Chapter 31 - Town of Snow Crest
Snow Crest Town, the town that can be rightly called a city. But though reasons unknown the town refuses to change it's status as a City. The reason for such thing according to others was that the town doesn't dare to be called a city when the town of Snow Crest doesn't even have such great thing like a seedling tree.
But one thing that can be called 'great' in this town was the Ever Winds, the bright auroras of light that dances in the night sky of the start of winter, for though it is common to see the aurora's of light in the continent of Valhalla, what makes them special in Snow Crest is that due to the natural valley formation of snow spring and the crystal clear streams and the hidden lake in the valley that it magnifies the aurora lights.
For starters the buildings in the Snow Crest Town are made out of stone bricks rather than the usual town's and city where they are mostly made out of wood in order for the blessings of the world tree to be latched into their homes and be blessed with blooming flowers that freshen the air and surrounding of their homes.
So the usual reaction of someone new entering the town of snow crest would always be kind of dumbfounded and would feel different due to the atmosphere.
''Hey, can you sell the skin and meat already? There are like merchant stalls line up right here'' said Stian.
''What are you saying? You can't sell untanned fur skin and uncured meat to the merchants '' Cyra stated.
''Why?, merchants buy that kind of stuff right?''
''If they were already tanned fur and cured meat, but merchants buy and sell things, so naturally some of them have no idea on how to tanned fur skins and or cure meat especially the ones that belongs to Nivis Trolls''

'' Then, shouldn't they learn some things like that? '' Stian question.
''Well, firstly they have to gather tools, second the cost of tanning the skins and the waiting, and also why would they need to bother that much when they can't immediately make profit out it?''
''I don't know... stockpile them maybe?''
''Whatever, anyway lets go the Black Snow House we can sell these things there ''
''Why there?'' asked Stian
''Because they are hunters and they know how to deal with these kind of stuff?'' ' as Cyra furrowed her brows
''(Excuse me, for not being use to the hunting trade, I might know how to skinned and roast meat ,but selling them is not something I have done yet..)''
''Anyway The Black Snow House, the place which the Black Snow Tribe does their trading in the town. In this town they are the ones who usually handles the tanning of skins or curing meat so lets go there and get our pay'' as Cyra then stride forward.
*****
As the two walk towards the Black Snow house, Stian who have been following Cyra have already taken out his camera as he took shots of the surrounding area while keeping an eye that no ones notices the floating lens that his desperately hiding under his cloak.
With the camera, Stian has been into his own world, while he takes images of the road, buildings and even the terraces that has flowing water that flows into them as a wheel of some sort distribute and flows the water into the pipes.
According to the book that Stian got, the Town of Snow Crest is also the home of Dvergr 's aka dwarves that lives in the mountains that surrounds the Town. According to the info in the book that Stian got, around the town of Snow Crest, there is number of tunnels that connects straight towards the mountain.

In that place lies the mines and workshops of the Dvergr's which many of the town's blacksmiths resides. And also because of the inventive minds of the Dwarfs that the reason why there are such strange machine line things is scattered around Snow Crest is because of their wanting to try things that may improve the town they reside.
Anyway, since the town is full of such race, that showing the camera or even letting any of them see my equipment's would be akin to asking them to dissemble them into pieces. So because of that, Stian doesn't dare to carelessly swing around his camera.
After eventually arriving at the Black Snow house, Cyra didn't waste any time and walked towards the counter and dealt with the materials they have. After a few talks, the transaction was done and Stian was handed the coins he received and was about to leave.
''Now, that's all done and you have already handed my share of coins, so I can now right?'' Stian asked.
''Yup, you can go now. See ya later Stian'' said Cyra as she dashed off towards the door
''Yeah, yeah see ya later.'' as Stian wave his hand goodbye.
Wew, finally she is gone..well time to find some Inn to stay I guess.
Without wasting time, Stian walked out of the trading house of the Black Snow as he started asking around for a good Inn to stay during the time he will be spending in this town.
After Going through the process of asking around the place, Stian bought a hand drawn map from one of the merchant stalls and decided to head to an Inn that is close to the lookout point where eventually the Ever Wind's will be clearly seen in it's beautiful splendor.

8 202Tales from the Triverse
Tales from the Triverse is part detective drama, part fantasy adventure and part space opera. I’m influenced by the likes of Iain M Banks, Isaac Asimov and ND Stevenson and work including The Wire and Gotham Central. It begins with an incident two hundred years ago which crashed three parallel universes together. Portals open up in 18th century London, sending England down a very different path. We pick up events in the 1970s, with the Metropolitan Police having established a new department to handle portal-related criminal activity. The story is about intolerance, immigration, multiculturalism and power. It’s about what happens when incompatible viewpoints are weaponised to seed discontent, and the efforts of some to create a fairer world. In the tradition of the best science fiction, fantasy and crime fiction, I’m using the setting to examine themes that matter to me in the real world. Who is it for?If you like science fiction or fantasy, or a mix of both, this is for you. It’s my first foray into crime fiction, but I hope if you’re a fan that you’ll enjoy yourself - especially if you’re looking for something a bit different. I write fiction that is optimistic, progressive and empathetic. Bad things can happen to good people in the stories, but the overall arc tends to be hopeful. Note that if it were a movie, Tales from the Triverse would be a 15 certificate in the UK.
