"That guy's voice seems familiar. Well this is not our first meeting after all." Shun thought as he walked in the hallways of the building. His eyes started to wander around.
"Shun!" A recognizable voice called him.
"Yuya." He called him back after seeing him sitting in the hallways with Rai.
"What happened? Did he asked you about the dungeon incident?" asked Yuya.
"Wait. Why would he–"
"I told him." Rai quickly interrupted.
"Wait, what?!" Shun narrowed his eyes.
"I told him that, you're the one who killed the dungeon boss...alone." Rai stood up, looked at Shun and said,"look, I'm sorry."
"Seriously?" Shun loosened his facial expression and said, "he didn't asked anything about it though." Shun suddenly felt in danger.
"Nah, I'm sure they won't believe your story. You're a man of exaggeration, y'know." Yuya joked "Maybe we should at least focus on the major problems" Yuya added.
Rai and Shun quickly looked at him with curiosity. Both of them quickly looked at each other and slowly sat down.
"So what's that 'major problem' you were talking about." Rai whispered.
"Stop whispering, you're making it sounds like we're having a private perverted meeting." Yuya uttered.
"What's the deal? Just tell us already." Shun bagan to lose his patience.
"Look, guys. Are you guys even looking when we entered that gloomy room?!" Yuya looked at the two.
"I see. Are we going to find a way to bury Mei's corpse without a trace?" Rai guessed with a serious look on his face.
"That's horrible. Probably the worst suggestion coming from you." Yuya give Rai a pitying look.
"Did you shake your head or something?" Shun rubbed Rai's back with his hand and said. "It's okay, I understand."
"You two, don't make fun of me. I seriously cannot follow our discussion." Rai whined.
*Yuya inhales*
"Okay listen up."
Shun and Rai quickly payed close attention.
"Right now, Hana's family are still mourning for Mei's death. And Hana is currently bedridden. I feel bad about what we did earlier, we're also the one who took them with us I the raid so I feel responsible for what happened." Yuya genuinely spoked.
"Yeah me too." A series of flashbacks of the incident started playing on Shun's head.
"Now, to lessen the weight on their shoulders. I want to help Hana recover." Yuya explained.
"I think that s good idea, considering everyone, including your sister is affected. I think that'll really help them." Rai commented. Shun almost laughed after hearing his accurate suggestion.
"What's wrong about her condition anyway?" Shun bluntly asked.
"Infinate mana loss." Yuya quickly responded. "Her mana is continuously decreasing at a higher rate, that even her body can't withstand the pressure." Yuya added.

"And what's the cause of her condition?" Shun added.
"There's a crack in her soul, causing her mana to flow outside without her knowing." Yuya explained. Shun payed close attention at him. "The cause of that crack is a complete mystery. Actually, everything in this game is a complete mystery." Yuya added.
"So, what do we do now?" Shun mumbled.
"First we need to join a guild so that we can attend the guild assembly. Without it, we can't meet that person." Yuya explained clearly.
"Guild? There's a guild now?" Shun looked at Yuya with a confused face.
"Apparently, yes. There are 7 guilds located in Japan and 3 of them are in Tokyo." Yuya explained.
"I see. So what is this 'guild assembly' thing?" Shun looked at Yuya with a curious face.
"Well apparently, the guilds are having serious meeting about clearing the danger zones that surrounding Tokyo." Yuya explained as he stood up.
Shun looked up at him and said, "Really? So monsters are normal thing now?"
"Yeah. As far as we know, the whole Saitama, Yamanashi, Kanagawa, and Chiba prefecture are danger zones. We don't have any access to the neighbouring cities, even Ibaraki and Tochigi has a barrier, they don't have a danger zone though . One of the border barriers will open in 18 hours." Rai explained as he navigated the virtual map.
"That's another reason why we need to come." Shun mumbled as he stands up. "Who are we meeting anyway." He asked.
"Ao Satsuki, he's a support wizard that specializes in time restoration instead of healing a wound. I'm sure he'll find something out." Yuya explained as they walked down the stairs of the hospital building.
"How did you even know that much of information?" Shun looked at Yuya.
"I'm your team leader during the raid of course I know everyone who joined the raid." Yuya answered with a smirk.
"I see. So we need to join their guild first?" Rai suddenly spoked. "I heard that he was in the strongest guild in Tokyo. I doubt that we can even speak with him."
"No. We're joining a different guild. That'll increase our chances." Yuya explained.
"Why don't we create our own guild?" Shun suggested.
"You need one million gold coins to buy a guild card for registration. You also need to be acknowledge by the system." Rai responded.

