《Of Life and Light》Chapter 53 [Ageless]

"So," Melephas wondered as he watched from the centre of the city in which I stood. For I was currently moving and swaying my arms around whilst directing the conjured energies from the essences I had absorbed. Each of which screamed and howled within my own mind and body, whilst such energies were used to spread out throughout the town. This was so, as I desired to reshape the city into one of Terra's own cities where such creatures as Goblins, Orcs, and Ogres once resided.
Here, the structures themselves were warped from rectangular or square shaped buildings, and into hive domes from which the Goblins were more comfortable to live within. Within every five metres, branching in a spiral pattern flowing upwards, was an opening from which each resident was able to crawl through. Of which also contained a sticky solution which was native to their species which easily allows them to pass through. Unfortunately, such a solution would not allow any others to follow suit, and would be rendered useless until they either perished from the many creatures which came for them, or found a way to pull themselves out.
Either way, a Goblin's home was not one to be trifled with.
An Orc's hovel, was exactly as it sounded as, a small hut. For they were a simple and nomadic folk upon Terra, and from the memories of those I devoured, not much had changed. Well, except for the fact that they weren't green skinned, but had the same pink flesh of man with a warthog's facial features. These beings were quite tribal in their ways, and would regularly raid others for food and females. Or they would have, if their population was on the decline since the discovery of "Heroes" being brought to their world in order to complete "Quests" from the Gods and Goddesses governing Asha'ruun.
Of which led them to becoming secluded in their ways, desiring to not disturb those who would enjoy viewing their end. This race would soon be hunted by my self, and those under my person if we could not find them whilst winning this war for the Lizardfolk.
You might be wondering about the Ogres, yes? Well, those upon Terra were gargantuan creatures which were viewed as half Giants, and were often times mistaken for such a creature's child. Unfortunately, Asha'ruun did not contain such a creature, or they weren't discovered. For the memories of those I had absorbed did not contain such information. Well, regardless, I created several open mouthed caves scattered about their city's edge. Of which would serve as their home as soon as I and mine discover and bring them here.

"So," repeated the Mage as he witnessed all of what I had accomplished thus far, "you ever going to throw some of that power my way?"
To which I ignored him, as I was in the middle of reconstructing the Main House of the city into something more befitting of a home within my own territory. For it was needed to be more of a castle-like structure, as opposed to the manor it was before. This was needed when one was to be elected Stewardship of the city with which we stood within. As to who would be appointed the position? It wouldn't be our resident Human, that was a fact. Instead, Brutus or one of my soon-to-be-Chosen would take the reins, or perhaps a Thrall.
"No, I will not," was my reply after finishing the image of a one spired castle laid before my own eyes, "For the extra minds within these essences would drive a lesser being insane."
"Hah," he exclaimed, taking up a pose of haughtiness, as his fist rested upon his hips, and he flicked his head towards the left of his person, "I can take on anything."
"No. You cannot," my body appeared before himself, my lesser clawed hands gripping his sides whilst my primaries clung to his head, "So allow my mind to show you the Madness that is within we who crossed the line and enter into eternal damnation."
Upon so saying, I did link with his mind, transporting him to another world entirely. Of which contained the many howlings, screamings, and pleadings to end it all from the Beastfolk I had drained. Here, he was shown the darkness which slowly consumed their essences whilst causing them to perform such vocals. For such was their place amongst my person, and would only continue until after my body squeezed every last, minute drop of their entirety before being tossed away.
All of this and more was shown. Of which was a cause for worry from those who would perform such a venture. For stealing the essences away from She who was Death was a capital offence against her, and for consuming such beings when they were to move on and into the next life? Such would cause a being to become forever marked by one such as she. For one they have perished from some unknown plight, would they be forced into Limbo. Whereupon they shall be forever cursed to wander the lands for all time.

Yes. The punishment for such a venture was indeed harsh, but for one who had transcended their mortal coils? They, I, would never fear the hand of Death, and after becoming a God? Well, she will forever become frustrated as I had eluded her desire to exact revenge upon my person. For the death of a God or Goddess was a rare occurrence.
In other words, it is highly unlikely for one such as I to fall so low that she may come for my person with ease.
However, upon releasing Melephas from my grip, I noted a curious sight about him. For although his body had become pale and was shivering greatly, his eyes and mind were aflame with great desire. Yes. I did believe such a viewing did not sway his mind to forgo such a venture, but instead desired it all.
For just as he stopped shivering, did his lips parted with a slow intake of air. Unfortunately for himself, or perhaps it was of great fortune, a pair of Goblins dashed towards my person with the scent of primal fear all about their bodies. One of such creatures carried forth a scroll of parchment for my person, and upon handing it over, dashed away with the other scampering close behind.
"What's that?" wondered the Human, who then glanced over my left shoulder with great curiosity, but frowned when he could not understand the words inscribed upon the parchment. For the language itself was in scribbles, and therefore could not be discerned, save for those of whom took their time to understanding Goblin Script. Therefore, such words were easily understood, but complicated when trying to decipher. This was due to the fact that they tended to not be able to write in lines, but drew all over the sheet. The more frantic the image, the more difficult the message.
However, this was not a frantic image, but one which was more calm. Unfortunately, it still caused my person to stare at the drawing for a little too long. Once I understood what was written, on the other hand, I vanished from Melephas's side, causing him to shout a, "Hey," before reappearing upon the newly formed walls along the outskirts of the city.
Here, I called upon one of the few Goblins brave enough to scurry around the parapets, and was directed towards the northern wall. Yes. I did vanish from my spot once more, frightening those few upon it, and reappeared in the general vicinity of where I was needed to be. Whereupon I did note a great swath of armoured individuals slowly marching their persons towards my city upon a hard packed, dirt road which would have led towards a gate. If, however, I did not remove such a thing and replaced it upon the western road. Therefore, all that was in front of them would be naught, but a wall of magickally created stones.
"My Lord," called out Amira from upon a staircase of wood, leading up towards a few metres away at my left. She was wearing her leathered outfit, by the by, as well as holding onto the scythe gifted to her by my person. However, she did not have the illusion of mortality about her shoulders. Therefore, she was just as metallic as Brutus was, and also had four arms along her sides.
"We've just noted their appearance, Lord," she spoke to my person the moment she rose up from the stairs and stood nearby, "and each appeared to be Beastmen and women."
"No Lizardfolk?"
"No, Lord," her head swayed from side to side with her eyes closed. Of which were reopened the moment she stopped the movement, and turned her eyes back towards my own gaze, "But there were some Humans spotted amongst their numbers."
"Oh?" My curiosity was peaked at this moment, and I turned my eyes inwards in order to shuffle through the twisted memories of the essences I had devoured. For I desired to know if Humans were native to this world. If they weren't? Then nothing would stop my clawed hand from stretching over this world in order to eradicate them all from the face of this land.
No. They were not a part of this world, by the by. To which I grinned an evil grin whilst barking the order to ready our defenses again the newest threat that was this advancing army. For I desired to see their end, as well as to understand how it was that they were able to discover our persons when we made sure nothing escaped from within the city once I and mind settled into it.
