"Trash like you don't deserve to be here at this party." That's what Ryan said to Ryuga. Before anyone could say anything, Bleed steps for Ryuga. "What makes you say that this boy here is trash?" Bleed stood in front of Ryuga protecting him.

(Again Bleed, why do you keep on protecting me? I don’t need to be a burden to you. I don’t want you to carry my burden always. If I ever need you...I will fight with you but please...Please…)

Ryuga tapped on Bleed's back and said to him, "It's alright Bleed, I will just leave and sit in the car. It's not a big deal." Ryuga said to Bleed. "See, that boy is intelligent. He knows he is trash! There is not a single reason for him to stay here." Ryan arrogantly kept on talking. Ryuga began to walk away that's when Ryan said to Ryuga, "By the way, take that disgusting Ogre with you as well." Ryan said to Ryuga and Ryuga kept gave Ryan a death glare. "What's with that look? You should know better than anyone that if you keep on looking at me with that look, things won't look good for you and your family." Ryan gave Ryuga an evil smirk. Ryuga took Jau-Unfurn's hand, "I am sorry, Jau." He intended to take her out with him. Jau-Unfurn smiled and responded to Ryuga, "It's alright, Ryuga."

Everyone saw that Ryuga was about to leave with Jau-Unfurn but no one was ready to stand up for him except for Bleed, that's when a strong feminine voice called for Ryuga, "Oi Ryuga, are ya seriously gonna leave me all alone in this party?" That voice was none other than Maria. "What?! Aren't you one of the members of the security team assigned here? Why are you stopping him?" Ryan asked Maria. "Why you ask? That's coz, that guy is the kid of my senior and my senior isn't someone you can mess with. Plus he is my brother's friend." Maria said with a smirk on her face. "Yeah, for once I agree with this gorilla woman. If Ryuga's leaving, I am leaving too coz I was the one who insisted on coming here. It wasn't Ryuga's fault." Dakai said as he scratched his head.

(What’s with you guys? Are you guys crazy? Don’t you understand that you will be going against the mayor if you idiots keep on yapping? Don’t you understand the severity of the situation? Don’t you understand how important it is that you idiots don’t keep on popping your nose in?!)

"Is that so?" A smirk suddenly appeared on Ryan's face, "Miss security, are you talking about Hiro Aragi?" The smirk on Maria's face was wiped off with just that one question. "How did you know about our senior?! We never told you about him!" Maria looked quite shocked by the fact that Ryan knew about Hiro. "Of course I know about Hiro Aragi. After all, all you policemen work under the chief officer and it's not that tough to take away your earnings." Listening to Ryan made Maria bite her lips from anger. She knew that if she uttered any word from here on out, not only her but everyone's job will be in danger. "It's alright, Maria. I planned to stay in the car anyway." Ryuga said with a smile. Maria clenched her fist. She didn't make eye contact with Ryuga and looked away.

"That's a little rude, you know." Ellie stands in front of Ryuga and stops him. Ryuga looked at Ellie and was quite confused with what she was doing. "Finally, she steps up huh?" Alicia said with a smile as she watched over Ryuga.

"What are you doing, Miss Norvich?! Why are you not letting trash like him go out of the door?!" Ryan was quite surprised by Ellie's actions. "Why you ask?" Ellie thought for a second and then she replied, "That's because Ryuga is a special case that's why." Ellie said as she looked back at Ryan. "Special case?! What would make him special, would you mind elaborating, Miss Norvich?" Ryan asked Ellie. That's when Ellie smirked and answered.

"I am Ryuga Aragi's assistant, Ellie Norvich and Ryuga is Jin Akuma's student." The moment Ellie mentioned Jin Akuma's name, the whole mansion turned silent. No one would ever have thought that the name Akuma would have ever been bought up so casually.

This pissed Ryan off though and annoyed by the fact that Ellie was protecting Ryuga he spoke in an angry tone, "Oi, do you realize what you are saying, Miss Norvich? Jin Akuma? The Jin Akuma who doesn't let anyone close to him?! Do you seriously think I would believe in shit like that?! No one here would believe in you and your deep shit-" Suddenly, a huge blast is heard by everyone.