"That's bullsh*t." Shun whined after checking his gold coins. "So what guild are we joining?"
"That's a good question?" Yuya smiled. Once they reached outside, they saw unfamiliar people standing in front of them.
"Guys they are from the Black dragon guild." Yuya finally introduced the people in front of them.

Meanwhile, Rai was too busy navigating the system's map, and Shun was too amazed by the new outside world that they can't pay attention to the people in front of them.
"What the hell... I guess floating indicators and some creepy looking building is normal thing now." Shun is still busy daydreaming.
"Oii, you two. Pay close attention!" Yuya raised his voice.
Rai and Shun looked at Yuya. They slowly turned their head and finally noticed the unfamiliar faces looking at them with cold glares.
They took a quick glance at Yuya and whispered, "who are these people?"
"As I were saying. We are going to join their guild." Yuya pointed his opened hands at them.
Shun narrowed his eyes and
take a closer look at them. The first impressions he has in mind is, "a weird looking oldman. A violent woman and an annoying looking gangster." All types of people that annoys him the most is standing in front of him.
"What the... They look strong." Rai's impression was quite the opposite. "I like them." He smiled.
"Then it's settled." Yuya said.
"Better than nothing." Shun didn't have time to complain, he just nodded and agreed.
"Where's the other members?" Rai whispered at Yuya.
"We...are the 'other members'" Yuya jokingly responded.
"Let us introduce ourselves." The old looking man spoked.
"I'm Ryuga, the guildmaster." The oldman introduced himself.
"I'm Sena, a long range wizard." The pink haired woman spoked arrogantly.
"Taiga, I'm a tank." The gangster looking guys spoked. He voice was surprisingly gentle.
Shun anchored his attention at their HP nada level indicator.
[RYUGA]
LEVEL: 37
HP: 13000/13000
[SENA]
LEVEL: [HIDDEN]
HP: 5700/5700
[TAIGA]
LEVEL: 28
HP: 7600/7600
"One of them is more or less stronger than me. Not bad",Shun grinned in excitement. "This one is hiding her level. A new system feature?"
"Now let's begin the guild recruitment process." oldman Ryuga said. "Give me your hands."
"Wait what? We're doing it here, outside?" Rai tilted his head and raised an eyebrow.
"Just obey the orders." Yuya gently pushed Rai.
"Face you hands down." Taiga gently suggested.
"Now then," Ryuga took out a stamp and gently pressed it at the back of Yuya's hand. "There we go."
*Notification rings*
[YOU'VE JOINED A GUILD]
WELCOME TO [BLACK DRAGON] GUILD!
"Chant [info] if you want to see the guild information"
"Chant [Open SI] if you want to check the shared inventory."
"Chant [Close] to close the current window."
Shun felt confused with the pop-ups, so he chanted, "[Close]!". The floating virtual window vanished.
"Shun, let's go!" Yuya called him.
Shun looked at him and said, "where?"
"To the guild assembly hall, the guild tower." Yuya pointed 3 o'clock at the tall white tower standing in the middle of Tokyo. The tower is so tall that it's even visible to the whole Kanto region of Japan.
"That's a normal thing...that's a normal thing..." Shun keeps on murmuring in surprise as he saw floating vehicles in the sky of Tokyo.
"I think that's 20 km away from us. Are we riding those floating things?" Shun guessed.
"Ahhh, yes if your talking about that thing," Sena pointed at the sky.
Looking above him, Shun stared at the giant train-looking thing, floating in the sky. "A modern public transportation?"
"Yeah, that was introduced yesterday, after the system finished rebuilding itself." Ryuga leads the way to the floating train.
"You know, it can travel 600km/h. It we'll be there in a minute or two." Yuya happily explained as the entered the floating train station and hit the elevator botton.
[CHOOSE DESTINATION]
[ENTER LOCATION]
"Take us to the Guild assembly tower!" Ryuga chanted.
["The train station for White tower is in the 8th floor"]
"Are you sure it's okay for us to tag along?" Rai suddenly spoked, looking at that oldman, Ryuga.
"It's not necessary for you to attend the assembly, but if you want to meet Ao. Then, speaking with his guildmaster is the quickest way." explained Ryuga.
"The White Raven's guildmaster? You mean Gojou Yukimura?" Yuya curiously asked after hearing the name.
"I heard he's the strongest man in Kanto region. He manage to take down three A-rank boss at once during their raid back in Harajuku station." Rai commented.
"Three A-rank boss? What a monster," Shun surprisingly commented. "Even at full power, I can barely win against an B-rank boss. But that guy managed to kill three A-rank boss alone. He's a real monster."
"But you did managed to kill that S-Rank boss inside that dungeon right?" Taiga curiously asked as they entered the transportation vehicle.
"How did you know–" Shun looked at Taiga.
"Rumors has been spreading around. About you, being able to kill an S-rank boss even though you're under-leveled." Taiga interrupted.
"Believe it or not, I don't have any idea how I managed to kill that monster. I just went inside, fell asleep and when I woke up the dungeon boss is gone." Shun bluntly answered.
"That's a strange experience." Sena smiled at Shun before the vehicle started moving at full speed.
"We'll be there in a minute." Yuya let go a deep sigh.

