ryuga Aragi.” The young boy says as he moves inside the taped crime scene. “Huh?! Kid! You must get back here.” The girl with glasses stops Ryuga by pulling his shirt. “Tsch! What’s with you?! I need to get home! Or else mother will be seriously pissed off!” Ryuga tried to argue with the girl with glasses but it doesn’t work since the girl replies with, “I have a brother of about your age, I never get pissed at him because he comes home late.” Ryuga sighed and he had a convincing reply to the girl with glasses, “That’s cause you spoil him. My mother doesn’t spoil me.” Ryuga answered.

“Is that so?!” Ryuga’s words hurt the girl with glasses but she doesn’t show it on her face. “Anyways, I need to get home.” Ryuga said as he continued moving. “STOP WOULD YOU?!” An officer overheard the commotion that Ryuga and the girl with glasses were creating. “What’s the matter, new recruit?!” The officer looked like he was quite old but he was only around his mid 20's and had a huge scar on his eyes. He also had this cold look and a tough voice.

“Sir!” The girl with glasses saluted the officer, “This young boy is trying to get past the crime scene.” The girl said to the officer. “Tsch! Can’t even handle a little guy, you truly are a new recruit as a whole. I don’t know why they decided sending you to my department would have been a good idea.” The officer seems to be pissed off at the girl. Ryuga walks past both of them. “Oi! Where do you think you are going, kid?!” The officer stops Ryuga with sheer force. “I am going home, officer.” Ryuga said with a calm tone. The officer was quite surprised by Ryuga’s composure considering the officer was quite intimidating.

“Listen, boy, wait for another 10-15 minutes. It won’t take long. We will clear the streets and you will be home in no time. We were just informed by someone that a murder took place here but there was no murder here apparently, it was just an accident.” The old officer said to Ryuga. “Hmm? Accident? Are you sure about that officer? From what I see, this is clearly a murder.” Ryuga said to the officer. The officer began to sweat, “What are you talking about?”

(Sweat, his playing with his fingers and avoiding eye contact with me, what in the world are you hiding, mister old officer?)

“Sir, the road is cleared!” Another officer says to the old intimidating officer. “Yeah, you are free to go now, everyone.” The old intimidating officer commands everyone. The whole crowd passed by Ryuga as he kept on staring at the old intimidating officer.

“Aight, that’s all for today, time to home finally!” The girl with glasses packed her things in the trunk of cars. She walks up to her front door and opens it to get in. She gets in and starts the car. “Follow your senior’s car,” Ryuga says to the girl as the girl jumps from getting scared of Ryuga’s voice and hits her head. “Che! Che! Che! Che! That hurt!” The girl with glasses soothes her head.

“How the hell did you get in my car kid?!” The girl with glasses freaks out as she looks at Ryuga who is sitting there just staring at him. “That car, please.” Ryuga points at the intimidating officer’s car. “Why should I follow officer Yoshiro?!” The girl with glasses looks at Ryuga who seems to be quite serious. She has second thoughts at the same time, she thinks that Ryuga is just a kid and doesn’t know much about things.

Ryuga realized that the girl isn’t going to follow the car unless he gives her a good reason. He sighs and then asks the girl a question, “You might have noticed it as well, right?” Ryuga asked the girl. She looked quite confused. “There was a stab wound on the body.” Ryuga said. “When I went a little further and that officer Yoshiro stopped me, I saw that stab wound.” Ryuga continued. “I don’t believe a stab wound would come from an accident. I think even you can understand that much.” Ryuga ended his explanation. “Wow, for a kid you are quite intelligent.” The girl with glasses was quite surprised.

(Wait...Does she think that I am like a 10-year old or something? Like seriously, I am 14 dude, please don’t think of me as a kid...)

“Anyways, are you going to follow him or not?” Ryuga asked the girl with glasses. “Fine, fine! As you wish.” The girl with glasses says in an irritated tone. “Why do I have to take orders from someone in middle school?” The girl with glasses says with an irritated pout.

