《Spirit Of The Forest (Dropped)》Chapter 1: Strolling(Chased) Through The Forest [SEVERELY EDITED]

A small boy was dashing through the thick foliage while dodging the occasional hungry plant. He kept looking over his shoulder as if something was chasing him.
*ROOOOOOOOOOOOAR*
"Come on! I didn't even want to do this today!." yelled the small green haired boy as he jumped over the bumps and roots along the path.
*ROOOOOOOOOOOOAR*
As the boy kept running until he reached a large clearing , the thing that was chasing him could be seen. It was a 40-foot long large reptilian creature with folded wings, a tail, and dark blue scales. In other words a dragon.
*ROOOOOOOOOOOOOAR*
The boy continued his high speed run while the dragon lopped after him. After 15 more minutes of sprinting the boy stopped. He looked behind himself to check if there were any large scaly objects hurtling its way through the dense growth of trees.
Did I lose him?
Then a shadow appeared below the boy. He looked up.
"YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME!", the boy screamed in despair while the black shadow grew bigger .The gigantic dragon was hurtling down from above. It was flapping its wings as if trying to fly.
*THUMP**ROOOOOOOAR*
The dragon landed and roared again then looked around confused as if wondering where its toy went.
"Down here you idiotic lizard",a muffled voice could be heard from what seemed to be the dragon’s right foot. But feet can’t talk right?
*Roar?*
The dragon looked down at where its feet were, then after a moment of pondering tentatively raised his left foot. Nope, no boy under there. It set down the foot then thought for a moment. A certain cracking sound could be heard. It then lifted its other foot. Underneath was a battered and dirty, but still mostly intact child. Just a slightly bruised up body and a arm that shouldn’t have looked like a half crushed pretzel. The boy’s green eyes glared at the dragon giving a accusatory look.
*Roar!!!*
With a gleeful look the dragon opened it mouth and... started licking the boy like a dog.
"Gah!!!", screamed the child while trying to sit back up with his one intact arm only to be knocked over again by a certain someone’s tongue.

"I know your saliva has healing properties and increases resistances to elements and such, but it stinks like hell and takes so long to get it out of my hair you know!", the boy said while feeling his arm untwist from its pretzel like shape and back into what a perfectly normal arm is suppose to look like.
The dragon stopped licking the boy and whimpered gave him the pup-- I mean dragon-eyed look which somehow looked somewhat cuddly and pitiful.
The boy stood up and tried to wipe off at least some of the dragon saliva. No luck. He sighed a looked back at the dragon who was knocking 6 perfectly healthy trees over with its long, wagging tail.
"Alright I am done with babysitting you let's go back to where mom is. Also stop looking at me like that. It's weird to see a 40 foot long beast try to look cute while destroying a forest."
The boy started sprinting again, this time in the direction where he and the dragon came from. After about 30 minutes of high speed running the boy stopped in front of a gigantic tree with leaves reflecting the sunlight as it danced in the breeze. Under the tree sat a woman with green hair and eyes just like the boy's own except her hair was sparkling as like the leaves on the tree behind her. She also had a amused smile playing across her face.
"Evan my child are you done playing around?", She said with a voice that sounded as gentle as grass in a meadow. Wait scratch that, the meadow’s in the area had large dragon footprints all over. From chasing down a certain young boy.
Evan looked at his mother with a irritated look still wet and sticky from the dragon saliva.
"You made me babysit a dragon pup. What is your definition of playing around?", Evan said angrily.
I did not plan on being chased down by a overgrown lizard today he thought as he remembered the 4 hours of constant running.
"My dear child, my mana core guardian had a kid so why wouldn't you play together?", she replied.
"You MADE me babysit a 40 FOOT LONG DRAGON! I CAN'T PLAY WITH A LIZARD THAT'S 10 TIMES MY HEIGHT! Also I am not a child Mother, you just like me in this form.". Evan said ever more exasperated with his mother’s antics.

Evan's mother shook her head still with a amused smile on her face.
"No, no, no Evan it's not that I like you in that form, its because you gather mana the best in that form.", She lectured almost as if she had said those words a thousand times. She had said those words over a thousand times at least.
"So you're saying that you don't enjoy the fact that I'm in the form of a little boy?",Evan said while looking her dead in the eye.
Evan's mother turned around to look behind her at the giant tree and muttered in a near inaudible tone.
"Maybe just a little"
"Mother! You have to at least act like a mana core with near unrivalled strength! Argh...,but anyways can you take this thing off my hands?",Evan said while pointing his thumb at the dragon. It was still panting from running from the ambush site back to the Mother Tree.
"Yes, yes I'll call Elise down just give it a moment"
*ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOAR*
A roar even louder than the 40 foot dragon was heard and then a large 200 foot dragon swooped down from the top of the Mother Tree and landed perfectly curled around the Mother Tree.
"You called my lady?", Elise asked through telepathy.
“Elise”,Evan’s mother said with a stern voice,”I told you to call me Mirana, I am a mana core and your are my guardian it is only natural that we are equal partners.”
“Yes, Lady Mirana”
“Mother!”,Evan said as if impatient to get a dragon off his hands. Which he was of course.
"Yes, yes so sorry about that dear. Elise my son here seems to be unable to play with your child I am truly sorry about that, but fear not I will find something else for him to play with" She said while striking a pose which made Evan turn his head away in embarrassment.
Ever since the hero came by with that book she's been imitating things from it. I'm starting to wonder who the real child is.
"Come here child", Elise “said” while indicating that it should come over.
The baby dragon obediently walked towards his mother. After, he was close enough Elise picked him up by the scruff of the neck using her jaws and uncoiled herself from the Mother Tree launching herself into the air. With baby dragon in tow she flew up to the the top of the Mother Tree and vanished behind the leaves.
"Now then let's get you cleaned off my little angel",Evan’s mother said with a twinkle in her eye.
"Mother I can clean myself up thank you very much"
"You don't want your own mother to help you clean up?”
She gave Evan the eyes of a doting parent, which was super effective as Evan flinched before sighed again in defeat.
"Alright mother you can help me wash up"

Now then we would go into greater detail about what occurred during this time, but I set this to no vivid sexual content(Yes Bathing is VERY sexual) so to bad for you
. Maybe someday who knows.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a half hour of mortifying “cleaning” Evan was finally back to normal. His cute cherubic face along with his short stature and green hair/eyes that could charm any female was all back in proper order.
"Now then mother we need to..."
Evan was cut off by a serious look from his mother as she spoke in a serious tone
"A monster horde is forming"
"What! Something sneaked in again?",Evan exclaimed with shock.
"Go take care of it honey the horde is forming toward the west, remember we can't let to many people die."
"Alright I'm going now!"
Evan started sprinting off to the west while a bow materialized on his back along with a long green cloak that covered the bow. Evan pulled the hood over his face and it seemed to shimmer a bit before matching the background of the forest and blending in perfectly with its surroundings.

Sanguis
In a world inhabited by vampires, various factions are vying for dominance, whether through wars or grueling tournaments. In the midst of the conflict, two unsuspecting humans become caught in the battle. Note: My first story on here, I wanted to try writing a story with battles and leveling up, the kind of story where a character starts at the bottom and world their way up. I hope this story is a good chance to see what works and try out a few different ideas I’ve had.
