《ASTREA - A Game of Different Realities》Chapter 27

Bustling streets, shouting players, merchants travelling with their carriage, and many more. That is what welcomed me when I entered Twilight City. A change of view was something I really needed to bring back my motivation.
"Haaaa~ How I miss this place. It's only been a few days, but it feels like forever since I saw this lively city."
There were more people compared to the last time I was here. The roads can hardly cater to all players running around-- It was not this bad last time. Even the demography of the player population was different this time around. I can see a lot of young-looking and older-looking players that are having fun talking with their party teammates.
I thought the city will be lacking with beginners soon but from what I see, almost everyone here is still wearing the starter set. This made me somewhat the centre of attraction when passing by because my armour looks better compared to 90% of players in this place.
However, these stares did not bother or gave my ego a boost at all. I let them do what they are doing while I was on my way to the blacksmith.
My purpose in the blacksmith was simply to repair all of my equipment and nothing else. Since my gear was somewhat new, I do not really need to craft anything yet. The cost of repairing my armour was still cheap. As long as nothing extraordinary come to the blacksmith, I will not have any problem with maintaining my equipment.
when I was done with my business in the blacksmith, I went to the Item bank where I can deposit all the items I do not need for the meantime, but maybe it will in the future. Mostly these are the crafting materials dropped by the monsters I have hunted. You can upgrade item banks to have higher storage for a price, but the capacity is still enough for the few items I need to store.

Next stop was the general store to refill all my necessities like potion and arrows. I got more than enough gold to purchase a week worth of this stuff. It does not take that much space in my inventory anyway.
This is the routine of my maintenance and it took me a total of ten minutes. There is still time before the scheduled meeting place and fortunately, finding Luna was not difficult this time.
"Hello- Oh, it's you"
"You remember me?"
"Of course, how could I forget Miss Traveller."
It may be because I was the only one to accept her hidden quest, but I am quite impressed with this NPC. Luna's interactions with me were nothing short of realistic. Compared to the last time I saw her, her attitude with me was more friendly.
"I finished the task. You can go to Moonshire without any worries once again."
"My! Thank you very much! You have my gratitude. Maybe not all Travellers are awful after all... I can see you have clear away the place of beasts, but It is unfortunate that blood was spilt. Nevertheless, I can't think of any way to repay you."
Her genuine smile was so pure that it made me want to protect that smile. Although she still has something to say after taking the golden pendant hanging from her neck.
"This pendant is only the thing I have that may interest Travellers like you. I know that this does not look much, but this has been with me ever since I was young. This thing brought nothing but good luck for me."
She took my hand and place this pendant of hers on top of my palm. Her monologue made me really uncomfortable taking the pendant although I still took it in the end.
An item given as a reward after completing a hidden quest is highly likely to be amazing and it is a pendant, nonetheless. There was not even a single accessory type of equipment being sold in the market yet. Probably every player who has one equipped it for themselves without any question.

"This is more than enough. I am more than happy to help someone in need."
"Thank you once again. Maybe you can stop by our home for a meal."
"I'll try."
[Reputation +2]
"???"
[A player from Twilight City gained the first reputation points.
For the discovery of Reputation. A new trait will be added to all players.
New World will be down for 5 minutes to implement the changes. Sorry for the inconvenience]
Gigantic set of words suddenly appeared in my view before I can even react to the first surprised I got from Luna. Looks like it was not only me who received this strange event since I hear many people around me.
"WTF?!?! AGAIN!!!"
"Who the hell discovered reputation, and what is it even that I need to log out again?!"
"From Twilight City it said. Find that person whoever they are."
A loud uproar erupted immediately after the announcement. It was a reasonable reaction, but why do they want to kill me? 'It is ETHER's fault' I wanted to say out loud. Although I am thankful that they did not publicize my name or I will have a difficult time staying here.
Following that announcement, another thing popped out on our interfaces. This time it was a timer. They gave us ten minutes of grace period to do whatever we are doing before disconnecting us for half of that time.
During that period, the first thing I did was look at the forums. The busy forum was even busier this time. New post after new post was being published by the millisecond and naturally, the topic about those post is about the strange announcement that was just realised in every player of New World.
Little did they know, the reason why this occurred is probably because of me. However, I will not say a word about it or else I will be the target of many. That is why I am here silently trying to understand what I did.
Base on from what I just did, I am a hundred percent sure the reason is related to completing Luna's quest.
'Completing a hidden quest maybe? Probably not because I saw some post in the NWF about the hidden quest they have done.'
What else…
Nothing came in my mind, so I tried looking for answers in New World's official website. Alas, there were no answers. The website does not even have any new post beside the introduction of guild and player ranking which was already posted yesterday.
I and many more can only hope our curiosity will be answered after the five minutes off.
Since I am doing nothing anyway and staying might have some problem because this I the first time this happens, I logged out prematurely. I message in our group chat about the thing that just occurred not including the specific part of me being the reason. I will tell them when we meet, but for now, I want to know what they think the use of Reputation is.
[Any clue what just happened in New World]
[No clue. I can't believe they have 2 downtimes in a matter of 24 hours. What is this, the 2000s?]
[Good thing it is only 5 minutes. We're almost in Twilight city and this happened.]
[We have not yet joined a guild and now there is something new. They should have added this reputation from the beginning.]
They were as clueless as me, so I did not bother anymore. I dropped my phone and went to take a quick bath with the time given. It is useless to make a ruckus on the online forum when there is no answer yet.
