Shun reached the 2nd floor and finally saw the mysterious man face to face.
"Who the hell are you?" Shun questioned pointing his weapon at him with deadly glare. "What do you know?"
"What the hell? Seriously?" The man replied and chuckled. "You can tell it by just looking above my HP indicator" he thought.
"What's so funny?" Shun gavw him confused look, narrowed his eyes and tilted his head.
"Yuya was right, you really can't recognize people that aren't close to you." he replied before bursting in laughter. "But I'm even more surprise that you can't tell just by looking. Are you blind or something?." The man laughed in an annoying manner. Shun was a bit pissed off, but he always keeps in mind that he need information about Yuya's location.
"So, know Yuya?!" Shun curiously asked, "where is he?"
"Yeah, some sh*t happened. But anyway, what took you so long?" Rai answered, ignoring the question.
"I asked you a question and you answered with a question," Shun grumbled. "Don't srew with me." he gives him a cold glare.
"My name is Rai Hayama, I'm your classma– I mean former classmate and Yuya told me to wait for you here!" Rai explained, scratching his head.
"Classmate?... I'm really not good at remembering faces and names !" Shun answered. "But why would Yuya want me to go with this annoying guy?" Shun secretly murmured. "So sketchy." He fixedly stared at Rai with suspicion.
" Don't give me that look. You're giving me chills." Rai responded. "Don't worry, Yuya told me that you probably won't recognize anyone unless it was him!"
"Yeah, Yuya is the only one I know in this shitty school...so where is he?" Shun questioned.
"He left, he's going somewhere. He told me to wait for you. Let's spare the details for later."
"I see! We need to hurry, where are they?" Shun uttered.
"He's too far away, I've been waiting for you for about two and a half hours. We can't keep up with him." Rai responded. "The city was destroyed,we can't even recognize the directions. It's too dark outside and some monsters are still alive." Rai explained. "The communication system is also broken.
"Eh? Really? That's strange," Shun mumbled. "But anyway, how are we supposed to meet him or atleast communicate with him."
"How are we supposed to meet up with him, huh?!" Rai wondered. "We need to find a teleportation crystal, I guess."
Shun was surprised to Rai's suggestion. He looked at him with suspicion before whispering, "Are you perhaps, familiar with this game?"
"Eh, You didn't know? This game has a pre release testing online a few weeks ago. I just happen to see it though." Rai responded in joyful tone.
"You're too energetic! We should go outside to find those items right!?" Shun give an annoyed expression.
"That's no good, we don't even know if it's already in the system." Rai spoked in orotund voice.
"What do you mean?" Shun furrowed his eyebrows. "It should be, right?" he tilted his head.

"Well, considering the buildings floating outside and the monsters falling from somewhere. It seems like the system is under construction." Rai explained.
"Construction? Like what?... like incomplete?" Shun cocked his head.
"Yeah, there's no shop or daily task yet. So I assumed that maybe the game is still under construction or something similar." Rai mumbled.
"I see, so that's why we need to find out if the items we needed is already in the game, but how are we supposed to find out whether it's added or not? "Shun narrowed his eyes. "Is there some kind of indicator?"
"No, We need to find a raging cheetah, it's core is the teleportation crystal. Rai slowly explained. "We'll die before we can even laid hands on it though."
"I see, so those creatures are part of the game, huh." Shun mumbled. "But how many percentage is our chance of meeting that creature." he rubbed his head.
"Probably sixty percent," Rai responded.
"That's a lot, a perfect gamble huh." Shun displayed a wide smirk on his face.
"Actually that 60% is the chance of our survival if we ever encounter that thing. Our winning rate is 20% and the other 20% is the chance of meeting that creature." Rai replied with a straight face. He's trying to convince Shun not to get him involve in his 'best friend issues'.
Shun frowned after hearing Rai. "Is that... supposed to be a joke?. he confusedly tilted his head. "Well, I didn't get it anyway."
"He's not dumb enough to get fooled, but he's dumb enough to not understand that it wasn't a joke. What a perfectly balance of creature. I wish I could be like him someday." Rai laughed in his thoughts. "Okay, let's go hunting." he casually responded.
"I'm not against it or anything. But since we're going hunting, I guess fighting is necessary, are you strong enough?" Shun curiously glanced at Rai, looking from head to toe.
"I'm currently level 3, I'm a wizard type and I can use lighting magic. What about you?" Rai glance at him and narrowed his eyes.
"Well, I'm strong." Shun proudly pointed at his Player indicator.
"Let me see your Status window!" Rai suspiciously gaze closer at him.
"Sure, [status!]" Shun chanted, summoning his status window.

