"Arg..." Romnick struggled to wake up as he thought about their predicament.
Romnick opened his eyes with difficulty, looking at his surroundings, he notices that Jack and Arvin were lying on the ground. Romnick suddenly recalls those men who kidnapped them as a thought surface from his mind. 'Those guys are not after my mother, right.'
Shaking his head in dismay, he approached Jack and Arvin to wake them up.

After the sound of slapping resounded in the empty room ended, Arvin woke up and shouted. "Romnick, damn you!" Touching his swell up cheeks, he glared furiously at Romnick as he thought 'Why did I know this brute!' in tears.
"Shut up, don't play around, those guys will hear you;" Romnick warned.
'Play around, my ass!' Recalling their situation, Arvin hurriedly shut up, as he was aware of the situation.
The two approached Jack to wake him up when Romnick was about to reach him. They saw him move, afraid that he will get a slapped if he continued to pretend, Jack stood up and stared at two, "I am awake."
Romnick was stunned while Arvin gritted his teeth. 'Dammit, why the hell I am the only one who got that slapped.'
Ignoring their expression, Jack asked. "So. what now?"
"Why don't we try opening the door." Romnick scratches his cheeks.
"Fool, we are captive, so of course the door was locked, and you expect them to leave the door open?" Arvin sneered as he still bears the grudge for that slap.
"Ah, it open;" Jack exclaimed.
Hearing Jack shout, Arvin turned his head and was about to retort. "Ah, they left it open dammit!". A dumb expression appeared on his face as he saw the door wide open.
"See, didn't I tell you." Romnick raised his head with a wide grin on his face.
Looking at his grin, Arvin grabs his hair in a frenzy as he curses. 'What the hell!'
"Honestly, Jack how can you keep that calm face of yours, are you not afraid that something may happen to us?" Seeing the calm on his face, Arvin asked seriously.
"No, I already don't know, what being afraid is;" Jack answered with an emotionless face after he acquired the power to fight his fate, the feeling of pain and fear disappeared along with the other emotion as his power increase.

Arvin didn't respond, but his eyes contain a hint of pity as he looks at Jack. Who doesn't know about the famous zero of Freed University?
Jack was known as waste, because his exam and athletic test always at the bottom, having a worse grade and physical strength made him famous in opposite way.
"Strange, why didn't we encounter any of the guys who kidnapped us?" Walking out of the room carefully, the three of them hide in every corner of the building to avoid the notice of the kidnappers. When they got outside, Romnick turns his and look at Jack and Arvin. "Don't you also found the situation strange?"
Arvin nodded. "Yes, It strange, we didn't encounter any of the kidnappers."
"Could it be that they eat something that made their stomach ache and looks at the public comfort room to relieve themselves?" Romnick said with a serious expression as if what he said was the fact.
'I don't want to rebut and only get myself in an embarrassing situation, so my good brother can you be serious once or else I will believe you if you said that earth reaches its end.' Arvin was on the verge of tears.
"Well, the most important thing is that we are safe, we are delayed for three hours because we fainted. Furthermore, it is safer to take shelter on our house as the bodyguards there is on the other level." Romnick said proudly, but his thought is on something else.
'What happened? Where are those guys who kidnapped us, did the bodyguard who's my mother assigned to protect me save us?'
'Well, it's fine as long as we are safe.' Letting out a sigh, Romnick shook his head as he leads his friends to his house.
Jack who read his thoughts, let out a bitter smile as he knew all the things happen in the factory.
Three hours before they left the factory.
"The hell with those six, this will be the last time I will come out;" A blue-eyed youth complained as he looks the two twelve years old kid lying in the ground bounded with a rope.
"Txk, troublesome, if I didn't fear that I will damage their brain. I already made a move to take down those ants." Acedia said lazily.

