《Luna》Operation Bloodhound, case 2

In an air-raid shelter ten kilometers away from St Mary's Hospital, the armed men received orders. The real cargo truck started the engine.
"Bring the things here," Ilich's voice came over the intercom. "Watch out for your surroundings."
"OK," the armed man looked back, "Our chemical experts have arrived, and they will carry out the final inspection of the goods immediately."
While they were talking, two chemical experts arrived at the scene. They wore airtight hood and heavy boot soles on the cement floor, with a "creak" sound of metallic materials. Their faces were cloaked in helmets that no one could not read their faces. None of the armed men around them dared to raise their heads and look straight into their dark eyes under the goggles. Compared with the goods these two madmen possessed, the assault rifles and howitzers in their hands were like toy guns in kindergarten.
"Is it in there?" asked one of the chemical experts. From the thick mask, his voice together with the heavy breath, sounded drifting and flickering.
"Yes, it's all in there." stammered the armed man, as if he had been threatened with a gun.
"Please wait for five minutes," said another expert, who appeared to be a foreigner, in a deliberate Russian accent with a lot of retroflex. "After checking, we'll knock on the door for three times as a signal."
"All right. But Colonel…… "The leader hesitated." You’d better hurry up. Colonel….. He has no interests of waiting. "
"Nor do we like to be urged by others," said the ruthless chemical expert with indifferent sound, "Tell the colonel to mind his own business if he really has correct knowledge of it. Five minutes of inspection, not a minute less, not a second less. I warn you, there won't be a single living mosquito left in a square mile if the spillage happened from this thing. "
He slammed the door closed, leaving the armed man stunned on the scene.

"Crazy guy….." he muttered and picked up the intercom.
"All units attention! Keep on alert. We'll......leave about five minutes later. "
At the same time, inside the shelter, two chemical experts looked at each other and walked towards the goods that scared everyone-a cone-shaped warhead attached to a bracket.
"Let's begin, shall we?" asked the expert with a foreign accent.
“Да.” Answered the other side.
The two men approached the vessel cautiously. One of them held the bracket in both hands, the other groped for the code tray. Turning it for several times, he took out a glass jar filled with yellowish-brown oily liquid. A puff of white smoke emanated from the mouth of the jar, and the expert with a foreign accent shivered his hand unconsciously.
"Steady, steady." said the other man. "It won't explode.”
"Sorry, I shouldn't be so excited," said the foreign expert, shaking his head and relieving with a long sigh. "It's only the first time I've seen something like this outside the lab."
"It is normal to be afraid of," said the expert standing on the opposite. "Only an ignorant fool would pay no attention to the devil."
"I am a little surprised," puzzled the foreign expert, "The liquid…… Can it really kill 70,000 people in a second? "
"You've been in the Garden of Eden in the laboratory for a long time, Andrei Dzagoev. You know nothing about this fallen Babylon," snorted the expert on the opposite, examining the jar's cooling system. "Novichok, The most evil thing man has ever invented……. It could only be worse than that. Think it over. "He smiled coldly." A warhead with poisonous substances. If possible, in London, Rome, Paris, or Berlin…… Considering the seasons and the wind, you can detonate it anywhere in Europe and create a depopulated zone as large as Luxembourg. The condensing system is OK and as for the temperature…… "He said, looking at the small meter on the jar." It’ll keep stable at minus 25 degrees Celsius. "

"Airtight is perfectly intact," the foreign expert nodded and gestured, "There was no leak."
He put the jar back slowly.
"Хорошо.” The expert turned his head and said, "Tell them ready to go."
They stepped to the container, knocked the door thrice, right behind the truck. "See, finished, 5 minutes, no more, no less," the expert said with ease, "Hey, he's not gonna trouble you, right?"
"I'm afraid, " the armed man opened the gate, urged, "because he's mad now. You'd better be hurry, he's quarreling with his guest."
The expert assured he would give explanations to the colonel. As the door shut, the container darkened, his partner seized his thraot, faster than a cobra. The chemical expert was too shocked and he haven’t made any sound for the sudden attack. A sharp dagger thrust into the back of his head.
The foreign expert lay down the body, took of his chemical mask, and unpacking his gear box, took out a SCAR L PDW. "Lieutenant Fox, this is Major," he said, lowering his voice and speaking to the radio. "I've sneaked into the car. Molotov's big toy has been confirmed. Report your situation. "
"Roger that, Major, this is Fox," replied a younger woman. "I have arrived at the sniper site, waiting for the next command. Over. "
"Any suspicious movements?"
"The enemy is following the course," replied Helen, "No extra vehicles, no sudden change of direction. And......Major, two other convoys are driving towards the meeting place from the eastern and south-western corners of the hospital. Over. "
Major moved a little closer to the cab, tried to listen to the communication between the driver and his accomplice.
"Nothing unusual." Major sighed lightly, "Where is our asset?"
"Major, it seems that…… Well, he was talking to a guy in a brown jeep. And, he seems….excited. "
"Don't worry, he won't be in danger until the goods arrive," Major said, trying harder to get to the edge of the operator cab. "Now Molotov pays all his attention to him, he won't even be aware of the next move. His time is at hand. "
"Hope so, Major."
"Lieutenant, your voice doesn't sound right," Major said in stern, "I can here your intense breath. What happened?"
"Major, I, I'm a little worried, "Helen said honestly. “I know I shouldn't, but that weapon…… Novichok. Can it…really kill 70,000 people, right? "
"Don't think about that," Song Yinuo interrupted her. "All you have to do is keep an eye on Molotov and kill him on command. I'll take care of the rest."
The voice on the other side was silent.
"Yinuo, I'm sorry."
"Call me Major, Lieutenant Fox." Major said, "And, no apologize."
The car bumped and made a slight turn. Major held the jar full of poison in his hand as he examined his personal weapon.
"No, I mean…… Major, if…" Lieutenant Helen Fox sighed slightly, "what if I……fail, like the last time? Can you deal with them alone? "
"Lieutenant," Major said firmly. "Get yourself in good shape. Don't think about losing it. That was just maneuver. "
He slowly moved toward the door with the right hand extended to the door plug and the left hand to fill the box magazine into the submachine gun, and then refolded the gun.
"Helen, you're the best sniper I've ever trained," he thought, softening his tone. "No one in the world can shoot better than you. Remember what you told me------"
A wry smile came from the other side of the radio.
"Yes," Helen smiled. "------‘hold your back.' "
"And you will. " Major said. "It'll be okay.”
He put on his helmet and left the last message in a muffled voice.
