"Aughh..." Shun groan after opening his eyes and his blurry vision started to clear out. He quickly tried to get up but two arms is holding him from where he was laying. "Ugh! Yuya..." He quickly recognized the person on his right side.
"Idiot, Don't stand up yet!" Another voice spoked from his left side. Shun anchored his attention to the person next to him.
"Ah, Kai... I'm totally fine, now. Why am I even laying here?" Shun mumbled after noticing Rai.
"Kai?!" Rai shows a confused expression.
"Where am I?" Shun mumbled.
"In a hospital." Rai bluntly answered. An answer that surprised Shun.
"I thought everything got destroyed during the game lunch." Shun curiously glanced at Rai. "What the he happened,"
"Don't speak, just shut up and take a nice rest." Yuya responded, ignoring the question.
"Look, I'm totally fine"
"Don't 'm fine' me. You're clearly not okay. You've been bedridden since yesterday till tonight." Yuya gently grips Shun, stopping him from standing up.
"Ehh? Really?" Shun raised both of his eyebrows, making a confused face.
"Yeah, you've been unconscious after we fought against Touma yesterday." Yuya explained.
"Ahh, that's right! We were fighting him yesterday. Did we won?! Where is he?! Is Rein and Hana okay?!" Shun curiously asked after remembering what happened.
"As for Touma, long story short he's dead." Yuya explained without showing any expression.
"Wait, what? he's... Touma is dead?" Shun gasped in surprise.
"Now, if you're worried about Rein. She's fine, she's outside. She just woke up an hour ago." Rai mumbled as he chew the rice balls he was eating.
"Hana on the other hand, she was on the other side of this room. She was still unconscious... He suffered too much mana loss." Yuya slowly explained.
"Can you help me get out of bed?" Shun looked at Yuya. "I just need to–"
"You can't..."
"Please," Shun begged with his face frowned.
"Okay fine, Rai help me." Yuya poked Rai who's delicious eating all the rice balls on the table.
While getting up, another flashback memory from that battle suddenly played inside his head.
"Kill him!"
"He's you're enemy!"
"HAHAHAHAHAHHA"
The blinding light that he saw that day and the whispering voices that he heard after coming in contact with the light. He finally remembered all of them. Suddenly, a loud slapping noise echoed inside the room as Shun felt his face going numb.
"Shun! Are you okay?!"
"What happened? Did you fell asleep again?"
He heard their voices but their voice is too low to understand what their saying. Slowly, Shun regained his senses and finally hears Yuya and Rai talking. The first thing he noticed was the pain in his cheeks slowly fading.
"What was that?" Shun confusedly asked.
"Sorry, I had to slap you. But for god's sake, stop spacing out... for a second we thought that you passed away." Rai bluntly spoked.
"So I... really fell asleep. What is that voice I heard?" Shun murmured.
"You're body is still numb and stiff since you've been bedridden for almost 24 hours... try stretching your arms and feet." Yuya suggested, helping Shun regain his balance.
"Wait there something...I should check first."

They stood in front of the door where Hana was in. "This door was just next to mine. But we took decade walking in the hallways?!" Shun mumbled.
"You nearly died, so many sh*ts happened in the world and you're talking about distance." Rai jokingly responded. Yuya quietly and slowly turned the doorknob to open the door. They slowly walk in trying not to make any noise. Inside the quite room, five people were sitting around a bedridden patient.
Shun quickly recognized the person laying on the bed. It was the unconscious Hana and an unfamiliar person next to her was holding her hand. Shun carefully looked around him before approaching Yuya. "Who are these people?!" He accidentally spoked in loud voice.
"Shhhhh..." Rai signalled Shun to shut up.
"They're Hana's family and friends!" Yuya whispered in his ears.
"Ahhh I see... but speaking of family. Do you have a contact with Mei's family so that we can atleast offer some condolences." Once again Shun spoked loudly. But this time every person awake inside the room turned their heads towards him, giving him a strange look.
"I see, So that's what happened" The middle aged woman who's sitting near him spoked before putting her hands over her mouth and bowed her head.
"Did I said something wrong?!" Shun was really confused, he stared at the middle aged woman who lowered her head in front of him. She suddenly looked at him, Shun was surprised after seeing her face.
He saw nothing but sadness from her expression. In her eyes, he saw nothing but emptiness that'll never be filled again. Slowly, tears bagan to pour from her eyes as she let go a loud cry.
Shun can understand he sadness but he didn't know what's going on. "What's her problem?" Shun quickly angled his gaze at Yuya. "Why's she crying?" he whispered.
Yuya quickly pulled Shun into the corner and started explaining the situation at him.
"First, don't be shocked...okay!"
"Okay"
"Yesterday, thos guys came in here looking for Hana... and later after that we found out that Mie was Hana's elder sister. And technically, we didn't told them about her yet." Yuya carefully explained.
Shun suddenly felt dizzy from the confusing explanation but he completely understands the situation. At that moment, the guilt inside him started to awaken. Shun felt very embarrassed from what happened. He suddenly blurted something he shouldn't. All three of them end up bowing and apologizing for an hour at the family before they got out of that room to let them peacefully mourn over her death.
"I completely messed up!... This guilt is killing me!" Shun mumbled.
"I felt bad for them though" Shun added with a frowning expression.
"And who's fault was that?!" Rai looked at the two who dragged him in the mess.