'Don't do that.' A cold voice resounded in the mind of blue-eyed youth when he said those words.
"Don't worry you fool." Acedia lazily smiled as he knew his thoughts.
"Hey, when will those kids regain their consciousness?"
Breaking through to the 1st level of body tempering his sense improved by two-fold so he can hear their conversation, spreading his psychic force, he saw a small man around 145cm while the other man was a tall guy full of a tattoo.
"Around three hours." The small man said.
"Amazing, using a needle as a weapon, where did you learn those from?" The guy with tattoo said in admiration.
"Ehe." The small laugh and didn't respond.
"Excuse me, can you please kill yourself?" Suddenly, an impatient voice interrupted their conversation.
The small man was shocked as he didn't sense any presence approached them, he was already on the 3rd level of body strengthening so how could someone escape his sense?
Possessing the strength of more than 1000 jin, he knew that this youth had the power to kill him because the sense of threat alarms him.
Cold sweat drenches his body as he looks at the youth in front of him, the urged to run already invaded his consciousness as he steps back ready to run given an opportunity.
"Who are you?" The tall man roared as he charged at Acedia with a mighty force.
'This fool.' When the small man saw the youth who mysteriously appeared beside them, a shiver ran through his body as he didn't expect that the one they held captive was a young prodigy expert, so he retreated at the fastest speed as he knew that fighting this youth will lead to his defeat.
Unlike the tall man, the small man was a cautious person as he knew that this youth who can approach them undetected was not someone he can handle. Fleeing with his fastest speed, the small man already retreated 20 meters away from Acedia, but when he was about to relax, a figure mysteriously appeared in front of you him.
"Well, If I knew that killing yourself was quite hard for you two, why did I bother and make more things difficult." Acedia looks at the small with his blue eyes.
The man was terrified and instinctively fired a poison needle on Acedia. Shaking his head, Acedia looks at the needle that aims at his face as he used his psychic power to stop them, staring at the small man, a bored expression appeared on his face. "If you are this weak, why did you waste my precious time. Well, you are perfect materials for my first lesson."
"Jack, I am a part your soul who comprehended the concept of time and space as your body strength increased, the psychic power within your body will grow alongside with it. When you reach a certain level, you can control the space like this." Acedia raised his hand aiming at the enemies head then he clenches it into a fist as the space around his head distort then the small man head exploded as blood and gore spread to the ground.
"You see, using that simple move almost wasted all of your psychic force, so I recommend that you use my comprehension of time and space when you reach the 9th level of body strengthening or else your soul will enter into a dormant mode and never wake up again." Displeased Acedia frown as he already expected this body to be this weak.
"Can you defeat all of those guys?" After a moment of silence, Jack asked in an emotionless face.
"Honestly, defeating those guys with your current level is quite difficult as the man in the middle that you saw before your friends faint were already in the 6th level of body tempering, but it was different from me as I already have a domain that can manipulate them whenever I want. Haha, you don't have to worry, you can learn this thing from the future." Acedia said.
Jack listen earnestly, while Acedia taught him with his usual lazy expression. "In the first place, why are you using the psychic force stored inside your body, if you already have the heavenly energy in the surroundings." He muttered as he silently made his way through the group of kidnappers.
"Damn, I want to sleep already, time to go killing." Acedia exposed an evil smile.

Luck And Chronomancy
Time Magic is the best magic as everyone knows, although there are lots of unique Talents in the world. Most people only remember Haste because it is hard to get to higher Phases of Chronomancy. That is still enough to make the Talent iconic. A lucky enough Aleatory Talent can position you for greatness or leave you languishing in obscurity. The only true equality in the world is when that glowing message pops up at 8 years old. Even if it doesn't activate until you are an adult at 16 you still know. Sure you can find a new dungeon spawn and get another chance at a rare Talent, even this one, but you have to already be ready to delve into the *Far Wilds*, which is far easier with wealth or family power. This is the story of where my good fortune took me and the difference it made, even among a party of 7 others including an Arcanist. It is a journey of magic and monsters but also math, which some think is actually worse. Luckily I was born with Intelligence and Focus as my personal traits, and my parents were scholars. Of course Chronomancy can also be a frontline combat talent. Versitility well beyond other Elder Talents like Gravity, Abstraction, or Arcana. Might could have worked for me, too. I also met a runaway princess. All the best adventures have a princess. She hated being a noble and we didn't get married but it still counts. Besides she really filled out our front line. All that Leadership training came in handy. I still don't know where she's from. Who cares? How well Haste goes with giant hammers is what's important. I never learned much about anyone in the party, except the one I grew up with. I'm not a people person. I just wanted to optimize dungeon clearing time. *******Story Details******* No romance, politics, or traumatizing content, slice of life, or even dialogue. 1st person narration, like a guide/adventure log. 2000-7000 words a day, maybe 40-60% rpgish combat log with some reasoning on combat decisions, with the rest character Talent discussion and progression stuff. 8 person party with a decent variety in roles. Party members usually have 2 primary functions. Told from the support/control Chronomancer's perspective. Each party member will have 6 Basic/Background Traits, then 3 actual Talents with abilities. Capstone from their Educational Institution, Arbritrary as a gift from the temples, and Aleatory which is decided at birth, revealed at 8, and activated after adulthood at 16. Aleatory Traits ignore requirements and are random why is why they are so important. They'll gain new Talents from finding Dungeons to consume in the *Wilds*. Mature dungeons in cities can provide *Challenges* to raise the Phase of a Talent, up to 3 times from 1 to 4. Each character will get to roughly 8 non-Trait Talents. Attributes come exclusive from Talents, are required by Talents, and provide various effects as well. I designed about 220 Talents with abilities, 4 in each of 4 phases. "Traits" are just Attribute stuff. I'm not sure how many will be detailed in the story, more than 100 for sure. I used Talents because I want to be free of the legacy of tabletop. Half those rules are just because of the limitations inherent in a pre-computer ttrpg. This story mostly uses combat Talents, although like 1/3 of the 220 are for crafting and other society and economy stuff. If you really wanted to be a Thief you might take Intuition, Awarness, and Might for Basic Traits and Deftness, Manipulation, and Trickery for Family/Education. Then you'd pick Acrobatics, and Climbing for Educational Capstone and Arbitrary traits. You Aleatory Trait might be Shadow(Light/Dark) Magic, Umbramancy. A Bard might swap Dexterity for Charisma, Music for Acrobatics, and have gotten Illusion(Shadow/Sound(Air/Force)) for their Aleatory Trait.