“Anyways, what’s your name?” Ryuga asks the girl with glasses. “My name is Amaya.” The girl with glasses replies and then asks Ryuga, “Your name is Ryuga, right?” Ryuga nods. “Isn’t it getting too late for you? Why are you here?!” Amaya asks Ryuga. “That’s fine! I will tell mother I was on a date with a police officer.” Ryuga shows a thumbs up. “Huh?! What kind of excuse is that?!” Amaya looks confused. “Where do you stay? I will drop you after this chase is completed.” Amaya says to Ryuga. “Chiraya district. I stay 10 minutes away from the main park of Chiraya district near road 11.” Ryuga says to Amaya. “I see, you stay close to me.” Amaya says. “Hmm? Where do you stay?” Ryuga asks Amaya. “Kolchi district, pretty close to you, right?” Amaya says. “If you stay at Kolchi district then why do you not work at the police station at Hiroyama district? Wouldn’t it be easier for you to travel?” Ryuga asked Amaya. “Ah, that...Umm...There is a guy I like who works here, that’s why.” Amaya says as she blushes. “Who is it?” Ryuga asks Amaya. “The person we are chasing...” Amaya looks like she will burst from embarrassment.

“Why are you chasing him then? Don’t you think not chasing him would be a good idea?” Ryuga asks Amaya. “Of course, but I want to prove to you as well that you are wrong about that person. So I will show you that he isn’t a criminal like you think.” Amaya smiles as she drives. “Tsch! Problems with girls in love.” Ryuga says as he looks irritated. Amaya chuckles, “You will understand when you fall in love.” Amaya says to Ryuga.

“Anyways, what makes officer Yoshiro suspicious?” Amaya asks Ryuga. “Are you an idiot or what?” Ryuga questions Amaya. “Huh?! What the heck are you talking about?!” Amaya looks quite irritated by Ryuga’s tone. “I asked him in front of you whether this was a murder or an accident and he clearly replied it was an accident.” Ryuga replied to the irritated Amaya. “That clearly makes him suspicious.” Ryuga says.

Yoshiro stops the car near the old warehouse. “Oi, oi, why is Officer Yoshiro going in that weird warehouse?!” Amaya stopped her car near the old warehouse where Yoshiro stopped the car. “Ryuga-“ Ryuga had disappeared from the backseat leaving the door open.

“There is a small hole over here if I remember correctly.” Ryuga said as he entered inside the warehouse via a small hole that was carved behind the warehouse. “I never expected a kid like you to figure this out so quickly.” Suddenly, as Yoshiro said that to Ryuga, Ryuga was hit with a steel pipe on his head knocking him unconscious. “Hey Yoshiro, what should we do with your woman?” A familiar voice asked Yoshiro as held an unconscious Amaya. “She’s not my woman. As for what we can do, erase her memory Mister Arkwet.” Yoshiro says to the familiar figure. “That’s fine by me but I haven’t my second key yet so her memories of today won’t be completely erased.” Ryan says to Yoshiro. “That’s fine. Even if it’s parts, she will have a hard time remembering what happened today. As for this boy...” Yoshiro smirks, “I believe he is a healthy boy, his organs might sell for quite a good price.” Yoshiro says. “Alright, I will use my second key on her then. You take care of that boy until I find someone from the black market to sell his organs to.” Ryan says to Yoshiro. “Understood, Mister Arkwet.” Yoshiro says to Ryan as he leaves with Amaya.

(My name is Amaya, Amaya Dakai. I am a new recruit for the Ichikanta Police Station. I graduated just a few days ago.)

“I should most probably use a different perfume today.”

(I have been in love for quite some time with my training partner, Yoshiro Kaizen. He was also my senior at the academy and now he trains with me at the police station during free time.)

“Oi Gorilla woman! I am still waiting for breakfast!”

(Oh right! I have a brother as well, he is unimportant to me though. Just kidding, hehe! He is my only family and I cherish him but he is such a weakfish that I need to always protect him in case something happens to him.

It just happens to be that he calls me a Gorilla woman because of my intimidating strength. What an insult that is to me. Just because I am stronger than him why does he need to call me that? Yeah, he can’t defeat me in anything. Even when it comes to love I am light years ahead of him.)

“Since it’s a holiday for you, take care of the house.”

“Yeah, you take care of yourself as well, Gorilla woman.”

“Sure, sure.”

(It’s another day at the police station. I wonder if Officer Yoshiro will notice me. I really get happy whenever he notices me. I believe I am the only one who knows him better than anyone. I believe that no one can be better than me for him.)

“Miss Dakai, there is a woman here. She says she wants to meet you specifically to lodge a complaint.”

“On my way.”

(A complaint that only I can hear? I wonder what kind of complaint is it going to be? A robbery or maybe it’s a woman, so maybe it’s possible that it’s some kind of accusation. Anyways, I will just write it down because I believe she might not hold any strong points to hold a complaint and that case most probably won’t pass.)

