《The Naruto system》Babies are lvl 2? Why am I lvl 1?

Tristan crouched down and cried out in pain as he caught his foot.
“Ouch ouch ouch ouch!” He looked at object that had dropped down on his toes out of nowhere. The object was the cuboid he had lying around in his storage up until now.
He crawled up to the box and opened the lid off it. As soon as lid was removed messages from the messages from the system stormed his brain.
Obtained lottery ticket x 3
Obtained kekkei genkai x 1 (random)
Obtained kunai x 1
(Kekkei Genkai: basically a hereditary power in the naruto world. It passes on from generation to generation.
Kunai: a ninja weapon. Check it out on the web)
“Kekkei Genkai! I finally have the hopes of getting the Sharingan!”
(Sharingan: one of the most famous and powerful hereditary powers in Naruto. Basically every Naruto fan has a desire in having this power.)
He tried to control his excitement and quickly opened his storage. He found three items inside now. He clicked the book which said kekkei Genkai.
Use kekkei Genkai (random) x 1
Yes/ No
He quickly pressed the yes button. The blood in his body started to flow faster and a black white rectangle popped up in his mind.
The rectangle slowly showed different names of kekkei Genkai like a lottery machine. One name came and disappeared and in its place came another. Like this names kept switching out and in. Whenever the name Sharingan would come up Tristan would get all excited.
(Author’s note: let's call the switching in and out of words as random effect.)
Soon the random effect got so fast that Tristan's eyes could not keep up with it. After about 30 seconds the random effect finally slowed down and approached a snail’s pace.
Mud release, wood release, magma release, crystal release……
“Come on, come on, please stop at Sharingan.”
Sharingan! The random effect finally ended by stopping at Sharingan.
“Yes! I got it! Hell yeah! I am going to get rinnegan soon as well! Mwahahaha!”
(Rinnegan: an upgraded version of Sharingan.)
Congratulation! You now have the quasi kekkei Genkai- shadow bind.
“Yeah! No…. Wait! Where is my Sharingan?!”
User does not have dual elemental affinity to have any kekkei Genkai. The system compensates you by providing a quasi kekkei Genkai.
“I don't want a quasi kekkei Genkai! Give me back my Sharingan!”
The body of host does not support a Kekkei Genkai….
“My-my Sharingan…...nooooooooooooooooo .”
………
Tristan was so sad that tears started forming in the edge of his eyes. ‘I was conned! Conned by a fucking system! I thought the MC’s in the light novels were just exaggerating when they meant that a system will always screw with the host!’

He cried out loud and pestered the system for the Sharingan but it just ignored him.
In the end he decided to drop it and resign to his fate.
“It seems my luck is bad no matter where I go. Chech! Crappy system! I will never forgive you!”
A thought went past his mind as he remembered about the lottery tickets he had obtained.
“Ah! Yes, let's use the lottery tickets!”
He closed his eyes and got into the system. “Oye crappy system how do I do the lottery?”
You need to go to the menu and click on use lucky spin.
Tristan did as he was told and went into the lucky spin system. There were 8 divisions on the spinning wheel. 4 of them had exchange points on them. One of it was chakra unlock. Another two had paper bombs on them and the last one had a cuboid with full of question marks on it.
“How do I spin the wheel?”
You need to imagine it spinning. It will start spinning and stop at one of the 8 items. The item which will have the pointer aiming at it when the wheel stops will become yours. The rewards get better each time you level up.
“Ok then I'll just save them for a later use.”
Tristan opened his eyes. “What do I have to do now?”
Killing monsters to level up. Please kill the giant caterpillar worms around 300 meter radius to reach lvl 2.
Random mission issued. (Reward: 10 exp)
“Ok then let's get started! It'll be as easy as a pie.”
He removed the kunai that he had recently obtained from the newbie box and walked into the wilderness.
2 hours later~
A person was being chased by a hoard of caterpillars in the wilderness. It seemed quite strange actually. The caterpillars were also unusually larger than their regular size.
The caterpillars were adamant on chasing Tristan no matter how much he tried to outrun them. He had only 30 caterpillars by now
“Ok. This isn't as easy as I imagined it to be. By the way system, how are children in this world lvl 2 when it's so tough to get to that lvl?”
The host is weak. The children are naturally strong since birth due to genetic hereditary. Some children are lvl 5-10 from birth itself.
“Isn't that fucked up? What kind of monsters are they?” Tristan jumped over a low wall formed by mud and did a little bit of Parkour as he climbed onto a tree to escape from the caterpillars.