(A Blast?! South-West from here! There are four districts South-West from here, Chiraya district where I stay, Kolchi district where Marie stays, Gushia district where I catch my train to Ghost World Academy from, and Hiroyama district where the police station is at. That’s where dad works.

I wonder what’s going on? That blast was very strong...It was so strong that it caused an earthquake. That’s not a normal radius blast.)

"What the fuck is going on?!" Ryan questioned. "Everyone! Check out the news or check YouTube! It seems that some terrorist blasted the Hiroyama district!" One of the people at the party said. Everyone quickly removed their phones and started to surf.

Ryuga looked at the Hiroyama district and the district was destroyed completely. There wasn't a single trace of even a building there. The whole area was covered in ash. "Oi, oi, oi, why in the world is this place trashed like that?" Kirio looked quite surprised. "Grandma…" Airi looked like she was about to breakdown. "Shit! Airi lived in that area…" Maria said. "Every Ghost available here, go and check the area and find the culprit and bring them to justice!" Ryan was trying to be a hero in front of everyone and so he ordered all the Ghosts to find the culprit.

(Hiroyama district...What the hell could do this? Still, I find something strange...Did it seriously turn everything into ash? Did every single person building get turned into ash? I find that to be very strange…)

The mansion quickly cleared out with only Ryuga, Bleed, Mayumi, Maria, Kirio, Airi, Isaya, Jau-Unfurn, Ellie, and a few Ghosts who Ryuga recognized standing there. Ryuga looked right into Ryan's eyes and said, "Someday, I am going to make sure you pay for your sins." Ryuga threatened Ryan. Ryan smirked and replied, "Try if you can but you will fail." Ryan said as Ryuga left along with Jau-Unfurn and his friends.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

Ryuga wanted to leave the mansion as quickly as possible but he couldn’t find Hiro or their car anywhere. “Hey, do you know where father might have gone?” Ryuga asked Maria. “It’s possible that the chief went to Hiroyama district to investigate.” Maria replied to Ryuga’s question. Ryuga started to think something. He asked Maria, “Hey do you by any chance have two cars?” Maria looked surprised, “Yeah, I got my car and Isaya both his car as well.” Maria said. “Maria, can Isaya drop off Kirio and Jau at my place?” Ryuga said to Maria. Maria nodded but she was confused at the same time, “What about you Ryuga?” Maria asked Ryuga. “You will drive me and the new recruit to the Hiroyama district.” Ryuga replied to Maria. Maria couldn’t understand what Ryuga was planning, “Ryuga, I think Airi should go to your place along with Isaya and the others-” Ryuga interrupted Maria and in a strong voice he said, “The new recruit must come with us, Maria!” Ryuga made his presence felt. He made sure that Maria and everyone around him heard his voice loud and clear. “This is an order from me. Someone who is going to be a Ghost in the future.”

Ryuga was pretty clear with what he wanted to say but there was another person who heard everyone’s conversation. “I never thought I would have heard that from you, Ryuga.” Mayumi Revons made it out of the mansion. She looked at Ryuga with her cold eyes. “Ryuga Aragi, I never thought you out of all people would say that you will be Ghost in the future.” Mayumi said to Ryuga. She found it quite annoying that Ryuga spoke of becoming a Ghost so casually. “Not after what happened to you the other day.” Mayumi spoke of the day when Ryuga got owned by Ryan Arkwet. Ryuga didn’t react whatsoever to what Mayumi was saying to Ryuga.

(Seriously, I don’t want her to pop out now. Like seriously, I don’t want to answer her. I don’t want to face her in all honesty. I just want to get away from her.)

“This bitch is annoying me Ryuga, can you knock her out for me?” Alicia used telepathy to connect with Ryuga. “Nah, she just wants attention. That’s the reason why she is trying to provoke me.” Ryuga replied to Alicia via telepathy. Ryuga already knew that Alicia was annoyed by the fact that Mayumi killed her but Ryuga also knew Mayumi well enough to say what he said.