Legends of Balarel - A Leisurely LitRPG
Glenn Redwood has longed to become an Adventurer since he was a young boy, and has focused every waking moment on that goal since turning 14. Answering the challenge of the Gods of Balarel, he has fought Monsters, Leveled, and grown stronger. Yet the day before his 16th birthday, the day he will earn his dream or lose it forever ... the Gods have made a wager. And no mere mortal wishes to draw the attention of the Gods. ***** This is my crack at writing a leisurely LitRPG. My focus is more on telling interesting stories set in a world where people live under a MMORPG-like ruleset enforced by the Gods, and less on writing another story where the MC gets massive stat boosts every chapter before heading off to wreck the world. There will be plenty of blue tables (it’s LitRPG!) but my Adventurers are just starting out. This fic is about the journey, not the destination, so expect everyone to Level ... leisurely. Updates: M-T-W-Th. I’ll post 3000-4000 words a day, or 12000-15000 words a week. If this posting pace ends up being too much for me, I reserve the right to slow posts down a bit. Inspirations: Blessed Time (Royal Road) Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? (Anime) Trails in the Sky (JRPG Series) MC: My MC is a genuinely good person who’s both a talented warrior and tactically savvy. He prefers to solve problems without violence but will resort to force if necessary to protect his friends or innocent people. I’m tired of stories starring anti-hero MCs facing endless doom and gloom, so I wanted to write a nice guy with an adventurous spirit who helps people in a thriving fantasy world. That’s all.

The overgrown mansion
The main character returns to her deceased recluse uncle's home to get his effects in order. This is the beginning of a lovecraftian story inspired by somebody telling me about the Brombeermonster, a particulary nasty blackberry shrub overtaking her family's abandonned home. A backdrop for a story about eery and unexplained things if I ever heard about one. I will post the two parts I already posted on reddit; more maybe if there is interest from the community.