"That was unfair," Shun mumbled.
"Umm, sorry to interrupt your bonding time...but can I borrow Shun Futaro for a minute or two." A mysterious man spoked, they quick anchored their attention to find the man speaking.
"Yuu-san." Rai quickly recognized the person and once again Shun couldn't follow.
"Ummm, what do you need from me?!" Shun uttered with a furious look on his face.
"It's been a week and too many things happened, so I'm not surprised that you can't recognize me." Yuu spoken in a gentle voice.
"I'm Yuu Sawamura and I am the police officer who holds the case of your mom and dad." Yuu bluntly spoked, Shun was shocked upon hearing it.
"I don't really." Shun was brought into a small room, there's only the two of them inside. Inside that small room was full of silence, they're facing each other while drinking a cup of coffee, sitting in a round table.
"I'm gonna go straight to the point. When I first heard your statement, I thought you're just making stories and imagining things. But after witnessing what happened to the world for the past three days. I finally found your story, believable." Yuu explained, breaking the silence.
"So, what do you want me to do?" Shun quickly responded as he took a quick glance at the officer's level.
"I want to reopen the case and do a separate investigation... that's if you wanted to cooperate." The middle aged man made a serious expression on his face.
"Don't bother, those people who killed them aren't human... you'll just end up dead." Shun arrogantly replied before standing up.
"Wait, I came here not to ask for permission. I'm gonna do it anyways. What I want is you to answer my questions." Yuu quickly hold Shun in place, begging not to go.
"Tsk... bothersome!" Shun whispered.
"Okay, I'm gonna tell you but... as soon as you found out anything that leads you to them. Don't ever try to fight against them."
"I understand!" Yuu expression suddenly lightened up.
"I was in my bedroom around nine in the morning, when I heard a loud banging sound coming from downstairs. I quickly got up to head down but then I heard my mom shouting."
"'Shun! Son! Don't come out of your room'but after hearing those words the smell of something burning started spreading across my room. After realizing that the house is on fire, I quickly opened the door to go out, as soon as I took a step on the stairs to check my parents downstairs."
"A person slashed me from behind. I was sure that a blade pierced my heart. After that, I collapsed and my body couldn't feel anything. After that I heard my dad's voice, and some screaming noises. That time all I can see are some faint light and noises. I felt myself getting engulfed by burning flames. My mind was blank but I saw a someone not too far away from me, grabbing my mom by the neck before I loose consciousness...." Shun explained the whole story.
"Yeah, but what did you saw that day is what's the deal." Yuu bluntly spoked.
"Yeah, I saw a humanoid creature with a head of a man, he has wings and his body was burning with red flames." Shun explained as detailed as possible while trembling.
"About the person who slashed you, when the paramedics found you we're unwounded so is it possible that there is someone who helped you escape death?" Yuu concluded before taking a sip of coffee.
"That's possible but...who?" Shun quickly responded.
"We don't know that yet but let's get more information about the changes after they passed away and the persons you encountered after the incident... aside from his appearances, do you have a way to recognize that person?" Yuu slowly explained.
"His smell." Shun moved his nose, remembering the sensation.
"His smell?" The middle aged man raised his eyebrow.
"He smells like holy water that you can find in churches, but once you inhales the satisfying smell. Your lungs will suffocate with the smell of blood." Shun trembled after remembering the disgusting sensation.
"That's weird," Yuu bluntly reacted.
"That's all I have...I'm leaving!" Shun started approaching the doorway.
"You're in a hurry, do you have something to do?!"
"Yeah, I'm doing something important... for a friend!" Shun turned his head and smiled before opening the door and walked outside.
"Okay thanks then." Yuu mumbled.

Ravyn's Nights - Book 3
Claire's life led her to love. Love led her to death. Death began her eternal struggle to retain both her love and her humanity through 5 centuries of endless nights. Book 3 covers the 19th century. "Ravyn's Nights" is a six book series, with each book covering a different century. Book 6 was actually started first, and it takes place in the near future, bringing the story to a final conclusion. I then started writing the rest of the series when I decided that I wanted to share the details of the life that made her into who she is in Book 6. At the time of posting the first chapter of the series, books 1-2-3 are completed and books four, five and six are in various states of completion. There is currently a novella following a side character that does include a few crossover chapters featuring the main character. The novella will be included in the completed versions of books 4 and 5.

Rage: Crisis / Consequence / ???
Its been ten years since Seth was given his powers, ten years since his town was driven mad by that very same power, and ten years since its source was shunted into his head. A species of energy beings, a people filled with regret for what their entrance onto this world caused. Regret for the deaths that town perpetuated, the devastation they brought, the blow they served to the once proud heroes of this world. Heroes Seth now hopes to join, hopes to heal and atone to for what transpired. But their wounds run deep, their ire sharp, and their acceptance thin. And to top it all off... Seth's power is run far deeper than he knows, and sees his world in a light all its own. This series is my first foray into authoring, with two parts out of at best four if the readership stands. But part three will still book end nicely otherwise. And I'm not stopping till then. It is action heavy with varied and ramping up fight scenes through out. (Book 1 is heavy / Book 2 a little lighter) It is bloody in places, mildly gory in others, and heavily gory in simulated places. Nothing truly horrifying, I think, but be warned. It has trauma. PTSD is a major part of the story, but I will never trust that I got it completely right, so your mileage may vary on how believable or impactful it is. Lastly it has language. Swearing ebbs and flows as the story progresses and attitudes harden or soften. Sometimes bleeding through into the narration... somehow.