“Ryuga, Airi, I bought out the car, let’s get going.” Maria said as she stopped the car behind Ryuga.

(When the fuck did you even get the time to bring the car here?!)

“Let’s go! New recruit!” Ryuga said to Airi. He took a glance at her, it looked like she couldn’t move whatsoever. She was devastated by the fact that the area where her grandmother lived was destroyed without any traces. Ryuga quickly grabs Airi’s hand. Airi looked quite surprised. “Leave me alone! You don’t understand! I can’t go there. I don’t want to see Grandma dead or else-” Mayumi stops Airi from speaking, “That’s right, Ryuga, you should stop. If that girl goes to that area I am sure she will have a mental breakdown. After all, her caretakers lived there, right?” Mayumi said to Ryuga. Her expression was unchanged but the person who got mentally weak was Airi. She started having second thoughts. It was almost as if she was about to cry. That’s when Ryuga slapped both of Airi’s cheeks.

“NEW RECRUIT! WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO?!” Ryuga asked as he forced Airi to look right into his eyes. “I...I-” Airi wanted to say something but was hesitating, “Tell me, what do you want to do? You don’t need to worry. Depending on your answer, I will tell you what you should do next.” Ryuga looked right into Airi’s eyes as he talked with Airi. “I...I want to...I want to go see Grandma…” Airi said as she began to pour tears. “Let’s go see her then.” Ryuga said. He held Airi’s hand and led her to the car. Airi looked quite surprised by Ryuga’s action. Mayumi felt jealous as she watched Ryuga go with another girl.

“Mayumi Revons...” Jau-Unfurn walked up to Mayumi. “Jau-Unfurn, what are you doing?” Kirio looked confused. “What is it that you want, Ogre?” Mayumi questioned Jau-Unfurn. She looked quite furious. “I don’t want anything. I am just here to warn you.” Jau-Unfurn said. Mayumi looked quite annoyed. Kirio was quite surprised and Isaya stood near his car ignoring everything. “The other day, I lost because Ryuga wanted me to not hurt anyone but if anything were to happen to Ryuga or even anyone close to him. I won’t think twice before killing you.” Jau-Unfurn left Mayumi with that statement. Mayumi just stared at Jau-Unfurn blindly until she left. “Kill me huh? I just want to fucking kill you...You are the reason...You are the reason he changed, isn’t he?!” All of a sudden, Mayumi was filled with rage. Ellie watched all this from the sidelines. “Oh boy, Ryuga, you had a very dangerous ex…” Ellie looked a little scared.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

Ryuga, Marie, and Airi all were heading to the destination without questions asked. Airi was quite scared but Ryuga sat right next to her. Marie looked at them in the mirror as she drove. “I wish that I could cheer up Airi.” That’s what Marie thought. Ryuga understood Marie’s unusual expression and knew she was worried about Airi.

“Hey, new recruit. What’s your name?” Ryuga asked Airi. “Umm...Airi Rishi.” She replied. “Are you not Japanese?” Ryuga asked. “I am part Japanese. See, my mother is from Japan but my father is Indian. So I go by my father’s family name, Rishi.” Airi said to Ryuga. “I see, I would like to meet them.” Ryuga said with a smile. Unfortunately, this conversation made Airi sad. “They aren’t around anymore.” Airi said. Ryuga didn’t want to make Airi sad anymore. “I understand.” He said as he looked out of the window. “Your grandmother, she is quite important to you, right?” Ryuga asked. “Yes, she is my world. Since I was a little baby, she has always taken care of me. Even before my parents passed away and even after. Even now, I depend on her.” Airi’s face showed a glimpse of a smile.

