Chapter One
City of Trênt - Continent of Nies
The hustling and bustling of the wet market was a sight to behold for an eleven year old Skye. He was given the task to shop for meat and fishes that would last them for a week. It was his first time receiving a chore from his mother and he sure as hell won't like this one to be the last one. Being the only child of House Vjorn he lived a sheltered life. Servants and guards were the only people he could interact with, if you could even call that an interaction. Being noble of birth gives you a lot perks but it doesn't come without a prize. He could never play with the servant's kids nor he can go outside to play due to reasons her mother never shared with her. Now that he was eleven he pestered his mother to let him accompany the servants in their trip to the market which surprisingly with a few weeks gave up with the condition of having guards around him.
Six guards encircled him while the eight servants followed after him. People of common birth gave space for them to get through while merchants called to him to look at their wares.
"Young master how about taking a look at these precious jewels, surely you would like something for they are all valuable" said the nearest merchant.
He was about to turn when he sensed something akin to an aura. Like a flame to a moth, it was calling him. An ordinary looking stone gave off a faint aura as if responding to his thoughts. He was filled with urge to touch it.
"What is this?" he asked pointing to the stone in the display table.
"A dragonstone eh?. You got good eyes for such a young lord. Are you from a Merchant House?" asked the merchant.
"No sire, I am Skye of House Vjorn. To whom the pleasure am I speaking with?" Vjorn answered with a perfect bow."No need to be so formal Lord Skye. My name is Geoff from House Earl it is a pleasure to finally meet the son of the Lord of Horned Dragons" Geoff said with a bow of his own.

"The pleasure is all mine"said Vjorn "Going back to the discussion Lord Skye, a dragonstone is just like any other normal stone except that they were exposed to the spiritual essence of dragons. A simple one like this is used for rituals to awaken dormant spiritual aura considering a Spiritual Master of the 50th rank would be guiding the ritual" explained Geoff.
"Hmm, may I take a look at it please?" Skye grunted in response. The urge of touching the dragonstone was nearly unbearable during the conversation that he might go mad if this still continues.
"Of course Lord Skye" replied Geoff as he pulled out the stone in the glass panel.
The moment Geoff gave the dragon-stone to Skye a blinding light took over the entire city. A mirage of a golden serpentine dragon rose to the sky. The dragon soon halted only to change as an abyss colored one contrasting the bright light that was blinding the whole city. Shockwave caved deep in the Herald as a slight tremor was felt in the surface. As soon as the light retracted back to the dragonstone the abyss serpentine dragon faded fast enough for anyone in the vicinity to see. Skye Vjorn was suspended in the air his eyes devoid of any color. His clothes disappeared amidst the event. With a hue of golden light surrounding his naked body. And soon his body fell down on Herald, only to be caught by one of his guards. Every other person in the market was dumbfounded, each and everyone who witnessed the miraculous event had their mouths agape. Then a guard kneeled in front of the unconscious boy. Then another guard kneeled and so the others. The servants soon followed. Then the merchant and little by little the commoners, the nobles and all the remaining people went down on their knees. A miracle happened and news of it will be heard all over the continents of Herald.

House of Vjorn - City of Trênt
"What happened to him?" said the panic stricken Ahria.
"He has awakened milady" the guard responded.

"That shouldn't happen Skye has yet to undergo the awakening ritual!" replied Ahria with a hint of anger in her voice.
"I don't really know what happened milady. He just touched the dragonstone and the next thing we knew the city was engulfed in holy light and we found milord suspended in the air with the eyes of God"the guard answered meekly.
"Eyes of God?" Ahria asked
"Yes milady. His eyes were like the light itself." the guard answered.
Ahria did not know how to respond. If only her husband was there he would know what to do.
"Enough of this! I need a Spiritual Master of the Healing Waters" Ahria ordered.
"Now!"she said in a stern manner.

"He has indeed awoken Lady Ahria" the healer started "There has been recorded cases of the same events but to witness it in this era is truly a blessing. For now, he is unconscious and we don't know exactly when he will wake up. We just have to wait for him to recover and for his spiritual essence to stabilize"
"Do you know what caused this? What should we expect? Would something bad happen to my son? Is there any downside to this? Would this affect his cultivation?" Ahria muttered in rapid succession in worry for her child.
"Calm down my lady. First of all we don't have any records of proof of what may cause this event. Most theories are because of the childs innate talent. The emperor of Cornelius had the same issues like Lord Skye, it turns out that the Emperor was a genius amongst geniuses. To answer the question if something bad will happen to Lord Skye, nothing will. It is ordinary for all those who awakened their spiritual essence to be unconscious due to the body adjusting with the now awakened spiritual essence. And no there is no downside to this and no it will not affect his cultivation at all." the healer answered in a calm demeanor.
"Thank you for your help Lord Drow" replied Ahria, now calm with all of her questions answered.
"Someone tell Lord Grey to relay the message to my husband" Ahria commanded the servant just as the door opened.
"No need my Lady, Lord Vjorn is on the way" answered a robed figure.
"Thank you Lord Grey" Ahria smiled

The Tundra of Nies
A group of knight was travelling home when a blinding light came from the north of their direction, the City of Trênt, their home. A golden serpentine dragon followed suit. Before they could see the end of the spectacle a golden haired man in a golden armor shouted
"Wyvern Riders on me! All Spiritual Master who can fly with me!"
"Lord Grey please lead the rest of the knights to the city. March forward in a pace to reach the city within a day" said the golden haired man
"As you command, my Lord" answered the robed man.
A black ring etched with white runes came to existence together with a couple more of multi-colored rings. With a single thought the golden haired man flew up in the air together with a band of silver armored knights. Wyverns started flapping their wings while a single phoenix dove upwards. A sigil of a horned serpentine dragon flared to existence as the Vjorns of Dragon started marching forward.

City of Creesè
"My lord, another fated by the dragon is born" a man in a robe spoke, his voice as cold as ice.
"Gather all our men, we'll move on dusk" the other man spoke. Chills ran down the spine of the robed man as his master spoke. The robed man answered
"As you wish, my lord"
Like a shadow he disappeared to the darkness as his master's face was now smiling.
"We only need one dragon. If another is born, then the other one must die"
