Looking at the sky and feel relax for a bit make me forget my surrounding until my partner shouting

“HEI! How long you’re gonna slacking off? Help me already and we need repair this fast!”

“yea yea yea, I’m sorry … “

His name is Marcus, about mid thirty with tan skin. We are working as Repairman and currently we are repairing some Air Conditioner and some other stuff at roof top hotel.

“Hei Sulis, after this job done, would you like to get some drink? It’s been a while we drank together, well I know you are not like drinking alchohol too much, but at least lets go get some dinner together and talk about something”

“aw, you are so romantic invite me a date”

“don’t be sarcastic, I’m being serious here”

“haaa~, alright … but on your treat”

Well, is not rare my colleague invite me to eat or drink. Usualy they invite me because they had a problem and they want to talk about their problem. it feels good to be someone trustworthy, but sometimes it becomes annoying since you have the responsibility to keep it secret. The reason he invited me is obvious, he wanted to complain about his wife, well- at least I get free food though.

After we are done with our job, we go straight to the family restaurant since I won’t get drunk today. He talk a lot, I mean really a lot. ‘poor fella’ that what I thought about him. Anyway I can’t say much about it then I smile and said

“just be patient, maybe she said that to you because she love you”

“what about you!?, you seems never had trouble in your life”

“what? Not really, I have problem too it just …”

“it just What? C’mon, tell me about yourself, I just realize it that you never told anything about yourself”

“alright” giving motionless expression

“yeah …. Good, finally I can be more reliable a bit” murmuring a bit

“well, my name is Sulistyadi, a foreign, I’m 19 years old …”

“not something like that! I mean your past maybe or your problem”

“nope, currently I don’t have one, and about my past I won’t talk about it no matter what”

After we finish our meal. We back to the office and made some report, afterward I go back to my apartement. It’s small but more than enough for 1 person living in there. Today really exhausting, I fell into deep of my bed.

I wake up because of my cellphone ringing. Without checking up who is the caller I answer it.

“Hello?”

“HEI, WE GOT A PROBLEM HERE!”

“please, don’t shout, I just wake up here”

“THEN NO TIME TO EXPLAIN! WAKE UP AND GET BACK TO THE OFFICE RIGHT AWAY!”

He cut the phone? Well, it seems that was Josh, I recognize the voice.I check the clock, it was 4 AM. I hope that was not a joke, to wake me up in the damn morning. Since my apartement is not too far, I can made it there on foot.

When I arrive at the front of my office, I see a Police car and a lot of police inside the office. I spotted Josh and ask him what happen. He said our boss is suspected of corruption. How could that happen!? Our boss I mean, Mr.Rudi is honest man!. Why? Because back then when I was still at my own country, he help me by offering job and work for him, gave me place to live and he even invite me here to start new life. Shit! How could this thing happen!?.

At the crowd of neighborhood, Police, and even local Reporter I heard something related to this

“This must be because of Son of CEO”

“shhhh!, you shouldn’t say that loud, do you want to lose your job?”

There is 2 women blending in crowd but I know them, they are Maria and Janet the office worker at this place. I approach them and drag both of them to behind of the crowd.

“what do you know? Tell me about Son of the CEO you talking about!”

“SSHHHH!!, I will tell you but lower your voice!”

“Well, you know him right? He is Director at this district office.”

“yes I know so what about it?”

“Our office is one of the biggest at this city, so most of the money came from this branch office”

“our manager I mean Mr. Rudi is honest man, he always give the real number of Income that the office had to the company”

“and Mr Director don’t like him, likely Director is the one who corrupt even though it just a rumor but that was well known”

“because he assigned to manage this District and the main Income is from our office, since he cannot persuade Mr. Rudi, I think he might be want to get rid him”

“I know we are like gossiping, but I think this is what happen, I know we can’t butt into this problem it just … I hope we can do something, especialy you, you are the most close to the Mr Rudi”

“Yes I know, ah! Then where is Mr. Rudi right now?”

“I think he is at the Police HQ right now”

“Thank you so much both of you! I owe you something for the information”

I couldn’t think straight, I just feel so glad Mr Rudi didn’t do that and I hug both of them, since I was a tall guy and they are just half of my body, I do that unconsciously, well~. I thank them once again and ran to the Police HQ. I might be a bit far but that no sweat for me.

