《ASTREA - A Game of Different Realities》Chapter 30

"That's a lot of things to remember. It is making my head hurt just reading everything this says. What guild did we just get into?"
"Our leader really takes this seriously, huh."
"500b$/week for the lowest member! Where did our leader place us anyway?"
"Of course, that is what you understand the most. Three of us along with Michelle are promoted already to Officers-- Only below the leader."
"10,000b$ every week!!!"
"Don't collapse on me, Aria."
Her reactions were quite exaggerated. Actually, it may not be considering it is Aria. That 10,000b$ is probably more than she earns in her part-time job in a month.
I may say that. but I am surprised by the amount myself.
Such a lucrative leader we got here. I do not know if we are lucky or the other way around. This benefits of joining this guild may come with a price, or maintaining our position in this guild may be more difficult than I can anticipate. There is no easy money in this life especially when you are in a Virtual Game like New World.
I thought Richest Asian might be just some rich player who uses money to buy his way to the game. Now I have a change of perception on him. He is a mysterious rich player who uses money in this game, lots and lots of money. 120,000b$ in a month for us three alone as a part of the Officer level. That is more than an average worker yearly salary.
Not that I am unsatisfied or anything, it is just that it is strange to have all these without any clear views on what we are dealing with. He may be someone doing illegal activities in real life and somehow he is trying to spread his influence in New World.
Fortunate for us, we do not need to reach for Richest ourselves for answers. He was the one who initiates and messaged us privately first.

[Are you available right now?]
"Aria, did our leader messaged you?"
"You also got the message? He's asking if we're available right now. What do we say?"
"We'll wait for Michelle. Maybe she also got the same message."
And that is what we did. We waited for Michelle to settle her business while we are observing the activity in the guild chat.
Although there was no interesting thing that was happening in it after the initial chaos the announcement caused. From players trying to party up to players finding for someone to trade with. Everything is what you expect from a newly formed guild.
We did this for minutes before we finally saw Michelle. The first thing she said was concerning the guild leader messaging her the same thing. We do not need to explain it furthermore and this made the decision easier and quicker.
"Since it's already late anyway. How about we entertain whatever our leader wants if it does not take long."
"I wonder what he wants from us?"
"We'll know when we get there. It's also a good chance to meet our leader personally. I'm more curious about what kind of person he is.
"Tell him that we were fighting a boss that's why we replied late and that we have just come back. We don't want to jeopardize our position because of an awful first impression. I can't lose 10,000b$ just as I have the chance at it."
[That's all right. Good thing you're already in the city. Meet me in the city centre. I'm near the Moonlight fountain.]
Richest Asian replied quickly. I was the only one who messages him between us three since we are going there together anyway. I did what Aria suggested because she will not be calm if we somewhat annoyed our Guild Leader.
"How do we identify him? Did he send his physical features since it would be tiring to ask people if their name is Richest Asian? Only if there was a floating name above our heads, finding him would be extremely easy."

"You can easily distinguish players that have the same guild by this piece of badge here."
I pointed at the badge on my right sleeves that I acquired after joining Gold Paradise. Fitting the name, the badge's appearance was similar to a dime. Except for the distinctive colour of purple and gold, this badge is practically a coin printed on our sleeves.
"Didn't know that. Just noticed it now and I must say, it does not look good."
"It won't matter. The guild's accomplishment would define it anyway."
"Isn't that him?"
While Michelle was complaining about the unappealing addition to her attire, Aria was the first one to notice a blond man with the same badge as us on his left chest.
My first impression of observing him was amazement. If we are considered to be pro gamers based on our equipment alone then he would be a God gamer with all the expensive looking heavy armour he got. I will not be surprised if I see the same set of equipment ten levels later. But it was still out of the league compared to the NPC I met during my expedition in Moonshire.
Nevertheless, I am still surprised at how people can have equipment like that this early in the game. Although he probably bought all of if considering his name and the announcement a while ago.
"Are you Richest Asian perhaps?"
His face was covered with a medieval-looking helmet that covered half of his face which made him intimidating to talk to. Even Aria, who I know was comfortable interacting with strangers, is currently having a second thoughts talking to the man in front of her.
"You are- ah, the three of you are acquaintances? I thought it's only LadyQueen Blade and Michi Mochi that knows each other. That's good I guess."
"Ahem~ Why did you call us here?"
While Aria was talking with him, I observe that there was no other Gold Paradise member besides us in here. It seems like he only called for us three specifically, the only Officer ranked members of the guild.
"I just want to check the level 20s who joined my guild. If you're wondering why I immediately assigned the three of you as Officers, it's because of your levels. I need to make an example that only strong people can be deserving of the highest position. I'm planning to only have ten slots as Officers. So if you want to stay in it, I wish you continue to do what you are doing."
"Is the 10,000b$ true?!"
"Yes"
"Your name is Richest Asian, but you have an English accent. Are you really from somewhere from England?
"Yes."
"bla la bla…"
She went on and on until she was satisfied with her questions. Both Michelle and I just listened on the side-line. I must say that his attitude with her is patient. Even though there were a lot of questions that is okay not to be answered, he did so without any hesitation.
This was a plus on my approval rating for him to be the leader of the guild.
Fortunate for us, Aria did all the talking. Richest Asian did not even have the chance to hear both Michelle and my voice.
When the conversation was dragging towards nowhere, he also knows well how to end the conversation when the topic was getting out of hand. That is why after entertaining our questions, rather Aria's questions and bidding his farewell, he humbly logged out.
"That's enough for today."
When Richest Asian finally left, Michelle's yawn indicates that we should probably sleep at this late hour. All of us agree without any complication resulting in a log out session with an instant entrance to dreamland when I laid down on my bed.
