“Finally…. But what do I eat? I don't know any plant around here that's edible nor is there anything to eat.”
Bananas
“...."
Or monkeys
"I don't think I want to know what a monkey taste's like."
Tristan looked at the trees around him. He could see monkeys climbing up the trees occasionally.
Those monkeys climbed the tree as if their life depended on it! What the fuck is this? How will he be able to beat them?
He added all the five points he had obtained to agility. Boy will he need those points.
The monkeys climbed like the world was going to end. There was something interesting about them though. They didn't fight with their brethren. If one monkey had bananas, another wouldn't try to snatch it. They wouldn't climb on trees which are already being climbed.
Even these monkey were much better than those so called 'human beings’ on earth.
‘That's all well and good…… but why the do they hate me?! What have I done to them?! I just want bananas.’
This cursed world never let him have an easy life. What could he do? He just got up and started climbing with his feet. The chakra in his body was transferred to his legs and manipulated so that the chakra would stick on to the tree bark. Therefore making him walk on the tree.
After walking for a few steps one of his legs suddenly slipped. His upper-body went towards the ground while his second foot was still attached to the tree bark.
Crack!~
The muscles near his hips were stretched to the core.
“Awooooooo!!!!”
Wailing like a wolf, he lost his concentration and his second leg also lost its support.
Thud~
He fell to the ground head first. It was quite painful. “Ouch, ouch, ouch.”
He caught his head with his hands and started rolling on the ground.
“I thought it would be easy! Why did I fall like that?”
To reply to the host. You used very less amount of chakra. Your chakra control is also very less.
While he had a chat with his system, another monkey came near the tree he was previously trying to walk on and climbed it up. It snatched all the bananas and ran away.

“Hey! Wait! I just need one banana!”
The growling of his stomach forced him to chase after the monkey. Can't beat em? Join em? Nah! Chase em!
The monkey looked back at Tristan like he was a filthy monster and picked up it's pace. Apparently an agility stat of 37 isn't enough to chase a monkey.
Watching the monkey climbing trees and running off into the distance, Tristan wondered if he could do the same once he learnt how to walk on trees.
“Looks like I can't eat a banana until I climb the tree and get it.”
It's not like he couldn't climb the tree but the moment he did, the monkeys would also start climbing and reach the bananas on the top of the tree earlier than him.
The banana trees weren't like how they were back on earth. They were ridiculously tall and had only four to five bananas on each of them.
Tristan saw a tree near him that didn't have any bananas on it. He decided to just train on it.
Tristan lay on the ground in front of a tall tree that had a lot of cut marks on it. The cut marks looked like they had been made by a sharp object.
His stomach grumbled as he struggled to stand up. His body was dripping with sweat and he had bruises all over.
“Haaaaaa!”
The sound reverberated in the forest and caused the monkey which were in the area to squeal in shock.
Tristan ran on the tall tree with a kunai in his hands. He reached the area where the cut marks were made and tried to run past them. Unfortunately he lost balance and slipped.
Before falling towards the ground he left a mark on the tree with his kunai. The mark looked similar to the other cut marks on the tree.
He somersaulted in the air before landing on the ground on his knees. Breathing deeply he dragged himself to the tree and leaned on it.
“Sigh~ I don't think I can do this….” The mark he had left was before another mark.
“How had Naruto and Sasuke done it?”
He had attached chakra from his legs to the tree, indirectly attaching his legs to the tree. Use too much and a part of the tree gets destroyed. Use too less and you just fall off. Finding the right amount of chakra to use and maintaining it was the trick.
He had already found out how much chakra to use but he couldn't maintain it. He would either get distracted or get hungry and that much was enough to make him fall down.
When would he be able to eat? It's already time for lunch….
While he was thinking on how to solve this problem, the monkeys nearby came closer to him.

Many monkeys formed a semi circle around him and one of them walked towards where he was seated.
They had watched him for a long time now (and his stomach grumbling) looking at the amount of effort he put in, the monkeys were moved.
Eventually even the monkey felt pity for him and decided to give him a banana.