I arrive at the Police HQ and ask the receptionist for Mr Rudi, gladly I got permition to talk with him before he transported to the Jail. One of the police women guide me to some room, and there is mr rudi sitting at the room with handcuffs.

“Mr Rudi!”

“Sulis, what are you doing here?”

“I came here to find and talk with you, what happen actualy?”

“ah, I’m sorry, but I don’t know too, what I know is that I was suspected of some corruption at the company”

“how that’s happen?”

“unfortunately I don’t know, but they said all the evidence is come to me”

“shit! This must that guy! The …”

“NO!” I shocked when he shouted and interrupted me

“why? I know you know it”

“haaa~, I invite you here to get a new life and good a new future but yet you reject it when I offer you some scholarship to go to college instead working for me”

“why you talking about that?”

“I mean you must stay away from this, don’t worry about me, and one more thing … come a bit closer”

with lower voice, almost like whispering he said

“I have weak heart at my medical record, so I will pretend that I got some seizure and droped to the floor, when that happen, pretend that you help me, there is a bank card with your name at my left pocket, the password is 6559788, take it and don’t ask anything”

And then I do what he said. Afterward Mr Rudi transported to hospital accompanied with police. I just can’t understand it, why he do that so much for me. With so much question I leave Police HQ and go to nearby ATM to check the card. I was really shocked about amount of the money inside, it is about 2,143,600USD. I never had or seen money that much, I had 20,000USD at my own card it took me a whole year saving it from payday.

Without realizing, the dawn has come. I’m too confused and exhausted about the whole morning, maybe I shoud rest again and think something afterward. So I walk again back to my apartement and sleep try to forget about what happen for a while.

I wake up at 10 PM and start thinking. ‘what should I do now? He said not to butt to this problem’ I was thinking in deep thought about the choise ‘should I leave it? And do what he said or should I get avenge him? But what could I do? I just a damn repairman’. I look at the bank card and ‘what should I do with this? With this money I could buy a larger apartement and start lill business for my own’. I also thinking about my job as repairman, I was working there because Mr Rudi, ‘should I quit? And do the business?’ more choise come to mind but then my cellphone ringing. It was Janet whos calling

“hello?”

“hello! I have some a bit information regarding the CEO son” she speak with low voice

“yes, what is it?”

“you know game about sword and magic, errrm it was VRMMORPG …”

“yes I know, it was The New Welt right?”

“ah yes, that’s right! Well, the CEO son playing it, it seems all the money has is for buying and upgrading his character …”

at that moment I snapped and got some Idea

“well, I’m sorry, I only know this information, it might me not useful”

“no that’s more than enough, thank you so much janet”

I ended the conversation with Janet and start to draw a plan. With this money I can afford 1 year internet connection or more and buy some VR device. About the VR or Virtual Reality game is already popular and being an uproar about 7 month ago, well since I’m poor I try not to think about it and be ignorant about the game. This game is absolutely like real life, it just they set at the Magic and Sword and multiple races. Just like other MMORPG, it has Status, Level and Classes. Well all the cost to paid this game and internet for 1 year it just about 35,000USD, 30,000USD for the device and 5,000USD for decent internet connection. In this year 2032 VR game actually is not something new, development of game, I heard it began when some company introducing Oculustrift and then developing again into VR game Helmet which emitting wave to the brain but at the times it was dangerous and developing again into full set of Device, which is like a bed. Also the game itself developing and the best and the latest game is The New Welt, I think the word ‘Welt’ is came from Germany language which mean ‘world’, why not just ‘The New World’ argh! Forget about it.

If I can’t avenge at real world maybe I can avenge it at the game, I will take revenge for him, I still don’t have detailed plan or future plan but right now I will Set my plan for this first, one problem at the time. About my job as repairman I think I will quit. I have enough money at least for 2 years or more, with the time flow I will figure it somehow to get money with another way. I ordered the device and the internet, well I also bought a new set of PC, not too advanced and not too ancient.

After a week, the Device and Internet connection established I try to log in, for the first time in my life I try a VR game. The device began scanning my brain wave and the bed which is also like a sleeping sofa is a bit shaking for a while or I don’t know what this thing doing. Well before that I already read the guide and forum game, so many information I already acquired at least like some drawback for every race and many more.

I began to faint, leaving the real world and feel something. I see some dim light but then the light swallowing me. I login into the game