Amaya sat in front of a woman who looks to be quite young. “Are you Amaya, the police officer Amaya?” The woman asked Amaya. Yoshiro who sat just across Amaya was also keeping an eye on her.

“Miss Amaya Dakai, that’s your name, isn’t it?” The woman asked Amaya. “That’s me...” Amaya looked quite confused. “What the fuck did you do to my son?” The woman asked Amaya. “What?!” Amaya looked even more confused. “You were with my son up until yesterday at 9 pm. Suddenly, my son’s phone connection went off near some abandoned warehouse. When I found his phone, all it said was, find The Police Officer Amaya, she will know my location.” Suddenly, the woman in front of Amaya was consumed with rage, “SO WHERE IS MY SON?!” The whole office felt a sudden pain in their heart from just the woman’s pure anger.

(What is this woman talking about?! I was with her son?! Is she kidding me?! Where did she get that idea?! I would be with no man except Yoshiro. How can she casually say that to me?!)

Yoshiro walked up to the woman, “Mam, you can lodge a compl-“ Before Yoshiro could say anything to the woman she gave Yoshiro an angry stare, “I am talking to Amaya Dakai, so please fuck off!” Amaya said to Yoshiro. “Mam, please refrain from using such language against our officers. If you want to find your son, then please lodge a complaint and we will find your son.” Amaya said to the woman.

“Fine, Miss Amaya Dakai. If that’s how you want to play then be it. My name is Kaori Aragi, my son’s name is Ryuga Aragi, and here is his photo.” The woman presents Amaya Ryuga’s photo. Suddenly, Amaya’s head starts to hurl as if she is missing something.

(This boy...Why does he look so familiar?)

“I will even give you my son’s phone but remember this Amaya Dakai. I know you have a brother. I know his name is Kirio Dakai. I even know about your friends, your crush, your relatives, I know everything about you. I will destroy everything you hold dear if you don’t bring my son back by today midnight. That is a promise that Kaori makes right here, right now.” Kaori walks away from the station after threatening Amaya. Before leaving she says to Yoshiro, “I know you did something, even if I don’t do anything, my husband will not hesitate to kill you Yoshiro. After all, he came to your class once to teach you about the morals of a police officer, remember?” Kaori said as she walked past Yoshiro.

Yoshiro was filled with despair at that moment. At that moment, he thought, “I have to kill him...I have to kill him, I have to kill that kid and dispose of his body in a place where no one can find him or else I won’t leave...”

“Ryuga...Ryuga...Tsch! Why does that name irritate me?!” Amaya says as she holds her head while looking at the phone.

“I have a case to solve Amaya. I will see you in a while.” Yoshiro says as he walks away into a police car.

A few hours later, Amaya gets a call saying that they found a body near a river whose face was beyond recognition. That body was of a 14 year-old-boy. The body looked like Ryuga’s body and Amaya reached at that river to see the body.

“Amaya, what should we do? If that Kaori woman found out about this, she would kill us all. After all, you also felt it, right Amaya?” One of the officers says to Amaya. Amaya looks at the body and a shade of black appears on her face as she leaves. “Amaya?!” The officer looks confused. “Send the body to get analyzed. I have something to take care of.” Amaya says. The officers around look quite confused.

“Hey, was Officer Amaya crying?” A female officer asks a male officer. “It looked like that...But why?” As Amaya left the place in a police car, she cried.

“How does it feel to know that no one will come to save you?” Yoshiro asks Ryuga who is tied up in a locked room with him. He picks up a knife from the table and looks at Ryuga with a menacing look. “I will carve you up, you will be having a brand new look, my young boy.” Yoshiro gave Ryuga an evil smirk. Ryuga looked quite uninterested.

“You still don’t seem to be in fear. Quite a bold one, huh? Or maybe you are hoping someone will still save you?” Yoshiro asks Ryuga. Ryuga looks at Yoshiro, “Even if you try to kill me, you won’t get away with it, and even if someone comes to save me, I will still be injured. Plus, screaming does no good to me because that just wastes my energy.” Ryuga said as he looked at all the injuries he has had, including the bleeding from his head in the mirror next to Yoshiro.

“I see, you are quite an intelligent one, aren’t you?! But how long can you keep that cold face for?” Yoshiro says as he gives Ryuga a small cut on his cheek. “That scar on your eyes, did one of your victims do it to you?” Ryuga asked even after getting the injury. “Yeah, apparently, he got desperate and tried to slice me up. I was caught off-guard by that and got this injury.” Yoshiro said with a smile. “But it’s a surprise to know, you have no limiters. That’s a rarity you find one in 10 million. I wonder how well you will sell.” Yoshiro says with a smirk.