“Any ideas that might be helpful right now?”
The system recommends the host to use lottery tickets and obtain paper bombs.
Tristan thought about it for a while and saw the caterpillar hoard swarm off to some random direction. 'paper bombs might came in handy while trying to kill these weaklings. If it was just about 5 to ten caterpillars it would have been easy but there almost 200 of them!’
“Use a lottery ticket!”
Confirm use of lottery ticket?
“Yes.”
Ding~ Lottery ticket used…….. Ding~ obtained chakra unlock.
Chakra unlock- it helps the user to manipulate, store and use chakra in jutsus. Average lvl for unlocking chakra - lvl 5.
Awarded mystery box X 1 for unlocking chakra before the average lvl.
“I didn't get paper bomb…. Use another lottery ticket!
Confirm use of lottery ticket?
“Yes.”
Ding~ Lottery ticket used…….. Ding~ obtained mystery box X 1
“Shit…. This crappy system!”
He shed tears of blood as he spent another lottery ticket.
Confirm use of lottery ticket.
“I get one… just one lottery ticket every month and I cannot believe I spent it like this. It’s like I spent three months of my salary in one moment.”
Ding~ Lottery ticket used…….. Ding~
Obtained paper bomb x 10.
“Yes! At least the system gave me what I wanted!”
Host has unlocked chakra. You can now use your ‘only’ move shadow bind.
Shadow bind- This technique is a quasi kekkei Genkai used to bind the opponent in his place with your shadow. Your shadow extends as it goes towards the opponent's shadow. Once connected together the opponent can't move unless you unbind your shadow.
Note: effective only on people with same lvl or lower than your lvl. It's very tough to maintain the bind with higher level opponent as it uses up a lot of chakra.
Tristan got depressed just thinking about how he lost the Sharingan. Just the name 'shadow bind was able to arouse his anger.
“System, how many points do I have to get another elemental affinity?” he asked while gnashing his teeth.
Host is dreaming too much. Please focus on leveling up to lvl 2 first.
“......” Tristan was speechless as he noticed that the system might have a personality.
Jumping down from the tree, Tristan ran towards the direction the hoard of caterpillars had gone to.
“Light, what's the level of those caterpillars?”
Level of caterpillar hoard ranges from 1-2.
Hmmm…..
Although Tristan could not overpower the caterpillars, his speed was far greater than that of the caterpillars.
He caught up with the caterpillars in no time and taunted them by throwing a few stones at them. He feared they would split up if they didn't find him and he would have to wait for some time for them to gather up again.
“Heya fellas! Miss me?”
All the caterpillars turned around and looked at him at the same time.
'run away!’
He ran as fast as his legs could carry him to put some distance between him and the hoard. Once the distance was established he put a paper bombs on the ground and ran again.
The caterpillars had caught up with him by the time he arranged the paper bombs on the ground.
Fortunately for him, lvl 2 caterpillars weren't intelligent and didn't notice anything amiss.
Tristan had imbued some of his chakra into the paper bomb. He learned how to do it when he had unlocked his chakra.
He turned around finally stopped running when almost all the caterpillars were over the paper bombs. He activated his shadow bind.
His shadow turned into a weird shape and moved like a snake on the ground as it slithered its way to the caterpillars. It fist connected itself to one caterpillar’s shadow, then another and another. Soon enough 200 or so caterpillars had their shadows interconnected to each other like a spider web.
One of the advantages of shadow bind. More shadows? Well, less chakra spent.
“Got em!”
Tristan activated the paper bombs. Fireworks were into play as green colour blood splashed everywhere.
“It's over.”
All the caterpillars had been annihilated. In fact the explosions were so strong than some of threes surrounding them had been destroyed. All that was left was the disgusting burning smell with huge amounts of green blood everywhere. The caterpillars body parts were also all over the place.
Tristan powerlessly fell to his knees. The amount of chakra spent had take a toll on him.
Ding~ obtained 227 exp points.
Ding~ congratulations for leveling up to lvl 2.
Ding~ reward for random mission obtained.
Ding~ congratulations for leveling up to lvl 3.
A string of messages stormed his brain as he breathed heavily.
Ding~ you are finally above lvl 2! Your status bar has been upgraded.