“What up with these guys ? They didn't even want to let me have a banana before. Why the sudden change in attitude?”
Tristan was feeling a little surprised right now. What were these monkeys doing?
The monkey that had walked up to him kept a banana in front of Tristan and walked away. It turned back and looked at Tristan encouragingly. All the monkeys then went back to what they were doing- finding trees with bananas and eating them or carrying them away.
Tristan was completely amazed. These monkeys can have human expressions and had pity on him. He had been reduced to such a state that he needed a monkey to feel pity for him to get soon food.
“Hahaha! Well good for me anyway! Thanks for the encouragement I guess? “
He picked the banana up and gobbled it all up.
“Phew~ although it's a single banana, something is better than nothing. Let's do this!”
Fist bumping in the air he gained his confidence back and he ran on the bark again.
This time he didn't let anything bother him. He just went on his way. The farther he went the tougher it became. He didn't succeed this time either. Falling down he had a smile on his face, because he had ran the most distance than he had ever done before.
As soon as he fell he started running again. He finally understood how to run to a farther distance. The more fluently you control the chakra the more stable the climb is.
Fail? Again! Fail? Again! He went on and on until he finally succeeded.
The breeze made his dark hair flow in the night as he stood on the top of a tree. He looked up towards the sky and shouted like a gorilla with his hands on his chest.
“Woohooooooooooooooooooo! I did it!”
The host has 8 hours to complete the mission.
“What? Didn't I just climb the tree? What more do I have to do?”
You have only climbed the tree but you need to beat the monkeys as well.
“... Shit….. I forgot……”
Tristan decided to ask something that had bothered him to the system now.
“Hey system?”
Yes
“Why are the monkey here so clever?”
These monkeys are the lvl 6 offbeat monkeys. They have high intellectual than ordinary lvl 1 monkey and have a high amount of agility. They have a higher agility due to their habitats. Their habitat requires them to have a higher agility to gather all the bananas in the area.
“But…. Why do they keep collecting the bananas?”
It is currently spring and not winter. The special banana trees produce bananas only in winter and spring. When the winter birds arrive, they will take away almost all the bananas. Very little amount is left with the monkeys. The monkeys have preserving methods which can be used to preserve a banana for a year. Because of this they need to make preparations.
“Wow! That's amazing….. only lvl 6, yet such intelligent creatures. I wonder how the higher level creatures are like.”
Tristan decided it was enough chit chat and decided to get down from the tree. He noticed that the monkeys were collecting bananas even in the night.
“They work pretty hard.”
He saw a monkey climbing up a tree and he followed it by climbing up.
The monkey yelped in surprise as he saw Tristan run past by him. The monkeys may be faster than him when going from tree to tree or running on ground but their speed drastically decreases while climbing a vertical tree with no branches.
He might have been slower that them while trying to climb normally but now that he could just run on it, he didn't have any problems beating them in terms of speed. The three bananas fell into his hand while the monkey shouted in disappointment.
Tristan then continued to jump of the tree and land on the ground. He quickly ate a banana and left the other two on the ground.
“i will be taking one of these since i haven't had anything than another banana from morning. You can have the other two. I don't know if you can understand me but thank your friends for giving me encouragement. Getting encouragement from somebody I didn't except really helped.”
While walking with a banana in his mouth he felt really relieved to be finally eating something. But the system always had to ruin the moment doesn't it?
Ding~ you have completed the lvl 10 mission.
You are upgraded to lvl 11 automatically as a reward.
Congratulations for leveling up to lvl 11.
You will be transferred to the next training area while the system undergoes upgrades.
“What?! What about the bonus reward.”
You shocked the monkey by suddenly appearing near it and thus have failed to complete the bonus mission.
“The heck? Didn't you tell me that I only had to make sure I don't hinder it's path?”
You did.
“Well I kind of did but doesn't that only count if I had hindered it to let me make my mission easier. Clearly I easily defeated it.”
Good luck in the next training ground~
3…..
2…..
“Wait! My bonus!”
1…..
Shut down.
“Noooooo!!!”