Airi chuckles, “I know, I am quite a child but...Grandma is really important to me and if she were to pass away...I will be quite alone.” Airi said with a sad smile. Ryuga moved his hand on Airi’s head, “Hmm?” Airi looked quite surprised. “She will be fine. Don’t worry.” Ryuga said as he soothed Airi’s head. Marie looked at Ryuga and Airi with a smug. “Very cute.” Marie said as she continued to drive.

~GHOST WORLD ACADEMIA~

(We all reached the Hiroyama district finally. While it was true that the district was totally destroyed. Everyone had evacuated. Whoever destroyed this district made sure that everyone was safe. It was almost as if they didn’t want to kill anyone but only destroy this place. I wonder why.

Well, at least Airi and her grandmother got to meet again. Nothing bad had happened to her grandmother. Airi was quite happy that she met her grandmother once again. She even hugged me and said, “Thank you...For bringing me here.” Like seriously, it wasn’t anything special. I knew she wouldn’t have come here anyway. I told her she should spend some more time with her grandmother and went to get some drink for myself.)

Ryuga sat on a pillar outside the Hiroyama district. “Got space for one more?” Marie asked Ryuga. Ryuga slid to the right and indicated to her that she should have a seat. “Thanks.” Marie adjusted her skirt and sat next to Ryuga. “How have things been at work?” Ryuga asked Marie. “Well, this and that. What about you Ryuga? What has happened to you all of a sudden? Why do you want to be a Ghost now?” Marie asked Ryuga as she took a sip from her soft drink. “That was just a motivational speech for you peeps. I still don’t want to be a Ghost. I find that job not suited for me.” Ryuga said as he took a sip from his cup. “Is it because you don’t have limiters?” Marie asked Ryuga. “Yeah, but, I just don’t like working as a Ghost in general.” Ryuga replied. “I see...Tsch!” Marie tried to drink from her can but it was empty. She threw away the can. Ryuga gave her his can, “Hmm?” Marie looked surprised. “Have it, it’s for you.” Ryuga said. Marie sighed. “You know, that’s an indirect kiss, right?” Marie asked Ryuga. “I don’t mind if it’s you, Amaya.” Ryuga said as he lent Marie his drink. Marie’s face turned red when she heard her real name from Ryuga’s lips. She quietly took the drink and didn’t speak for a while.

Soon she asked Ryuga a question, “Oi Ryuga, how did you know that Airi’s grandma would be safe?” Marie asked Ryuga. “I remembered that a certain someone taught me never to assume a person is dead unless and until you see the dead body by your own eyes.” Ryuga said to Marie. Marie realized that Ryuga remembered something that she told her 2 years ago. “I just followed, that young girl’s footsteps.” Ryuga said. Marie’s hair was quite long at that time and she also wore specs but now, she has shorter hair and she wears eye lenses instead so Ryuga was not able to recognize that the person he met 2 years ago was Ryuga. “If I hadn’t met Mayumi, I would have searched for her. Spending that whole day with her was pretty fun and not going to lie, she was kind of cute.” Ryuga smiled as he spoke. “I was cute…” Marie got red just thinking about it.

“Marie, is something wrong?” Ryuga asked Marie. “N-n-nothing!” Marie left at the speed of a bullet train. “What? Did I say something weird?!” Ryuga was confused about everything.

(Marie, also known as Amaya Dakai, she was my first crush when I was just fourteen. Fucking hell, she’s six years older than me but back then she looked like she was just sixteen…)

In other words, Ryuga remembered that two years ago, the certain someone he met was Marie.

Somewhere in a dark corner, someone is planning something evil that might put the town in danger. “My main target is Mayumi Revons. Once I capture her, I can make sure that Bleed makes his way to me. Once the big ranker of this city is down, I can take down Ryan Arkwet pretty easily.” The certain someone was looking at Mayumi and Bleed’s photos. There also were photos of Ryuga and his friends.

“My main problem is you, you will definitely come to save Mayumi Revons if she was in danger. I have to make sure you don’t come to save her at any cost. So I will have to take you down first, Ryuga Aragi.” The certain someone laughed maniacally in the dark as they planned this operation in the most secretive way possible.