"Alright... let's go!" Shun shouted from the door and started walking near the hallways, quietly.
"Hey, Don't ignore me!" Rai grumbled, throwing a pebble at him.
"We know how to reach Yuya, but that doesn't solve the fact that it's so dark in here. How can we even find that raging cheetah? This is bullsh*t!" Shun annoyingly grumbled.
"Don't worry! I got your back!
"LIGHTNING: SHINE!" Rai's body started glowing with magic light surrounding him.
"What the hell is this bright light? It's giving a holy-light vibe. Are a holy flashlight or something. That's pretty convenient." Shun cleared his throat, almost laughing at the scene in front of him.

"Right!" Rai agreed with his comment. "But it consumes so much mana, though. I can hold it for about an hour." he mumbled.
"An hour, that's pretty much." Shun covered his eyes from the bright light. "But your so bright, you will attract every single monster in this area, and we'll end up dead before we find what we're looking for!"
"You should've told me earlier" Rai responded quietly as they heard foots steps around the building. "Cr*p!"
"What a terrifying side effect," Shun quietly whispered.
"Shhh, I think we're surrounded." Rai responded. "What should we do?"
"Let's split up for now..." Shun suggested.
"Why? Are you planning on leaving me behind?"
"Of course not, you're the one who lead me to Yuya! Just trust me I have a plan! Just keep on shining." Shun whimpered at him and run away in the opposite direction.
Shun can hear the weird noises that the monsters makes, outside the school building and up in the ceiling next floor.
"If we're going to hunt that beast, I need to reserve my mana for later, sorry 'classmate that I didn't remember the name'." Shun whimpered in his thoughts, running in the hallways turning left and right. "It's a good thing that I can memorize directions and object position but in exchange, I'm not good at remembering names." Shun stopped in one corner near a window to rest, he's heavily panting.
He quickly ducks as he sensed the monster passing by outside the window. "This is a narrow place, if we'll fight in here, it'll be a big problem. I hope 'that guy' will take the hint." He take peaks at the window as he saw a fast bright light passing through the windows, climbing up the roof as multiple monsters is following his track.
"Nice! They took the bait."
"That guy he was seriously strong at his level.." He thought.
---
"Shun you son of a b*tch, where the hell did you go? Are you trying to feed me to this hungry monsters!" Rai screamed as he ran faster and faster as the monsters are getting closer and closer. "F*ck, I'm gonna die!" He screamed.
"Don't worry, just keep running!" Rai hears a voice shouting, he quickly anchored his eyes to that direction as he saw Shun standing at the end of the building's rooftop.
"Shun?...what a relief," Rai shouted as he runs in horror. " I thought you've runned for yourself."
"Over here!.....now stop!" Shun shouted.
"Wha–" Rai stopped running and made a confused look.
"Is that all of them?" Shun asked as he stared at the pile of monsters entangled in front of him.
Rai turned his head as he saw the entangled ugly creatures "Eh, what happened to them?" He confusingly asked.
"They might be terrifying monsters, but they're not that smart." Shun responded. "I kind of, figured it out earlier." he grinned.
"This building will collapse any moment. I'm gonna kill them right away," Shun stated, summoning his dagger and take a deep breath.