The bell to Yoshiro’s door rings. “Who in the world is disturbing us now?!” Yoshiro looks quite irritated. He goes to get the door and opens it. Amaya stood in front of him. “A-Amaya...What are you doing here?!” Yoshiro begins to sweat. He never expected Amaya to come to his place. “Officer Yoshiro, I thought you were on a duty...You said you had an important case but why are you at your home?” Amaya asked Yoshiro. She didn’t make contact with Yoshiro’s eyes.

“I-It’s just that...I wasn’t feeling so-“ Suddenly, Amaya shot Yoshiro right through his heart. This shocked Yoshiro as he fell to the ground. There were no pulses or breathing signs Yoshiro presented as he fell to the ground since the bullet pierced right through his heart. The door opened as Ryuga looked at Amaya who was crying over Yoshiro’s dead body.

“Liar...” Amaya said. “LIAR!” Amaya said again. “LIAR!” Again she said. “LIAR! LIAR! LIAR! LIAR!”

At that moment, Ryuga saw the face of someone whose heart was broken. All he could do was stare and not say anything to Amaya as she kept on screaming, “LIAR!” to Yoshiro.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

Someone from a nearby place called the police so the police gathered there. Through analysis, everyone came to know that the body was of a kid that went missing about 2 years ago. The only thing he had in common with Ryuga was the blood type and the hairstyle.

After a while, Kaori came to pick up Ryuga. She hugged Ryuga tightly since she was worried about him to death but Ryuga couldn’t stop looking at Amaya who was sadder than anyone. “Mother, Can I talk with Amaya for a bit?” Ryuga asked Kaori. Kaori looked surprised but she smiled and replied, “I see, she had to do something that would hurt to rescue you, right?” Kaori asked Ryuga. Ryuga nodded. “Are you sure you can handle a girl’s heart, Ryuga? Especially, when she is an adult?” Kaori asked Ryuga. “I don’t know but...I want to comfort her. She didn’t do anything wrong...So she doesn’t need to suffer, right? So...I just want to tell her that...In my own way...” Ryuga said as he looked at Amaya. Kaori scruffs Ryuga’s hairs and pats on his back, “Go talk to her.” Kaori said with a smile. Ryuga smiled back, “Alright!”

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

Ryuga bought Amaya a cold drink, “Here, have this, a gift from me.” Ryuga said as he gave Amaya the cold drink. Amaya takes it. “I am sorry...I didn’t rescue you earlier.” Amaya said to Ryuga. “It’s alright. I know it must have been hard for you.” Ryuga said to Amaya. Amaya drank the drink and didn’t answer Ryuga.

“I am sorry...” Ryuga apologizes. “No! No! No! It was my mistake, why are you apologizing? You were right...I was the one who should have known something like this must have happened.” Amaya said to Ryuga. It almost felt as though Amaya was about to cry talking about the past.

(Mother said that this always works...)

Ryuga began to soothe Amaya’s head. Amaya looked quite surprised, “What are you doing?” Amaya asked Ryuga. “Umm...Comforting you...I guess...” Ryuga said to Amaya. Amaya didn’t have anything to say for a second but she then started to laugh. “Eh?” Ryuga looked quite confused. “Thanks...Ryuga.” Amaya said with a smile. Ryuga saw Amaya smile for the first time and he found it quite cute.

“Hey, Amaya...I have a suggestion for you.” Ryuga says to Amaya. “Hmm?” Amaya drinks her soft drink from her can. “How about you transfer to Hiroyama station? It’s close to your house as well as...we can hang out whenever you are free. What do you say?” Ryuga asks Amaya. Amaya smiled at Ryuga and said, “I don’t know...Maybe.” Amaya said with a smile. Ryuga smiled since he already knew the answer because of Amaya’s smile.

“Hey, tell me how you knew that I was here?! Didn’t that guy implant another kid’s body who looked like me?!”

“That’s because, until I have seen and analyzed the body to be yours, I couldn’t have been sure you were dead.”

“What?! That’s crazy! So you are not an idiot after all!”

“HUH?! WHAT DID YOU SAY TO ME?!”

“HAHAHAHAHAHA!”

The next day, a new recruit joined Hiro’s station, her code name was Marie. Ryuga heard that when Hiro spoke with Kaori about it on the dining table.
